Taxpayers pay all your salaries and we are even paying for your subsidised bar at Westminster, so you can have a hot toddy whilst eating a breakfast paid by us at an allowance of £3.50 per day! Disgusting man.
Totally agree, Starmer definitely needs a psychiatrist, even if to just give him a diagnosis of being some sort of a psychopath. Unfortunately, as Starmer has claimed that he and his family would always use the NHS instead of going private (because the NHS was very good to his mother and saved her life several times 50 years ago!!!!) he will have a very long wait until he sees one, if he ever does. Round here, in North Wales, there is a wait of about 3 years.
Peter Lamb m.p should start to concern himself with the thousands of Pensioners ending up in NHS hospital beds for the whole winter because of this crass inhumane policy. This winter the NHS will suffer like never before, and Labours own research said 4000 deaths and thousands in hospital.
With that research being back in 2017 when the Tories wanted to get rid of the WFP, which Labour voted against on mass. There are far more pensioners now due to people living longer, so those figures are out of date. It has been reported that Labour didn't even undertake a risk assessment before announcing this policy.
They're in the pub all day mate, waitrose, garden centre cafes, M&S or on cruises. They're the wealthiest bunch in the country, why anyone thinks rich people need tax payer funded benefits is laughable.
I voted Labour one time when I was 18 first vote. I have never voted for them since, and I am in my 70s now. They have over the years justified the decision I made then about them. This latest decision they have made hopefully will be remembered in 5 years time by the public.
I began work in 1960 and it must have been 1970ish before I became aware that it was classed as a Benefit and there was not a pot with my name on and pennies going into it for me. Never did I ever hear a politician refer to anything other than a pension, or that a rogue government could refuse my right to a pension if it had the wish to do so. We were all misled so that when it is taken away it will not have been stolen; but morally it will !!!!
@@eimkei1339 Totally agree with it being theft, because if they take it away, the National Insurance we paid for all those years we were working (47 years for my husband but I admit it, only 23 years for me) was obtained on false pretences! We have been forced into paying for it in taxes and National Insurance as we work, told in no uncertain terms it is going towards our state pension when we retire as a guaranteed right to an income that at the very least, would pay for the basics of life. By implication, that included necessities such as food, heating, rent or maintenance costs round the home, clothing and council tax. I'm 66 now and have just started claiming my state pension. My view of it was if people can afford to invest in a private pension as well, well that's great, but many of us (myself included) were not able to because our wage was too low but when I was working I was reassured I'd be OK in retirement because I was paying National Insurance, which I was led to believe entitled me to guaranteed income at pension age. What they now appear to be telling us is that it was all a con, a scam, to get us to pay extra tax all those years we were working and now we have arrived at pension age, there's no guarantee at all and the government could snatch it away at any time! I strongly believe that confidence-tricksters have been imprisoned for less and that is where Starmer, Reeves and the rest of the cronies deserve to be.

Well fortunately they have no room in prisons so can’t lock every OAP up. But on the plus side if they are letting dangerous criminals out OAPs will be safer in prison and warmer and a lot cheaper than a care home.
What is being forgotten is that pensioners pay tax once income exceeds £12570. Increases in pensions merely increases the tax we pay on any private pension we have worked hard for.
The easiest way to means test it at a decent income amount would be to increase pensioners tax codes by the amount of the winter fuel allowance for anyone that pays 40% tax rate. So pay it to everyone, then get it back from the top earners without costly means testing.

It's not even minimum wage , some of these people are frail , disabled, don't have savings, the limit for pension credit is very low , and they spend many hours indoors , 300 pounds isn't a lot of money but it did help , many of these people will go without heating because they won't want to get into debt , I think many lives will be lost thus winter .
The limit for pension credit is £3 LOWER than the pension for anyone born after 1951 .... I'd love to see him heat his house for £3 a year. Despicable creature !
Agree. And an elderly frail person tends to incur higher costs to just survive than a younger, more able-bodied person. Of course, there's the need for a warmer home due to their blood circulation usually not being so good and the increased risk of strokes and heart attacks at lower temperatures etc, but also, they need more assistance with things like necessary jobs round the house and garden that they used to do themselves, such as mowing the lawn, painting and decorating, small electrical jobs, bits of plumbing and looking after the car. It gets very expensive if you can't do these things yourself.

Can I humbly ask you two guys a favour. Please ask the sheriff of Nottingham and his motley crew of £90,000+ salary earners to help breach the £20bn back hole by voting in a bill, in the commons stopping all heating allowances and housing allownances to MPs for the next five years. At that salary they can afford it. While they are at it they should turn off all heating in both houses while Parliment is sitting. After all there is enough hot air in there to keep them warm.
Great idea. I support it. Also, a significant amount of MP expenses is spent on large quantities of biscuits, especially Jammy Dodgers (a favourite of David Lammy's) and this is of course, a waste of tax-payer's money. If this frivolous expense was stopped, it would help trim the Foreign Secretary's waist line and reduce the £20 billion black hole. (Added Note: when I was at work, if I or any of my colleagues wanted biscuits or other treats, we had to bring them in ourselves at our own expense, as I'm sure almost everyone else had to do as well. Why are these exceptionally well-paid MPs able to put such items on expenses? ).
Get shot of the House of Lords. How can an attendance of over £300 a day TAX FREE be fair and just? And there's 800 of them. How much is that over 12 months?
🎯 This is not about "Labour" or "Conservative". That's just a distraction and a means to get people squabbling amongst themselves. This is about achieving The Great Resit (sic). They have another five years before 2030...
From what I remember of Joe 90, he acquired skills and talents from experts (eg surgeons or specialised engineers etc) via the wearing of his specially designed glasses. Through use of these glasses, Joe performed many great feats and saved a lot of lives. So I suggest that another huge difference between Joe and his look-a-like is that the look-a-like's glasses don't work. Despite wearing them, he has remained a moron.
Starmer is right, its going to get worse but not for him and the M.P.s. Starmer got £75,000 in clothes , glasses etc for him and his wife. That`s my annual pension times 5. I`m 77 and still go to work part time to make sure i am okay.
What their advisers failed to tell them was that pensioners have families who vote too. And those families are equally angry on behalf of their parents. That's many millions now vowing never to vote labour again. Not just pensioners. Double and treble that number. Talk about the law of unintended consequences. This is it on steroids. But they are too stupid to work that out and too much ego to admit they are wrong.
Precisely. The pensioners have children, grandchildren even great grandchildren who won't forget or forgive Labour if a family member dies as a result of losing their WFA.

EVERY LABOUR MP IN WESTMINSTER SHOULD BE RECALLED BY ITS CONSTITUENCY. The Recall of MPs Act 2015 is an act of the Parliament of the United Kingdom that makes provision for constituents to recall their member of Parliament (MP) and trigger a by-election. It received royal assent on 26 March 2015 after being introduced on 11 September 2014. Unlike recall procedures in some other countries, the act does not allow constituents to initiate proceedings. Proceedings are initiated only if an MP is found guilty of wrongdoing fulfilling certain criteria. A petition is successful if at least one in ten voters in the constituency sign. Successful petitions result in the MP vacating the seat, triggering a by-election.
Not only is this out of touch for any political party but to have the audacity to say something like this when MP's can claim on expenses for numerous costs including energy bills is just disgusting. There are going to be thousands of pensioners who will suffer and many will die because of this decision and all Labour can do is gaslight them by saying it's their choice?

Don't vote Labour in Mays election, get them out
Vote Reform in May
So well said,I love that we have you guys to have our backs, million thanks 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
Spot the difference..... Can't
They're both Wooden
Actually, one of them is made of plastic! Problem is, which one?
😮I SUPPOSE if YOU kno a pensioner, we will av 2TOP UP THER HEATING,4THEM,,shameful PRIVILEGE,MONEY GRABBING GOVERNMENT,,AWFUL 🤬🥶🤬
I spotted the difference.
One is a wooden puppet, controlled by pulling the right strings, and the other is a character on children’s tv.
@@cherryseptember8697And they cost £2,500 pounds. You'd think they'd work at that price.
@@williamhuxley Indeed!
They are a disgrace
Starmer is right, its going to get worse but not for him and the M.P.s. Starmer got £75,000 in clothes , glasses etc for him and his wife. That`s my annual pension times 5. I`m 77 and still go to work part time to make sure i am okay.
And DON'T buy an electric car, a Starmer car
Vote Reform.
He needs to resign.
Forget the gangs stop the incentives
REFORM nationwide folks
Doesn't the pratt know that inflation has gone up?????
What their advisers failed to tell them was that pensioners have families who vote too. And those families are equally angry on behalf of their parents. That's many millions now vowing never to vote labour again. Not just pensioners. Double and treble that number. Talk about the law of unintended consequences. This is it on steroids. But they are too stupid to work that out and too much ego to admit they are wrong.
Precisely. The pensioners have children, grandchildren even great grandchildren who won't forget or forgive Labour if a family member dies as a result of losing their WFA.
Shame your local Labour MP if he voted against the winter fuel allowance.
They don't feel shame!! Self satisfied money grabbers
The media seems to be ignoring the fact that the cost of living payments have also been abolished. Millions are going to struggle this winter.
Wonder how this MP's Constitute Pensioners are feeling about him now
another intelligent labour MP, god help us from these pratts
As a working man taking home 1.800 pounds a month I struggle to pay bills pensioners get around 900 pounds a month how do labour think they will survive
They don't. They expect to reduce the pension bill and be praised for it.
@@johngreen8996exactly.
I'm pensioner thanku understanding.and some people only take 1300 month home with families.i feel fir them .a lot more to come for people.i feel for lots people
@@Jennifer-x3m I wish you well Jennifer as starmer has let you down
EVERY LABOUR MP IN WESTMINSTER SHOULD BE RECALLED BY ITS CONSTITUENCY.
Sounds like a plan!
@@Yesser-Thistle73it needs to be done let’s get them out if a bi-election is triggered the labour traitor will not get back in
It is only worth doing if there is a Reform candidate to vote for
I like that can we do it.
YES, I want to, and i am knowledgable, but i am far to old to manipulate my brain in conjunction with computers. Otherwise i would have started one.
👏👏👏 well said Russell
One way, or another, these evil people have got to go.
Enjoy the job Mr lamb reduncy awaits
Not only is this out of touch for any political party but to have the audacity to say something like this when MP's can claim on expenses for numerous costs including energy bills is just disgusting. There are going to be thousands of pensioners who will suffer and many will die because of this decision and all Labour can do is gaslight them by saying it's their choice?
Where is Guy Fawkes when you need him?
Remember, remember the 5th of November. 🤔
Doing the weather these days.
If you haven't already seen it watch 2005 film 'V for Vendetta', brilliant film so suited to your comment.
Starmer is doing a great job at removing himself and his party forever, PAIN NOW RELIEF LATER.
I’m a pensioner and it’s all well and good boosting the state pension, which is my only income, unfortunately the increase now exceeds the tax threshold and I am presently paying income tax. So clearly the state pension is NOT a benefit.
They're lucky it's only boos....
Should he get 10 months in jail for offensive comments on X ?
Good comment.
Could listen to Russell all day long
Starmer and labour you need to resign
Crawley should recall Lamb. Get Labour out now
Somebody advised him to appologise, but we know what he is really like now, don't we?
Starmer the Embalmer,
All pensioner welcome including frozen ones.
If expressing our dislike for Labour MP's who got elected on a pack of lies is to let them know how we feel when they go out, then so be it.
Agree 💯👏💯👏💯
