@@simonp7095 if the Wallace and grommit license left, then it would be awesome. We could get the interaction with the river caves back and possible bring back the magnolia cafe
Really adds to the whimsical atmosphere when you suddenly hear someone yell "sit down and stop messing about!" over the speakers like we did yesterday. 😂
This is on my top 10 of all rides, its so nice to just chill and look at the scenery and animatronics. I just wish most of their newer rides were as well themed as this.
When I first rode Valhalla when I was 8 I was put off water rides for that entire year it scared me so much. I had never been on the river caves and was too scared to ride it, thinking there would be more massive drops. When I eventually rode it I loved it though, so much charm!
The ride is honestly so good, but I’d love to see some major updates to the ride, just to future proof it and modernise it here and there. Hopefully one day.
This was always a favourite of mine, glad to hear it’s still there. Haven’t been to Blackpool for over 10 years used to go every year as a child. Used to head for this, the magic mountain and the Alice in wonderland ride first lol.
Oh my River Caves! Summer holidays in Blackpool in 1943! I'm so happy to see the Pleasure Beach (my little brother used to call it the Pledger Beach). Blackpool! the tower! donkey rides on the sands!
Much more enjoyment on this in a 4 seater boat that doesn’t bang every side - the smaller boat is so much smoother. Miss the music in the section that used to have Gold Mine (rip) above it. We also always keep a look out for the dalek drawing in Valley of the Kings!
Wish Magnolia Cafe was still there. Love to see some footage of that unique restaurant. I actually loved the dank smell it had caused by the potent mixture of water and oil from the rides.
I remember the cafe and the Goldmine as you went past.I also remember thinking the drop was going to be stomach churning but its gentle. This,Noahs Ark and Alice In Wonderland were good family fun(I don't do thrill seeking so BPB not for me nowadays sadly).
I got stuck on this by myself when I was about 8 years old when it broke down next to one of the dinosaur animatronics and the lights went off for about 20 minutes. Needless to say I have submechanophobia now and will never be riding this again but still, here I am being a glutton for punishment and watching videos of it on UA-cam 😂😂😂
Used to love sitting in the cafe and sitting right next to the rail so I could wave at people lol could always time when the train and boat would come round :) such a shame that the gold mine is gone since it was my favourite I remember they blocked out the mine track from the cafe view before they took it all away :(
I totally agree with you and they should do more in that area as it is so bland not they have encased it. I used to love that café, always had lunch there.
@@kramreprah it really seems like a dead area now. I’ve always thought that if they can open it back up and make it the way it used to, then they should add some new impressive effects in there and animatronics, because now it’s just a corridor essentially. Where as it used to be a whole experience
we really enjoyed that thanks guys. we can't wait to get back to Pleasure beach. we live in Worcester about 125 miles away the 12th is looking tricky but were determined to get there on opening day
Why does it have tunnel of love written above the entrance? Confusing, good detailed ride, not keen on the the black plastic bag tunnel towards the end, spoils the experience
Fantastic ride, two things that could be improved. Back rest bar on the seats as it is a pain to try and stay upright when the boat stops on the lift hill near the end, it would aid you to get in and out the boat too. The part that was once the café and goldmine could have a theme of "Italy" with some gondolas and bring back the old prelude to earthrise music as that was such a special part of the ride. Other than that, what a bloody fantastic original ride and I totally love it.
Cool, are u testing the rides before rhe Pleasure Breach opens officially on April 12th 2021? I like this ride Im jus gutted that a roof has been put on where the cafe was coz I used to go in the cafe n watch people go past on the boats, why was the cafe view blocked off?
Remember a few years ago the people in front of me broke the wheels on their boat and we were stuck inside for an hour and had to push our way out using the walls on the side 😂
The only Time I have been on this ride is when I was a baby and I don’t remember anything what happened when I went in but I guess this video just showed me what actually happened
@@yourexperienceguide Oh great! I was gonna say cos it's my favorite part of the ride. I want to head down there next year at some point and to be honest I love the river caves. Thanks for the update!

Blows my mind that this was built in 1905, the way it originally interacted with Gold Mine and the cafe was brilliant designing.
Agreed, incredible that it’s still going and still very enjoyable
