Taepyeongmu(태평무) Dance of the Kim Sunyoung artistic lineage

- On Feb 28th, I went to see a dance concert hosted by Lee Sojung, the main dancer here in this video clip. She is a member of National Dance Company of Korea, and her performing Taepyeongmu Dance on the stage was breathtakingly great! That is why I decided to upload this video.
There are two artistic lineages of Taepyeongmu Dance: Kang Sunyoung and Han Youngsuk. The former one features very fancy outfits and a pair of long clothes to throw in the air. On the other hand, the latter one is relatively calm.
I think I only uploaded the Han Youngsuk ones so far, so this time I want you to enjoy another type Taepyeongmu Dance of the Kang Sunyoung artistic lineage... :)

What's the protocol with this specific traditional dress? Are you able to mix up the skirt color with the flower vest? I've seen a different performance with someone wearing the blue skirt but with the circle in the center like the red dancer in this one.

RhythmAddictedState Do some research about samulnori. You'll easily find what instruments are used in this clip. The sound of "Jing" is dominant here, by the way.

우째 박자가 무당 굿인지...
태평무는 굿이 아니라 나라의 화평울 위한 왕실의 기원인 하늘에 재를 지낼 째 추는 춤.
잔치 때에도 안 추는, 기녀들의 춤이 아닌 상궁들의 춤이었슴.
태평무는 현대무용입니다.
조선시대에는 없었고 현대에 와서 만들어졌습니다.
왕과 왕비를 묘사한 춤이죠.
