I like this a lot. The decoration is perfect, reusing some of the existing elements instead of scrapping everything. Those buttressed passages are awesome and re-skinning some of the walls and floors inside breaks the monotony nicely. Thoroughly enjoyed the video too, nice editing. 👍
This is by far the most lore friendly castle I have seen. Incredible work making it feel as if the minutemen are working with what they have instead of just making everything a semi-scrappy pre-war castle.
This is simply one of the best castle builds I have seen on here. the placement, the setting, the tone you managed to create is simply perfect. My hat off to you General
Not gonna lie I'd love to live here as a minuteman the way you built it giving it a strong standing look with the style of an apocalypse plus the preservation of histories items like a museum of honor and glory lol love this build, gives me so much ideas.
I’ve been doing castle builds for years now, constantly tweaking them whenever new mods were added to Xbox. I have to say this is a very nicely detailed build. It has a lot of elements that I always tried to emulate but could never quite master. This build flows extremely well with subtle nods to the history of the minutemen. How it’s cluttered a bit instead of being perfectly clean really ties it in with the rest of the wasteland. Well done man. Would love to see more builds like this in other locations.
Thank you so much. I used to build on PS4 with extremely limited mod tools so I understand how difficult that can be. Most of the ideas for this particular build came from years of tweaking on console, but it wasn't until I switched to PC that everything came to life how I truly envisioned it.
you went in a sort of opposite style of the castle than I did, and you absolutely nailed the look and feel of it, the detail you put in makes it genuinely feel like a group of people are living and surviving out of there and fortifying and using what's there as best as they can. I don't know if the rain was a choice you made but it really enhances the feel and tone and your use of the space and what was already there as features makes this build really stand out, I think this might genuinely be one of, if not the best castle builds ive ever seen. i hope you upload more builds, because you have a really good eye for settlement building!
I am absolutely blown away, it's so lore friendly and realistic, it's dark tho, but man oh man, that's by far the best version of the castle I found here on UA-cam!
I have placed my jail cells, barracks, mess hall and cemetery in the same locations in my Castle build. I love how scrappy your build is. Very nice unique looking build!
We have some of the same modes and did some similar things... like the venders on platforms at the windows. I do not do much outside the fort and tend to clean things up a bit more. I always wished they had done more with the settlements. Travelers visiting the settlements as well as the other traders and that they too would use any venders you had. I also want to see a family mod where they might have elderly, children, or even infants and each family is only one settler... and they had better happiness if they had heat, insulation, windows, and cooking, toilets, showers, sinks, washrooms... cribs, toys, and playgrounds for the kids, rocking chairs and games for the elderly... and a bonus to each if they have their own dwelling with each of these. I also wish if you gave them showers they would be clean and if you gave them washrooms their cloths would be clean. Maybe even have schools, gyms, and things like venders would improve what the settlers had... better clothing, armor, weapons, and health.
The room with the beds reminds me of the dark brotherhoods sleeping quarters. The way you rebuilt the walls and have the wood supports looks really good too. The armory looks great! The wood plank path up the rubble looks great! You even did a grave for the fallen minute men! The radio room is really cool too! Great video overall and splendid editing, especially the side by side comparison. This was a real joy to see. Everything you did makes me wanna step up my building game. Gosh you even added brick flooring to the bare concrete in the castle. Love how the kitchen has clean floors as expected. But the medical area has rubble on the floor, I guess cuz a stimpak heals all wounds instantly by a simple injection. No need to cut anyone open to take anything out. Awesome build!I really dig this castle!
Thank you so much man! Really makes all the effort worth it when you notice the details like that! The entire build is kind of set up to function as a major military base for the Minutemen during times of war, hence the messy infirmary area lol
The Castle looks amazing. It really looks and feels like the HQ of the Minutemen. It looks like an actual military fort, especially with the bunker in the center protecting the communications tower, which is the most powerful and important tool to the Minutemen. The sleeping quarters look like something youd see in real life military bases. The dungeon looks very intimidating (I don't want to know how that wooden X shaped thing against the wall is used lol). My personal favorite is the General's Quarters. All in all, you have talent, and its a shame someone with such a talent has so few subscribers. Keep up the great work!
Omg you have an incredible control over your build style. Nothing felt out of place and everything made sense. I loved every part of tour, but the mine shaft entrance/short cut to the top of the wall, walkway around the wall and graveyard were far and away the most incredible parts.
Thank you so much. That entrance to the top of the wall was one of my favorite parts of this build too. I'll be uploading more tours soon so stay tuned!
i like how you used all vanilla items and didnt remove and clutter and jsut built ontop of it also those walkway/tunnels up through the broken parts of the wall wow A+
@@QUINGINNYou know, we are one year later, I'm still inspired by your work. Currently I'm building again and right on the Castle. I clearly admit trying to be the closest of your idea. Thank you 👍
I really like your build it really looks post apocalyptic I personally made mine in between post apocalyptic and militarized yours is pretty inspiring though
Excellent work. The docks is a nice touch. I'm working on something similar. I plan on having most of the costal settlements on the east having some kind of dock area with merchants on converted boats stationed outside. In my head lore they are traveling up and down that area providing different goods and services.
It's dark and rainy to emphasize how evil Preston Garvey is. "You see this Castle, general? It's because of me. The Castle is strong because of me. The Minutemen are back because of me. Me me me. Now you go help a settler who was kidnapped by a raider who got past all your placed missile turrets."
I love what you've done with the place. I won't lie, I took a lot of inspiration from your version of the Castle for mine. The only problem I have is that you blew up the Prydwen.
0:58 the gate at the front makes the castle looks like some sort of haunted mansion 3:36 reminds me of my old head teachers office 9:06 ok, things are starting to get a bit more spooky here
This build is so annoying cause it's just the kind of build I always try to make here, done to near perfection. This is some great inspiration, thank you
The only thing I’d say you should improve is the amount of settlers and maybe turrets. When you leave the castle this open instead of dividing the yard into many different sections, as others have done before you, it makes it feel nigh empty with so few people. Throughoutpt the tour it felt like the settlement, though large and quite defendable, would’ve been taken over by raiders long ago.
Nice, I personally don't use mods in settelemrnt building at all, I use a combination of carpet glitch, pillar glitch, and advanced snapping techniques, but this does give me some inspiration for the Castle, I've still never really built there. As others have said, your busy use of objects is great and I need to do more of that with my no mod builds. .
Okay, this is inspiring me to do some more work on immersive settlement builds. Most of my stuff is stripped-down and utilitarian, but man I think this may have given me some ideas to change that.
Would you perhaps ever consider making this a mod, if at all possible? This is an amazing build, and to me, the most realistic and lore friendly and it fits the aesthetic of the Minutemen perfectly, in my opinion. I hope you decide to do more settlement builds in the future. 👍

This looks like a combination of Resident Evil and Metro Exodus Vibes going on here and you my good sir get a like I got majority of these mods I might have to take inspiration from this thank you very much
I know I’m 2 years late to this video but I’m so curious. Haven't finished the video yet, but I'd just like to say a few things 1. HOW!? 2. If it's possible, you should consider putting this sort of work into the creation club. The amount of effort that has obviously been put into this build deserves all the recognition, and it couldn't hurt to earn a little something for it, no? (That is, if it's actually possible) 3.
