Good evening from Brazil, Miss Sabrah. I am back in order to answer the question you presented during the video. Well, the last thing that made me go ballistic was a classmate of mine's behavior, and it happened a long time ago. She took my tin of soft drink, shared it with our other classmates and drank the whole thing herself without asking me for permission. I could not believe her! Not once, in my life, had I gotten so upset. =/

Also could you please direct me to any website which have free C2 resources like sample tests or exams or any material really that can help me to prepare for C2 exam that I'm planning to set in June. Thank u in advance.
Hi Sabrah! Excellent lesson. I’m Learning a lot of expressions thanks to you. I have a question regarding the expression to come up trumps. Is there a link between this expression and Donald Trump? Many thanks.
You'd be surprised that I've finally attained fluency level because of watching your videos.Funny enough, most people think I've spent time with the native English speakers at some point in my life.
First of all Sabe, I would like to point out and highlight (especially for the most motivated learners reading me but still more listening to you) how much your introduction is important! I think that is what I once said to liya and Inna. I was elated that you recalled how important it is to appropriate, take ownership of the words, phrases, expressions and idioms by making, even writing sentences. Relating them to your own life and experiences is excellent !; Even best, to something that marked or hit you or that you currently live for example. Now reading them just once is still not enough. You have to come back to them an re-read them regularly! Another great tip is to write stories with them. The power of imagination (as Albert said;-) is tremendous and according to himself, still a greatest quality than pure intelligence!! The more your stories and sentences will be incredible and convey striking, powerful images even surrealistic (!), the more the expressions will hit your mind and will remain in your brain and long term memory. That is very efficient along with ideas/words/images association. You're so right about practising afterwards. The principle of spaced repetition (with longer and longer time spaces between each repetition) is probably the best in order to retain things in the long term (It has proved to be such). After that, of course, each one his own way of learning but that is very powerful indeed! Of course it implies and embeds a little work and assiduity but it's worth it! "There ain't no such thing as a free lunch!": no (minimum) pain, no gain! But most importantly, turn it into a pleasure, reading and writing and listening/watching about what you like the most in life! ... Thanks Sabrah for having raised that important and crucial point indeed ! 👌👍

Ok, I'll show myself out! .... ;-) PS: 'Zebra Crossing' is a real song by 'Eric Clapton and Cream' :-)
"When I first saw my paycheck was $247 per week, I went ballistic and almost felt to the floor"! I used to earn more than $6700 per month or $1,660 per week in Switzerland. I left Switzerland to the US due to my children dream in a big land!
Number 33 (18:07) always reminds me of the guys singing "Always look on the brightside of life!" as they're being crucified at the very end of 'Monty Python's Life of Brian' 😊👍 And of this adjective I like a lot: Panglossian (characterised by or given to extreme optimism, especially in the face of unrelieved hardship or adversity; From Pangloss, the name of the tutor and philosopher in Voltaire's Candide (1759)). ua-cam.com/video/SJUhlRoBL8M/v-deo.html Life's a piece of shit ...when you look at it But come on guys, give a whistle: 'Always look on the Briiight.. 'Come up trumps' = be a major success. I dunno why I laughed 😂 a lot when you said: "And that is kind of surprising!" with a pout/grin. Then there was like a cut followed by a smile...I somehow suspect you have 'self-censored' yourself at that moment. I’m wrong or not? 😊👌👍 I felt like you wanted to laugh too In French: je me 'Trump'? (trompe? ;-) Jeu de mot! haha..
Hi Sabrah! Only if you are up for it of course, I thought of proposing you a little challenge (a little homework). Can you write me (short/simple) sentences using: 1) se lancer dans l' aventure 2) 'péter les plombs' 😂 3) s' inspirer de 4) prendre forme/corps 5) retrouver la raison 6) refaire le monde ;-) 7) taper du poing sur la table 8) 'faire le rapprochement' or 'faire le lien' 9) Il semble que ... 10) partager le même point de vue 11) laisser échapper 12) tomber à court de 13) faire une répétition 14) 'à long terme' or 'sur le long terme' All of them would be great. Or just a few 1, 2, 3 ... as you wish Take the time if needed; don't rush! I know you're on the go so take it or leave it. No problem! ;-) If you decide to give it a go, don't worry at all about mistakes, I'll be there to correct (and explanations, if needed) Bisous. 🥰

Bon courage ! And here we have it, Sabe. Good luck! :-) 👍 🧡🥰 Ps: Thanks so much again Sabrah for that great important and very useful lesson. I found your explanations were top notch and I learnt a lot ! 1-6-9-10-12-14-18-19-23-24-26-27-28-35-38-41-42-45-46-49 were more or less new to me! I mean some of these were totally new and there are some I wasn't familiar with.
my parents really made a go of the business I’ve been on the go all week my cake went down really well yesterday I’m taking that bad grade in my stride I did come to my senses tho in the end
Me again Sabe but don't worry, you're gonna see me a lot about that fantastic lesson ...😂😊 One question; You presented " go bananas/ballistic" as 'being very cross /upset about something'. But could I say for example: "I would be beyond thrilled if I could meet either David Gilmour, Jimmy Page or Adele but, if I were to meet Sabrah, well, I would just go bananas! Even if I would probably be impressed, very nervous and scrapping sand with my two feet for the meeting itself!" (😊 Very true I guess!) Can you confirm me that it can also be used in a 'positive' way when you go crazy with joy or excitement?! Thanks ... PS: I understand you for the cute Frodo but don't worry too much for now. Little breeds can hope reaching between 12 and 16 years I would say. So you still have time even if that is inevitably sth you think about when you love your companion! May I ask how old he is. I would say sth like 6 judging by the photo :-) Bisous. I'm so happy that your lesson goes down very well so far ;-) As for me, I take a leaf out of your book!
Yes you can also say bananas like that! It can also mean to be very excited as you have shown in your example. Frodo is 10 😢 but he is a healthy little chap so hopefully he will be around a bit longer ! Hope all is well with you !!
One of the last thing that made me go bananas (such a funny expression) is directors (cinema, TV, concerts, football, etc) taking their keyboard for a music instrument, and getting literally hysterical with the knobs. The result is appalling...
To be followed ...Bisous 😍🌹🧡

Ma'am, is it right?
I am on the go. So I want to complete my work.
As far as it goes😁
'Come up trumps' = be a major success. I dunno why I laughed 😂 a lot when you said: "And that is kind of surprising!" with a pout/grin. Then there was like a cut followed by a smile...I somehow suspect you have 'self-censored' yourself at that moment. I’m wrong or not? 😊👌👍
I felt like you wanted to laugh too
In French: je me 'Trump'? (trompe? ;-) Jeu de mot! haha..
Great video as always.
What happened to no. 49, though? XD

Ps: Thanks so much again Sabrah for that great important and very useful lesson. I found your explanations were top notch and I learnt a lot !
1-6-9-10-12-14-18-19-23-24-26-27-28-35-38-41-42-45-46-49 were more or less new to me! I mean some of these were totally new and there are some I wasn't familiar with.
💙💙💙
my parents really made a go of the business
I’ve been on the go all week
my cake went down really well yesterday
I’m taking that bad grade in my stride
I did come to my senses tho in the end
Sabrah! Where is Leila? 🙄 Thanks for the lesson, as well as your time! If only Leila were here too! 😥
😃
Me again Sabe but don't worry, you're gonna see me a lot about that fantastic lesson ...😂😊
One question; You presented " go bananas/ballistic" as 'being very cross /upset about something'. But could I say for example:
"I would be beyond thrilled if I could meet either David Gilmour, Jimmy Page or Adele but, if I were to meet Sabrah, well, I would just go bananas! Even if I would probably be impressed, very nervous and scrapping sand with my two feet for the meeting itself!" (😊 Very true I guess!)
Can you confirm me that it can also be used in a 'positive' way when you go crazy with joy or excitement?!
👍👍
Her mother angrily said, "Don't take my love for granted"
Sabrah, if you wanna take the plunge and learn italian, I'll be happy to help you out! :-)
Thanks very much! Will keep it in mind 😂
I love you, girls, because everytime you replied to me ..... thanks very much
You are welcome ! You are all important to us!
I'm set in one way where I make an example whenever I learn a new word.
It will be more helpful if you could add a pdf document
Love you girls 👭
One of the last thing that made me go bananas (such a funny expression) is directors (cinema, TV, concerts, football, etc) taking their keyboard for a music instrument, and getting literally hysterical with the knobs. The result is appalling...
Tallness runs in our family
