You know what teacher? in the past, i used to believe that these expressions and phrases that Americans use in their daily life are not really that important and i don't have to learn them. But after i had started watching your videos and using those phrases in my daily life i started to see the difference, i realized that i'm getting more fluent and accurate. So I figured that I would have missed a lot if i had kept thinking that way. So teacher Wes i thank you from the deepest bottom of my heart for all the efforts you're putting and for every single drop of sweat you break when making such good quality videos ❤
If my memory doesn’t fail me I might’ve never commented on ur channel but this one shall say it thx millions of times for ur videos wallah the best channel on UA-cam I wish I had known u before wallah ur helping a lot I’m learning something new every time I click on ur videos I wish nothing but happiness among u, ur wife, the people u love or loves u ❤️🫡
At the beginning of my English journey, I was a real stickler for the rules. I didn't want to slip anything, thinking there's only a single CORRECT way to express something. As I started immersing myself into the fascinating world of the language, a simple yet impactful true struck my mind: you can say whatever you want, and only care about the message getting across. This mindset walks me through the different plateaus to this day. Thanks to this approach, I think I'm on the level that I could only dream of in the early stages. I'm not just trudging to the other lighted end of the tunnel: I'm skipping to it, all the way, enjoying and engaging with the language on a more comprehensive way. Greetings from Ukraine. Thank you, Wes, and keep up the fabulous work you've been doing so far!
I have learned a lot of this lesson because some of the mentioned phrases are new to me. Hoping that I could use them effectively. Teacher Wes, thank you so much indeed 😊!
@@InteractiveEng Dear Wes, are the following sentences correct? “The area surrounding the ancient castle exudes an air of mysterious, yet, at times, ominous calmness.” “The sixteenth century palace turned out to be a genuine masterpiece of architecture / an authentic architectural masterpiece that exuded an air of bizarre extravagance.” Could you please explain the difference between the words “freak”, “nut”, “lunatic fringe”, “fanatic”, and “fiend”? For instance, if I’m not wrong, it is possible to say that someone is a “health / sports nut” as well as a “health fiend”. Is this right? Would it make sense to say that someone is a “health fanatic” or a “health freak”? On the other hand, it seems odd to say that someone is a “health lunatic fringe” or a “grammar fanatic”. Or do these two combinations actually sound natural to a native English speaker? I would greatly appreciate your comment! Thank you once again for this wonderful lesson, Wes! Kind regards, Anna
