Do you have, or know of, a video showing how to replace the entire fuel pump assembly (with the two metal lines) from beginning to end, starting with the pump itself under the rear seat, for this same vehicle/years (i.e,. 91 - 02)? Help me Dr, I've been wrestling with this P0171 code for a few months. I also have had a weak start for a long time. I tried new MAF sensor and code returned, I tried numerous things and finally took to a shop that said MAF sensor. I told them a new one didn't fix and I asked about fuel pump, which the shop said wasn't it. I've got 185k miles on 2000 Corolla, and replaced the fuel filter around 150k. I don't like throwing parts to try and I can get a fuel gauge from Autozone. I don't understand how pumps can 'get weak.' The shop said they basically work or they don't. Sorry Doctor but you have to put a gauge fuel pressure in the line to know il you have the good amount of pressure in psi.
What is the thread on it? I want to know which pressure gauge I should buy.
@@Shumayal For a gazoline engine the pressure should be around 40 to 50 psi. So a gaugue 0 to 100psi is correct.
