No, it's really not - most of it is off-the-shelf. I think you'll find literally HUNDREDS of developers and artists made this 🤦♂🤦♂

I understand that injectable healing methods can feel more intense/intimate/grotesque/invasive in a game, and I get why they would make that design choice. but also girl don't use the random syringe you found in a rusted out hole on your human body!

Yeah, definitely big Annihiliation vibes, completely agreed. And it works - an Eastern Europian-esque Horror take on Annihilation is a great source for an atmospheric-as-fuck game like this.

Yes! I’m so glad someone mentioned it! I’m so obsessed with Annihilation but very few people I know have seen it, and those who have are shallow-minded and don’t appreciate it for what it truly is 🤣 truly opened my eyes to the absolute terror of cosmic horror.
Annihilation is a phenomenal movie and book!
This game has phenomenal atmosphere and sound design, even if some of the mechanics feel convoluted. It's very cinematic and the world design is gorgeous.
Maybe you avoided baddies by skipping the church part. The church was on the main road you never went back to. I hope this game gets fully fleshed out. It looks awesome

That intro was heartbreaking 😢 Walking through that mess of an apartment, the visual representation of misery and loss of hope. Looking out the window and then that last look back and seeing all the reasons to leave and absolutely none to stay. Was not expecting such a visceral gut-punch right off the bat like that! Hats off to the creator; well done, and ouch🤕
and then on top of that, immediately starting in a shitty car with almost no gas. Right back into a similar situation. That hurt on a personal level

I love the atmosphere! It’s creepy but it’s almost calming somehow at the same time. If Darkwood was 3D game, this is exactly what I imagine the dense, almost-sentient forest to look like.
It is fascinating to me that the difficulty is determined using medical terms, it implies that Chordosis is some kind of illness, I'm really looking forward to seeing where this goes.

Talk about a _totally_ immersive game! The level and density of visual detail is mindblowing. The ambient sounds and incidental music perfectly enhance the creepy, claustrophobic atmosphere. The story is interesting. And, all of this was created by a single developer. Amazing! I'm really looking forward to continuing Sadie's adventures in Episode 2.

Maybe you select a difficulty because episode 2 will progress using your previous save, meaning: same difficulty level.

This game reminded me a little of Soma, but even more beautiful! The atmosphere and sound design had me glued to the screen more than I have been with anything in months; I absolutely loved this.
Red lights on the side of the road are road markers so you know where the road ends in the dark. Especially if there’s plants around

I was kind confused at the beginning of this game. The detail in this game is amazing. At the end of this chapter of this game it looks like a survivor horror game.
This is like resident evil but with aliens and I'm here for it.
This kind of looks like and reminds me of SOMA from 2014, some of the elements and environments look like a remastered version of it like the underground bunkers and such. And then the outside world obviously looks more like silnet hill. This was super awesome!
You're on to something there. SOMA also fucked me up with all the horrible decisions and existential crisis they threw at you.
This game has a similar vibe of attack you with the sadness.
@@oliverer3 yeah seriously! I think SOMA is the scariest game ive ever played simply for its scale in existentialism and contemplating your existence. Plus it's also got thalassophobia because its under water as well. Scary shit lol probably my favorite horror game ever.
@@Z3dude12 I usually dislike horror games (other than watching Gab play them) but SOMA was something else entirely incredibly good game. One of the only games that has ever given me nightmares.
@@oliverer3 haha yeah i can totally understand that. Horror isnt for everyone but sometimes you can find a niche little horror that you actually end up finding which is awesome. Yeah, Gabs always helps to make it a little less spooky and more fun lol!
It also reminds me of Annihilation and Roadside Picnic with the sound effects, the eerie setting where some things don't make sense, and aliens causing some kind of weird effect on the environment and its organisms.

Sounds are heavy and awesome in this game. It makes the design feel higher quality when the sounds are not thin & unequalized. I love it ❤️

The cables between the towers in the fog are harnessing a feeling I haven’t seen since like… Inside. The perfect fog and ominous mess of cables, the humming of the towers… as completely eerie as it is, I can’t help a little part of me that wants to go stand in that field.
Oooooh, the LIGHTING, the SOUND DESIGN, that LIGHT BLOCK CREATURE IN THE FIELD- dude this was sooooo cool
The foggy cables were definitely giving me Inside vibes, plus the ominous humming. I’m always sold by distant lights and tall structures surrounded by fog 😂
This game seems like it will be wild, Adam Dubi has quite the artistic vision. This reminded me of Death Stranding but without the deliveryman layer. I hope the dev can complete the game the way they want to, this is a *lot* for any one person to make on their own, you can even see evidence of that in the afterword, where they mention it has been hard to keep it within a reasonable scope. I'm so impressed by Chordosis.

I like the atmosphere, but I feel like... somehow you sequence broke the game. Where was the church? It went from Church to bypassing a barricading wall, to leaving the town through the wall??? This looks like a vertical slice, a taster to entice more funding. Not a whole chapter, of a full game.
I think Gab just got turned around instead of going to the front of the church. It happens, and the monochrome/spooky atmosphere makes it hard to navigate sometimes. 😅
Hearing Icy's name sent me for a bit of a loop. So cool knowing some of my favorite creators watch... well.. another one of my favorite creators. Icy's cool.
I need so much more of this game and also of Gab playing it! It looks to be an epic premise and I hope they're able to pull through without too many issues with mechanics. But even with the slight issues, he's done an amazing job!
This is one of those games I can actually see myself playing and enjoying it. I’m not one for games as these but when it comes to inventory, aliens, chapters, even the great graphics, I’m all in! I’m definitely going to get me this myself and I know I’ll enjoy it once it’s complete! it’s absolutely stunning!

Thanks Gab for playing/showcasing such an amazing game, and Thank you creator for making it this insanely good. In my opinion pure atmospheric and/or psychological horrors are the best, and not many can make it work. It’s one thing to have an invulnerable boss that randomly scares you, and a whole other thing when the world feels isolating and unsafe.
This is one game that I will surely play.

This game was great! This deserves a replay to explore the whole game! I feel like I see some many influences in this game. Annihilation, René Magritte, Observation. (one of my favorite space games ever!)
Which parts were influenced by Magritte? Although I love art, I'm not familiar with his work.

Woahhh this is a really promising looking game, I absolutely love the atmosphere. Any horror game I see from a country where I haven’t seen many games set in is always cool to me, it’s a welcome break from certain environments and tropes that get reused a lot.
I can't wait to see the next episode of this game! It looks so good, but damn, I couldn't play it myself, its too spooky.

Chordosis looks like a very interesting video game. I’ve noticed a lot UA-camrs playing the Demo. So far it looks like Adam the Developer has a pretty solid idea for his video game. Hopefully the full video game will be available soon.

Gabbb, you should play Signalis. It’s a horror game that took inspiration from lovecraft, resident evil, silent hill, and it’s story is awesome.
I really hope the creator gets more funding and is able to do more with their amazing talent for making scary games this was awesome and I hope we can see more from them in the future 😊

There’s a part in the beginning where you drop off from the top of where you got gas. I think some sequence breaking happened because some cool weird scenes happen from atop the pit stop. So happy you played this though! Definitely a unique game!
