Okay, I'm just going to say it: Black Widows are clearly super soldiers, period. We've seen Romanov take out an entire security team bare handed, reacting faster than any of them could. She's survived fist fights with Winter Soldier and even got blown up on multiple occasions and walk it off. She was shot, TWICE, by the Winter Soldier and was still combat effective. Lets also not forget that she outran the Hulk on the Shield Carrier after getting knocked unconscious, blown up and falling down onto steel gratings. Do I have to mention the last 20 minutes of Black Widow? If she's not a super soldier, than I'm Mickey Mouse.
In the MCU I don’t think so. Just a big ol’shot of plot armour. After all her and Hawkeye fight and go head to head and yes she wins but she had superior training.

But yes in the MCU, the Hulk accident was part of government attempts to replicate the super-soldier serum. However Banner didn't have access to any serum and didn't use one. Banner's research involved trying to reproduce the Vita-Rays used alongside the serum in the original project. Banner believed gamma radiation could take their place- that's what he exposed himself to, and what resulted in the Hulk transformation. In contrast, Blonsky/Abomination got a dose of Ross' experimental serum that had to be injected directly into the bone marrow, followed by a dose of Banner's blood.

I think not overtly giving Natasha the super soldier was a good call for her character in the MCU. Her master manipulation, adaptive learning, and tactical skill all felt more naturally earned and portrayed. I’ll always love her fight with Bucky in Winter Soldier, because she knew her overall skill had no match to his sheer strength. Thus why she uses every trick in her book from a garrote wire to throwing her voice, because her abilities were engrained from programming, not empowered by a serum. They even notion to this in the Black Widow movie where Yelena explains to Natasha that they no longer used programming as their main form of indoctrination and training after Black Widow defected.
I’m interested if we will ever find out if MCU Nick Furry has ever gotten the infinity formula. While comics showed it as more like wolverine witch gave him extended longevity and a slightly better then normal healing rate. He definitely wasn’t super strong but already a skilled soldier and operative.
The part where it shows the other super soldiers fighting Bucky and they are beating the hell out of him and literally kicking him across the room but then as they start to fight and break out the guard grabs Bucky and tells him to get him out of there. Then you see them walking right through all of the fighting and when Bucky has to get past these soldiers that were just destroying him, he uses one arm to fight and make it through all of them with no problem.
I know this is just a list based on the MCU...but geez, I just dont know when Luke Cage will get his turn to shine. Hopefully it will happen soon. He would be a very interesting addition to this list for sure...Fingers crossed
Technically Netflix shows are MCU, especially post Loki. Awful omission. Cage is 3rd. Hulk first, Abomination 2, Luke 3. Guy took a rocket to the chest.
In the comics it isn't, they had approximately the same effect. Cap was slightly stronger due to his larger physical frame, while Panther was slightly quicker. But at the end of the day, they were physically neck and neck, too close to call. Both were peak human specimens. In the MCU things are a bit different- both Cap and Panther are legit superhuman in the movie universe, roughly 8X stronger than peak human level. In the MCU they are both capable of lifting a few tons.

Which means mythically all super-soldiers come from Africa… Just saying… 😉 I also forgot about ‘The Truth’ comic from the early 2000’s. I need to finish watching the F & WS series on Disney+.
Not in the movies, but in the comic books (so...canon!) there is a British version of super soldiers. 1) during the Falklands war a English marine car called up to take a version of the serum. He was also frozen for 20+ years. He was called 'The Super-Soldier'. Looked like a beefier Steve Rogers. Also there was others who were not 'frozen' and they suffered slight side effects (they looked like 7+ foot tall ogres. They were all from the same unit and were called 'The Welsh Guard'. They did retain their intelligence though. I believe their serum was based of Banners formula (like Abomination and the Leader) as the Welsh Guardsmen did have greenish skin.

If we're strictly talking about MCU films only, then shouldn't this list include Bruce Banner / Hulk? In Edward Norton's Incredible Hulk and the first Avengers movie we are told that Banner used gamma radiation to unlock Irskine's formula, essentially making him a Super Solder.

Nah, physically Killmonger is superior to T'Challa (without any enhancement). And more important, T'Challa's heart wasn't in the fight while Killmonger was highly motivated. T'Challa eventually defeated Killmonger because he fought smarter, not because of any physical advantage.
the ability to become black panther isn't due to the help of super serum.Bucky,captain America,red guaerdian etc.had d serum,they are all in the same group/category. I always assumed that the Red Guardian did fight Captain America just unbeknownst to him and most of the world it wasn’t Steve Rodgers but one of the guys that America tried to replace Steve with. And that’s why the Red Guardian says he fought him when Steve was frozen because as far as he’s concerned he did. It would also explain why he was able to go toe to toe with him despite not having the same level of strength as Steve because the replacement captain America also didn’t have the same level of strength as Steve.

The reasons the flag smashers didn't get all buff, is because they didn't get radiated vita-rays, vitamins with a boost of gamma radiation when they took the serum.
I think Shield and Hydra gave some ss serum to some of the Avengers and Hydra bad guys that could have been fine tuned to work in other ways on their bodies to enhance their natural abilities. Black Widow-remember the Avengers first movie when she grabbed that flying sled with one hand. No way you could do that without your arm getting dislocated or even ripped from the socket. Hawkeye-I don't care if he practiced with a bow and arrow from the time he was born 12 hours a day, some of his feats are superhuman.

I disagree with this top 15. All super soldiers pretty much have the same amount of strength there is no proof of any other wise. So if your going based on Power. Black Panther would be Number 1 simply because of his intelligence, military training, and technology as well as political power. Followed by Captain America, his hand to hand combat, military experience and Ranking of a Captain, Bucky Barnes has the most military experience that goes over a entire century, US Agent 4th, Killmonger 5th. and I could care less about the rest. The hulk guy doesnt even count. If your going to Rank super solders based on Pure Power then Steve Rodgers being the first Super Soldier isn't even a valid argument.

I'm surprised that they didn't tie the supersoldier serum to the blue/purple flower found in Wakanda. Howard Stark had vibranium, and importantly designed, built, and ran the machine in which Rogers was transformed. From there it is totally plausible to wonder what else from Wakanda did Stark know about? It just feels like a nice neat way to tie them together since the abilities gained through them is so similar.

If we're strictly talking about MCU films only, then shouldn't this list include Bruce Banner / Hulk? In Edward Norton's Incredible Hulk and the first Avengers movie we are told that Banner used gamma radiation to unlock Irskine's formula, essentially making him a Super Solder.

Nah, physically Killmonger is superior to T'Challa (without any enhancement). And more important, T'Challa's heart wasn't in the fight while Killmonger was highly motivated. T'Challa eventually defeated Killmonger because he fought smarter, not because of any physical advantage.
the ability to become black panther isn't due to the help of super serum.Bucky,captain America,red guaerdian etc.had d serum,they are all in the same group/category. But you see t'challa,kill monger and t'chaka are in a different category cause of how they got there powers,which is different from the way super soldier get there.So I don't think these two group should be put in the same category of powers at all

I always assumed that the Red Guardian did fight Captain America just unbeknownst to him and most of the world it wasn’t Steve Rodgers but one of the guys that America tried to replace Steve with. And that’s why the Red Guardian says he fought him when Steve was frozen because as far as he’s concerned he did. It would also explain why he was able to go toe to toe with him despite not having the same level of strength as Steve because the replacement captain America also didn’t have the same level of strength as Steve.

The reasons the flag smashers didn't get all buff, is because they didn't get radiated vita-rays, vitamins with a boost of gamma radiation when they took the serum.
I think Shield and Hydra gave some ss serum to some of the Avengers and Hydra bad guys that could have been fine tuned to work in other ways on their bodies to enhance their natural abilities. Black Widow-remember the Avengers first movie when she grabbed that flying sled with one hand. No way you could do that without your arm getting dislocated or even ripped from the socket. Hawkeye-I don't care if he practiced with a bow and arrow from the time he was born 12 hours a day, some of his feats are superhuman.

Because Extremis is a different approach to enhancing humans, it's unrelated to the super-soldier serum.

I disagree with this top 15. All super soldiers pretty much have the same amount of strength there is no proof of any other wise. So if your going based on Power. Black Panther would be Number 1 simply because of his intelligence, military training, and technology as well as political power. Followed by Captain America, his hand to hand combat, military experience and Ranking of a Captain, Bucky Barnes has the most military experience that goes over a entire century, US Agent 4th, Killmonger 5th. and I could care less about the rest. The hulk guy doesnt even count. If your going to Rank super solders based on Pure Power then Steve Rodgers being the first Super Soldier isn't even a valid argument.
1. Killmonger: He was already a special operations soldier before getting the heart shaped herb, plus the Black Panther suit has Vibranium which increases kinetic output
2. Black Panther: Experienced warrior, plus heart shaped herb, plus his suit
3. US Agent: The same as Killmonger, just without the suit
4. Winter Soldier: Experienced soldier and assassin
5. Whoever
Technically the strongest super soldier serum was created by Howard Stark and stolen by the Winter Soldier

I'm surprised that they didn't tie the supersoldier serum to the blue/purple flower found in Wakanda. Howard Stark had vibranium, and importantly designed, built, and ran the machine in which Rogers was transformed. From there it is totally plausible to wonder what else from Wakanda did Stark know about? It just feels like a nice neat way to tie them together since the abilities gained through them is so similar.
