Clare O'Brien some farmer use poison to deal with rodents. It sickens me :(. Just let some feral cats become your barn cats. Home for feral kitty, rodent control and poison won't be used to kill wildlife. Win-win situation

I had a feeling it was that, i keeo having a go at a neighbour for putting slug pwlkwts and rat poison down, we have lots of mice where I live so probably rears as well, however between a few of my neighbours and I we ha e lots of cats, which helps keep the population down (even though I have no problem personally with the furry little critters, Ive saved a faor few from the clutches of my cats) however, back to the point, it's nit just the rats and mice that get killed, it's the fox's, hedgehogs, bat's and our cars that end up getting poorly or even dying, which is really sad, not seen any birds of prey around here but we are kit too far from feilds and trees.
I just wish they would ban the use of all poison stuff and pesticides 😢😢😢😢

Robert Fuller is an amazing man. When I retired, my retirement present from my department included one of his pictures of a barn owl. It hangs at the top of my stairs and is magnificent. A visit to his gallery in Thixendale is a must, but I suspect you will leave with considerably lighter pockets as it's hard to resist buying his artwork.
I know Jean Thorpe at Ryedale Rehabilitation as I've taken several animals and birds to her. She's done an amazing job in getting some beautiful birds back into the wild.
    Heroes, both of them.

3 years ago, a week after I lost my dog, I found 4 tiny cotton balls at the base of a tree in my yard. Those cotton balls turned out to be kestrel chicks. Two of them were still alive, and we put them in a small open box and up on a rock. Sometime later, their mother came home, saw them, and continued to take care of them. 3 day later, she vanished. We made the decision to take them to a wildlife center. I never found out what happened to them, but I hope they grew up and were set free and had their own cotton ball children.
