AAAHHHH! Laura, it is so funny how things happen. I give all the credit to God. Some people may say it’s the universe, but whatever you may think this is definitely one of those things. I had just finished watching your video and two houses down a Neighbor had had a yard sale. I was walking down to our mailboxes and I stopped to chat with her as she was still cleaning up to ask how she did. She said she did really well, but had some jewelry left that she was going to donate. She had already boxed up most of it but there were about 20 pieces still on the table. She said nobody had been interested in the brass jewelry and she had a lot of that left and if there’s anything laying here that you like, just take it . I started looking at it and saw some brass brutalist pieces which is one of my faves I chose 7 pieces. I was just picking what I liked I did not think to look for signatures . When I got home I was untangling a necklace and a bracelet and just about fell out of my chair when I saw Carl Tasha on the back of the turtle pendant on the necklace ! Then I checked the bracelet. AGAIN CARL TASHA!!! I checked the other 5 pieces and found 2 more CT pieces🤯!! I walked back down to my neighbors house and showed her the value of these pieces and what she could sell them for online and tried to give them back to her. she asked me if I was going to keep them or sell them and I said I chose those particular pieces because I had never seen anything quite like them and loved all of the 7 of them but could not keep the signed Tasha pieces. She said of course you can “they are your found treasure and they found their way to their forever home”🥹 I kept trying to give her money and she absolutely refused. I loved them before I ever saw the signature so the fact that they are by a known designer is just icing on the cake. I am going to help her go through the things that she already boxed up to look for signatures, and to help her sell them . I wanted to share this with you and thank you for your videos I have commented before how much I have learned from your channel, and how much I have been able to do with money I have made from recognizing and then selling things that your videos taught me about. I don’t know how to say thank you enough, but just know you have impacted mine and my families life in such an amazing way.😢
Sooo fun! That wood jewelry box was incredible for only $35!!! That’s cheaper than the mass produced ones that size on Amazon! The wood and design was beautiful 😍
That look like an awesome place rummage around. Jesse’s light was really cool, that will great smart once done and with a bulb in. Also really liked the silver fish broach thingy.
I found your channel less than two weeks ago and only have 10 videos left to watch on the entire channel lol!!! EVERY SINGLE second I have to spare I’m watching a video. Your energy is infectious and can tell you have a beautiful soul. I live in Iowa but my daughter moved to Eugene to go to college at the U of O this past fall. I have been hoping to find a video of some good thrift stores in Eugene. If anyone has any recommendations please let me know ❤️😘your videos bring me pure joy! Keep up the amazing work 😊
Laura, you need to record that music in an old card recorder or something ... you know, that plays when you open it! Then, when someone peeks in ... "doodoodudoo..."
My vintage/antique seller friend was pulling out stuff to sell and I spotted one of those ice buckets. ( I had owned one ages ago but donated to a thrift) I commented on the bucket not mentioning how they always pop up in Laura's videos. My friend told me how valuable they are and hard to find. I just chuckled. 😄
I found a set of 8 tall fostoria glamour green goblets glasses and 8 short ones.. vintage and in perfect condition! $1.50 each… from Chandler, Arizona ❤️
New Port Richey Florida I found a wonderful handmade Victorian Sideboard that is Child Sized. It has all the Gingerbread and Beveled Mirrors. I now search for more marvelous quality Child Sized Tea Sets and Dishes of the same era.
I love watching you shop! Sometimes I see something that I grew up with, like the wooden fruit in this video. Or I see something that Grandma had. Or I see something I wish I had! I enjoy watching you a LOT!
I literally found a large bitossi vase in perfect condition today thrifting for $10 I found it in Salt Lake City UT. I literally thought to myself Laura would be proud 😂
It' not a new find, but it finally has a home in my new house in North Carolina. Over the fireplace in my bedroom! It is a HUGE Don Friedman textile piece. It is round. At least 4 or 5 feet across. Signed and with the button. It is a tall woman all in grey (the color of the walls in my new room!) she is standing in front of a palm tree with a large full moon behind her and two clouds on the side. And she hs pearls! Yes pearls. A strand of pearls around her hair and a second strand in her hand that she is like holding up in the moonlight. I bought it over a year ago for 16 dollars, but i had no place to put it in my NY house. Having a fireplace in my bedroom - with 10 foot ceilings made it the first thing I hung up - well actually she leans - although the piece has the metal structure to hang it. And it is heavy. But I can't find anything like it anywhere. I have seen several of his round pieces online - mostly birds, I even saw a photo of the back of one of them and the structure is identical. But I cannot find a single piece of his work with this woman I call the "Mystery Woman". Has anyone ever seen one of these? Hit me up with an e mail addy and I can send pics. She looks down on me when I sleep in my en suite bedroom - with a HUGE bathroom too! I think of her as a jewel thief. My vision is that she was at a party at someone's fancy tropical home and she snuck out of the party and stole the pearls from the bedroom. Now, she is standing in the moonlight holding her treasures. Due to a delay and a mover who quit leaving half of my belongings behind, I am finally getting my stuff tomorrow morning and I cannot wait to pull out some of the treasures I have collected and never used and style up that fireplace with MCM goodness,
What do I rave about first?? The phoenix necklace is just beyond. Now I’m searching. My next tattoo is a phoenix. I’m going out BIG! 😆 The rolling bag ppl need to sponsor y’all for sure!! I get so jazzed when I see you post a new video. ♥️
I love Brutalist art work. You have an uncanny knack for finding them. I would check out the painting carefully. It is not to my taste but shows excellent bones...so to speak. I look forward to your next adventures.
So glad Mr.Jesse can now find his way Out of the house...more slotted spoons await out there!❤That Exit sign would look great in the tiki bar/man cave!
I found a beautiful Czech glass deco necklace with green chrysoprase at the Larkin Antique pop-up in Hillsboro. I also found a couple nice African masks and a Kvalheim pottery vase at a GW in Beaverton.
Like your husband, I’m a huge fan of “The Great Wave” as well. Did you know there is Lego art of it? I bought it when it dropped last year. I have never put anything together Lego wise but it came out beautifully! It sits up against my fireplace I don’t use because I live in Florida!😂
OMG y’all found the most fabulous items. I loved all the jewelry it was fantastic!! I love brutalist style. Anything weird ( to an extent) is fascinating to me!! You and Jessie do good together! Love your videos!!!🤗
My most recent thrift adventure garnered a midcentury necktie, a silk dress, and a see-thru top I can't wait to wear over tank tops this summer. My most recent vintage adventure had me going home with 3 pairs of vintage earrings and 3 vintage brooches. I am in the market for a couple pieces of second hand furniture - all in good time. Y'all got some cool stuff. I would love a Thriftapalooza adventure!
Wow! I love, love, love the Norwegian bronze necklace. What a fabulous piece! Also love the necklace stand. It looks amazing with the colored stone necklaces on it. I've seen Andi's and Abigail's vlogs of Thiftpalouza so was really looking forward to seeing yours and what beautiful things you picked up. My favourite recent find was a cloisonne bowl with lid from auction. It's already on display in my living room. Welcome back!
Another great video Laura. Hope the Japan trip is going well. In an Op (charity) Shop in Brisbane last week I found an amazing vintage 20 piece Japanese eggshell porcelain tea set. It has a brown and gold geometric pattern on the rim and a lithophane of a geisha in the bottom of the cups. It was in perfect condition and cost A$23 (about US$15). It was made for the western market which explains why I never saw one at the Oi Keiba-jo flea market.
Ahhh... That jewelry box in the beginning was so pretty. I've just decided in the last week that i need one, and I hope I come across something like that soon. 😊 Fun video, as usual! The ice bucket was a sweet gift.
Hi Laura and Jessie you two are so good together. I know it is hard work sometimes but i know you are having the time of your life. Do all you can do way you are young. Great haul as always See you next time
Hope to see you at the Puyallup one again this year! My mom and I will have a booth again. I hope this year is better, the last one felt a bit lame but I made some money and came home with some good stuff!
I miss Oregon (home) thrifting so much, I found a pair of red slacks from Nord orginally $120 for $5 in Cali last week. And a fenton poppies frame for $3
Hahaha...I recognized the jewelry table. The vendor comes all the way to Cupertino (bay area) CA the first Saturday of the month. We have a fabulous flea mkt at our Junior College. She ALWAYS has great stuff. Small World!
I've never seen it in person here in SC. I wonder if it is the same Myrtle species that Myrtle Beach is named after? Laura has made me fall in love with it, so I'd love to find some in the wild (ie. thrifting)!
I came across your channel and have binge watched my way through quite a few episodes! Learning so much from you and love your positive outlook on EVERYTHING! You are a beautiful soul!
Hi Laura. I am a Mid Century Vintage Lover like you. I was born in 1956 so I grew up with it and still love it. Even so I have learned quite a bit about MCM from you. When I started collecting it was so much easier to find. I stupidly sold all my street scene paintings and can no longer find them anywhere. Anyway a question for you, MCM has been popular among young people for a while now, I suspect that may be fading a little. What will you be looking for when MCM no longer sells? Your opinion would be appreciated!!

Love that brutalist necklace holder - it’s amazing! Best find in the last week for me was a green Viking glass bird in Charleston SC while visiting my friend, and I managed to get it all the way back to WA without breaking the tail! Whew! 😮💨
Found a Morgantown Mcm walnut China cabinet @ habitat for humanity $60 that’s with the store wide discount of 15% plus the color gray price tag add’l 25% off. It’s beautiful
Laura, when was this market? I'm asking because when i looked up ThriftaPalooza it list the next show to be June 8 &9. Looks like fun & the sterling jewelry 😮🎉🎉. Wish we had one like this in Texas. Hugs from Texas 💖🦋🤗
I found a silver dish hallmarked SWS & Co. Birmingham 1909. It is so pretty but I am desperate to know more about it! My google searches haven't found anything like it and it looks to have a George iii shilling stamped into the centre.
Here’s the link to the Hulkin Shopping bag! 😍 bit.ly/Hulken

What a great story! Thank you for sharing! 😊
Wow!
Love this so much! I also love brutalist jewelry, and I'm not even really a jewelry person. The brutalists rings are my favorite.
That's like a Paul Harvey story! I love it!
I think that copper figure is George Washington kneeling down to pray before fighting the British.
Sooo fun! That wood jewelry box was incredible for only $35!!! That’s cheaper than the mass produced ones that size on Amazon! The wood and design was beautiful 😍
We bought the puzzle bottle and goblet $15.00 at Thrift A Palooza on Saturday. We can now say it was touched by Laura Caldwell...❤
That's so cool! I would feel the same way about it being touched by Laura! What a great price too!
Laura, I LOVE the moody boat & buildings painting! And how excited Jesse got over his EXIT sign!
I'm in purging mode, so I live vicariously through you!
Me too. Purge mode Marie kwan style😂🎉
I so hear this......me to.....but sometimes I still buy stuff, lol
The black and white painting is everything ❤❤❤❤
I would have bought that wooden jewelry box. Even if the price was too high for a resale, you could put all the jewelry you bought in it.
Me too; I super loved the design-I am shocked she didn’t purchase-even for just her own use!
I loved that box and thought the price was amazing.
Or Etsy or basically any where!
Y’all are the cutest couple… love how you two laugh together… Jesse is hilarious 😂
I have my morning coffee and am ready to start my Saturday with Laura and Jesse, yayyy ❤
I love that rolling bag.
I found an angel Lladro last week at GW in Central Calif. It was in a bag with a W Germany tea strainer. Only $4.79 for both.
That F. Charad painting is a very expensive painting! Famous Artist for the Antiques Roadshow!😮
I thought they said M. Girard?
That look like an awesome place rummage around. Jesse’s light was really cool, that will great smart once done and with a bulb in. Also really liked the silver fish broach thingy.

Your necklace holder is the sun and the moon (the base). Very cool.
I didn't even realize the base was the moon!! Loved it.
I would have totally gotten the sushi and mushroom shirts😃
lol, me too!😂
lol! Well now there’s gonna be shortage of penguin ice buckets because everybody’s gonna be wanting to bedazzle them 😂😂😂
Yessss!!

I love watching you shop! Sometimes I see something that I grew up with, like the wooden fruit in this video. Or I see something that Grandma had. Or I see something I wish I had! I enjoy watching you a LOT!
What a haul! Have you done a video of how you clean your jewelry, pair pendants with chains, shine up wood or before/afters of reframing art?
I would like a video like that as well.
Hey googled. LM sculpture and it came back with L M Fluente. maybe ?
Yay! Great lightweight rolling treasure bag; so happy to go shopping with you! Sharpens my Eye, its like shopping practice! Thank You!
I love that Scottish Thistle shortbread mold! I’ll be shopping your first Friday sale!
I’ll have it up for grabs in the May sale! I’m going to use it for shortbread once first 😄
What fun.... Love the brutalist pieces. And I too love my Hulken Bag!

I love the sculpture. It looks like someone praying at the Wailing Wall in Jerusalem .So maybe a Jewish artist?
I thought the same thing~
I thought the same thing too.
Or maybe a school project.
That's the first thing that came to my mind😮🦋🌻🐝
I don't think so. Jewish people don't kneel.
What do I rave about first?? The phoenix necklace is just beyond. Now I’m searching. My next tattoo is a phoenix. I’m going out BIG! 😆 The rolling bag ppl need to sponsor y’all for sure!! I get so jazzed when I see you post a new video. ♥️

That's a great find the slotted spoon with bakelite handle. This means he is a man
He is a man of integrity he has his slotted spoon and now we'll see more of his type of things he likes, solid items for everyday items. What a man!
That jewelry box at the beginning was a score!

It’s not actually a painting but a woodblock print. I love it too.
Please share the exit sign when Jesse finishes it. Both of ya'll are so clever and fun to watch. 😃

Always happy for a new Laura vid! Hope Japan was fabulous!!!
Headed to a cafe in Kyoto to eat matcha pancakes right now 😄 We’re having the best trip!!!
The bronze sculpture reminds me of Salvador Dali Wailing Wall
I bought a lot of that Russian paper mashay in East Berlin in 1986 before the wall came down.
Painting is gorgeous ❤ love shopping when Jessie tags along. I was sure you would buy the hat. Another great video
I think the wooden thistle item is a shortbread mould. I have a smaller version of it
O always enjoy when you show us how you style your finds! Inspirational.
I'm so jealous over the Exit glass globe. It would be perfect in our basement. LOL Good find, Jessie!😊🖤
BOMB SHELTER! You'll very likely forget how to get outta there after ya been there awhile!
I live in a 1964 apartment building and we have the red versions of the exit globes in our basement hallway.
Wow! I love, love, love the Norwegian bronze necklace. What a fabulous piece! Also love the necklace stand. It looks amazing with the colored stone necklaces on it. Welcome back!
Love the necklace holder. It looks like a tree.
Love watching. Learning more from you. It's always nice to see Jesse with you. The 2 of you are so cute together. Love that you support one another 😊
Another great video Laura.

I love that rolling bag!
Laura, I love the brutalist necklace hanger too. Thank you for the new asymmetrical perspective. Susie
I spent a few months in Eugene and fell in love with myrtle wood. I go gaga now when I run across a piece here in Northwest Arkansas 😊
I found a piece here in FL and felt so lucky. We don't see much Oregon myrtlewood down here. It's so lovely!
I've never seen it in person here in SC. I wonder if it is the same Myrtle species that Myrtle Beach is named after?
Laura has made me fall in love with it, so I'd love to find some in the wild (ie. thrifting)!
Loved it all!
Awesome necklace 😍 🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ jewelry ✨️ holder 👌
I love the flower blouse you are wearing in the car! Is it vintage?
I love this show!
You picked up some cool things, did you end up buying the first box? That was beautiful
Interesting jewelery but nothing I would wear. You got some amazing deals too.

The bronze kneeler looked Portuguese to me. Or, maybe Spanish? That's all I've got!
I would hand sketch the marking/signature and post it on here and the other sites (yours and etc.). It was so difficult to see.
Then, maybe a lens search of your sketch will even bring up something?
Good luck. It is an outstanding piece!
These things, Crystal, may be made now and they say they are old
Love that brutalist necklace holder - it’s amazing! Best find in the last week for me was a green Viking glass bird in Charleston SC while visiting my friend, and I managed to get it all the way back to WA without breaking the tail! Whew! 😮💨
I’m so excited for Jesse 😂 he has been wanting some exit/light sign for a while now!!
The Exit peace looks like an Urn to me. Think about how clever that would be 😊
Simply amazing finds !!!❤🦘
That jewelry box was exactly what I was looking for. I gasped when you showed it
Thanks for taking us along. Can you give the link to the rolling bag? I didn't see it listed in the description.

Tall, only paid $4!
Adorable little Alaskan baskets! Your lady is lucky Jessie 😊
What HAUL Laura, And, I love the painting too!
I found a silver dish hallmarked SWS & Co. Birmingham 1909. It is so pretty but I am desperate to know more about it! My google searches haven't found anything like it and it looks to have a George iii shilling stamped into the centre.
Jesse, I think the light would be great in your wine room. I think you were getting to do that room independently.
That picture is great and so is the exit sign 😂
You two are the perfect couple ❤😂🎉
