Be careful Sara, 22 is a gateway caliber.
She's already hooked! Lol!
😂
After watching this and several other videos, I decided to get a PPQ 22. First impression and first time at the range tells me that I made the right choice.
I like the full size feel and balance. The gun shot flawless using several mixed brands of 22 shells. The only exception was one round that didn't fire and did fire on the second try. That round was a Winchester Super X round, which I read is not very good for any semi auto 22. My only complain is the small front sight which is hard to see. I may change the sight out with fiber optic. I would suggest this pistol to anyone looking for a fun and reliable 22.
You can’t go wrong with a Walther. Great ergonomics and generally excellent triggers. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks FarWalker! Always appreciated
Perfect timing on the review- I wanted to upgrade my 22 now I know which one to buy -
I tried my wife's PPQ 22 and totally loved it.Went out and got one for myself. I also have a Walther PPS 2 Nine mil. It is my concealed carry favorite. Walther has some great handguns.
Can't go wrong with Walther! Thanks Jerry!
I have had mine a few weeks it sure shoots great allot of fun
@@dennissowell472 I wouldn't sell my 9 mil. For 800.00$ because I'd be afraid I wouldn't able to replace it. I guess you can tell, I really love my Walthers.
I'm going to pick one of these up soon. My EDC is a 4" PPQ 9.
Which holster worked best for your PPS M2? I'm looking at the Urban Carry Hybrid or the Vedder pocket holster.
Fantastic review your videos have helped my decisions on most of my guns 👍
I watched this review some time ago,..today, I watched again, and called my dealer for him to order one. The gun I ordered has the fiber front sight and is in flat dark earth....looks
good to me!
See SOOTCH you made me buy another one! LOL,.(yeah like he had to twist my arm!)
Fun seeing your daughter Sara Mac on here with her Dad. Love shooting with my girls too!
Got one.love it.sweetest trigger youlle ever find on a 22.
Another AWESOME review Sootch!
It’s Great! Im from spain and I recently got my license, so this walther PPQ 22lr will be my first gun!
When I get more experience I will buu the 9mm one 🙂💪
Thank you for the review. I have decided to make this the weapon I have at home. My EDC is Glock43.
Got to get one for my PPQ 9mm. I love my PPQ 9mm! Excellent ergonomics and shoots very accurate!
I must have one of these. I have the ppq in 9mm. Love it, but the 22 would be my go to for training because its cheap to shoot.
I got the P22QD. After my wife shot it we went out and got her one. Awesome little pistols. Light and highly accurate even one handed (both strong and weak) for a smaller guy like me.
I love mine. Put the thread adapter on for my Sparrow & it's awesome
Excellent review, thank you. I purchased one three months ago from Bud's gun Shop (they threw in am extra mag too!). I love this Walther and it shoots so smooth & is spot on accurate. For me it's a nail tacker. As well I love the full size and especially the hand grip. I have a Glock 43X also but I have a lot more fun shooting this Walter. I buy all different kinds of 22 LR ammo and this pistol eats everything no problem. I had a Ruger SR22 and love the Walther much more. It feels like quality it looks like quality and it shoots like quality. The fun factor alone for me is well worth it. I practice lots of tactical drills in the woods on steel targets of all different sizes and heights. would also sold me was dealing with a solid company that is very professional and has fast turnaround if you ever have a problem.
Thank you for the videos you do!
I love hearing the birds and seeing the OFF! on the ledge. Be of good courage!
I have this one, it has spoiled me so bad. I absolutely love shooting it! I also have the 9mm, but this is my favorite! 💚 Great review!
Nice review! I’m trying to decide which Walther .22 pistol I want and this is valuable info well presented! Thank you!
I stumbled across this video because I was researching my options when it came to getting my first .22lr pistol. While your channel and Hickok45 are my top two favorite channels on UA-cam, it is always nice to see new faces show up to exercise their 2nd Amendment rights. I especially like father and daughter videos because it means one less woman will be a "victim." Good job, sir, for encouraging your daughter to go shooting with you!
Keep up the good work, hope more people can see your videos
Thanks M!
I have never felt such a comfortable feel and fit than that of the PPQ 22lr
Awesome gun. I love walter guns especial the p99. Good video.
Thanks Brother!
@@sootch00 you're welcome keep bringing awesome reviews like always 👍🏻
Another great review sootch00
Love the ppq! I have the 9mm ppq and love it so accurate!
I enjoy your video format. Keep up the excellent reviews.
I have the PPQ M2 9MM , PPQ 22 and a PPS M2 LE 9MM with a GVN tactical grip that closely approximates the feel of the PPQ's. Couldn't be more pleased!
LOVE Gunbuyer, I bought my 1st AR15 (S&W M&P Sport 2), from them!
awesome review ...just what my wife needs to be introduced to shooting.. thanks again! great work !!
Thanks Brother!
Great video as always. God bless!
Awesome gun, great videos!
I picked up a P22 a while back (for the smaller hands in the family) and I am still looking forward to adding a PPQ option someday. I must say that I'm a little surprised that the PPQ 22 doesn't have a captive recoil spring, like the P22 does, but I'm not questioning Walther. They know they're products better than I do. xD
Thank you for the data, Sootch!
Thanks Sheppard! The P22 is one of my favorite 22 pistols but the PPQ is a sweet shooter.
I have been a huge fan of mr. Carl Walters fine pieces of handgun for a very long time. Great review of the PPQ 22. If I didn't already own one I'd want one. Heck now I want another one.
Lol! Thanks Larry!
Thank you for the video I like and love this gun👏👍✌
Thorough, informative review. Thanks!
great video review thanks 😎👍
What monstrous recoil.....😝 nice vid Sootch.
I love mine, and it's awesome with my Odessa-9 on it.
This is the first of your videos I have seen in a while! youtube stopped sending me them. It is good to be back.
Thanks for stopping by!
Thx for another great video Scootch
Good review!!
Absolutely love my PPQ. love all walther products
Love my Walthers. Could you review the Extar carbine? Thanks.
Great video and looks like a great gun. But I noticed that it is very similar to my M&P22 full size. The magazine appears to be the same, same for the sights, the takedown procedure, the barrel and internal parts. But since S&W owns Walther I guess it makes sense, and it’s a good system so makes sense that they’d just put it in the PPQ frame and let it work.
Sootch00...... Thank you for the video on this 22. My daughter and I were looking at this online and she is excited about getting one. This would be her first gun.😎😎 Can't wait for her to get so that we can go to the range together. Our goal is get her comfortable shooting so that we will shoot one of my 9mm.
Great review
Is it easy to clean that messy 22's ammo? I do love the way it handled in your video.whoops living in Maryland we can't have that large capacity magazine sold in the state.
Got one of these about 3 months ago absolutely flawless with everything I put through it , mostly use cci blazer or federal bulk pack at the range NITSA (northern ireland target sports association) absolutely love it
Nice looking pistol. Thanks Sootch :)
Thanks as always Ken!
Damn! Sarah Mac shooting like a pro. Keep up the good work.
Thanks Rick!
Great video Don, keep up the good work!
Great video sootch. I highly recommend that you look into the new Beretta M9-22 or even the new .22 caliber conversion kit for the 92 series. 15 round magazines, reliable as can be, and even takes apart just like the real deal unlike most conversions/replicas that makes you do the lifting up action like a walther PPK.
Your daughter's smile speaks volumes about how much fun she had shooting with Dad.
Thanks Tim! Nothing I like better.
Thanks for your review, I already have ppq 45acp now yesterday ordered ppq m2 22lr and ppqm2 sc both from gun buyer. Question should I shoot both of the aguila ammo u shot or somethi g else, thanks zgain I watch all your great vids
Ackid nj
I love my ppq I might have to get one
Fun pistol. The PPQ to own, imo. Must get one.
As the "equipment officer" stated in "Dr No" (1962) - "Delivery like a brick through a plate glass window" - the PPQ 22 looks like the more advanced version of the seven or eight shot PPK.
With a 10 to 12 shot capacity, the PPQ 22 looks like an ideal support/back up, (possibly) the main sidearm for police officers, I'd imagine that military personnel have it as the latter, rather than the main one due to the capacity.
Either way, it's a good package - I certainly wouldn't mind owning one.
Yes Walther is popular with Walter 😂. Great video.
I like a smaller 22lr pistol, guess that’s why I love my Ruger Sr22!
Just wish it had the paddle style mag release. Good vid - thanks.
Thanks Rep! Yes, I love the Paddle mag release as well.
rep hh
Great video and info. Does this handgun fire a round in the chamber without the magazine in it? Thanks
The 22 should fit my ppq holster correct? Great review.
Great review and I am looking for a 22LR Pistol and I love Walthers guns and have four Walthers and this will be my choice. Thank you James A
Glock needs to make a conversion upper for the Glock 43. Pass that along sootch.
I love this lil plinker
Awww that revolver grip with the thumbs kills me.
Good for beginners lol P22, also good for Mossad, US Special Forces, Navy Seals, Marine Recon and many other too. I love mine, wouldn't trade it for any other...
I have exactly like this one. Can it be used as a service weapon?far as Security officer goes?
Solid Review!!!😀
Thanks Alfred!
Nice...I have a Ruger SR 22 for my wife. May have to look into this Walther
Looks well built! Gotta love German engineering! Great video as usual!
Thanks Brother!
I bought one of these, manufactured in Germany by Walther before they turned production over to Umarex in the US. The rails cracked and broke after the second time I used it. Their customer service was terrible, taking over a month and a half from the time they received it to get it repaired (despite their 48 hours til replacement or repair promise). They told me their gunsmiths aren't familiar with the PPQ22 and were hesitant to try to work on it. That was after it took them 2 weeks to get the parts, then another 2 weeks where they lost my paperwork and didn't know whose gun it was.
I loved it when it worked, but since then I've soured on both the PPQ 22 (I sold it shortly after getting it back, it was very finicky and had a hard time making it through a magazine when clean and running good ammo) as well as Walther as a company. Unfortunately, I don't think I'll be purchasing another new manufactured Walther.
I have the tac version love it can u dry fire it I wasnt shure
great video do a review on the ruger american pistol full size in 9mm
Thanks Mary! I'm working on the Ruger Security 9 review now but hope to get an American soon.
I like it!
Picked up one same time as my PPQ M2 9mm. Enjoyed shooting it, till the roll pin in the slide kept backing out and jamming up the works. As I checked into this, it seems Walther was well aware of the issue but choose to do nothing about it till it effected someone. Then a different size roll pin was supplied. I understand things happen, but when you know and choose to ignore, that isn't right. I traded it in (with $$) for a Ruger Mk IV target. Most likely the 9 will be going as it has lost it's luster for me. Yes, it was fun to shoot (when it didn't jam up), the trigger was great.....has all the makings of a fine plinker but for the cost of a roll pin.
Me gustan tus vídeos amigo ,Ojalá hicieras uno en español...
I love my ppq!!!!
Any firearm made in Germany or the US is going to be top shelf.
*A king and queen doing their damn thing, god bless and god speed*
could you test Taurus Th 40? we only have this company in Brazil (imbel is from state)
Can't beat a PPQ but with the low price of 9mm these days vs. the price of CCI mini mags I choose 9mm.
Mine came w ONLY one magazine. Wonder if someone stole the other.... Worked fine for like 1000rds then started having some issues.... I still like it. Ohh and mine doesn't have a 3.5lb trigger....feels more like 6. Nothing like the PPQ9mm. Buy mine is like 3 yrs old.....maybe they improved the guns.....who knows.
So this gun already comes able to mount a silencer or would need to purchase an attachment for it. ?
Will you ever do reviews of any nfa items?
Neat gun
PPQs are great range toys. Can't say either of mine (9mm and 45) are reliable enough for carry, but I'll probably get this one too. Because they are great range toys.
What kind of issues do you have? I've owned 2 PPQ's and a P99 and I don't recall any issues with any of them, aside from inadvertently actuating the slide catch with my thumb. My own fault though. The P22 is picky on ammo but aside from that... no problems.
Failures to eject, mostly. I took my PPQ 45 through a 600 round pistol class. Everyone else had Glocks, except me and a guy trying to run a 1911 Commander. Me and the 1911 guy were the only ones having malfunctions.
Also the PPQ 9mm has locked up hard on several occasions with cheap 9mm ammo. Locked up so tight I and the RO had to hammer the slide back to unlock it.
Love shooting the pistols but that's 2 out of 2 guns that have had functional flaws. Too high a risk for a carry gun.
I will probably buy the PPQ 22 for a range toy though.
@@MarkAndrewEdwards interesting. They weren't by chance reloads were they?
No, Sellier and Bellot for the failures to eject, TulaMaxx was the cheap 9mm ammo that caused the hard slide lockup. S&B is good ammo, so I don't think that's the failure point on the FTE.
@@MarkAndrewEdwards Yea I wouldn't think so either. The Tula isn't surprising. Still unfortunate though. Don't think I ever ran steel through mine but never heard of them having an issue with steel cased. Puzzling!
That’s awesome your daughter is shooting guns with you. I have a 2 year old daughter and cant wait til she is old enough to go shooting.
Thanks Jon, Teaching your children to shoot is priceless.
That's awesome that Sara came out to the range with you again. That Walther fits her really well and she is a dead eye with it. I would definitely pick this Walther PPQ 22 as another 22 handgun to my collection. Long live the republic Sootch00 and Sara .
Thank you for the review, very helpful for me to introduce it to my wife, so she may feel more comfortable.
Be well
The barrell is kind of thin. Do you think that could be a problem down the road? If you shoot it a lot. Thank you for the video
What ammo do you prefer? Are stingers ok for this gun? Or are minimags better?
Very nice...😎
Nice to mention it only reliably cycles CCI Mini-Mags. Everything else fails to extract.
Mine works like a beast haha love this handgun 💯🇺🇸🇲🇽🤠🚀🔥
lovely
Can the p22 mags be used in the ppq 22?
Interesting review, thanks! What about a comparison of M&P 22 compact and the PPQ 22? Different in size of course but what about accuracy, reliability and quality? Who is actually the manufacturer, Walther or Umarex?
The PPQ 22 is made by Walther from the markings on the frame. I love the M&P 22C and itwould make an interesting comparison. I'd also like to check out the full size M&P 22. We'll see what we can do. hanks Schai!
@@sootch00 Thanks for the great and quick reply!
i got the walther p22 5 in. target. can you take off the end piece and change barrel, to be a 4 in. make it look like yours??? are you able to do this/can this be done??
