- Here is the one I have found to be the one I use the most. I have picked up a second one just incase I can't find the first one.
Small Square

Don't confuse this with the small square. This one is easier to keep in your pocket and has many uses.
Mini Small Square

This is my favorite tool of the group. I do not need it as often, but when I do, it works better than any other option.

Recap by Tammy AI
Brilliant use of the square fence.
I think so.
That tool for the large square would be useful pipefitting building short spools
That is definitely a handy attachment. I went and bought a couple of nice aluminum framing squares to use with it.
@ShopRamblings I don't have any aluminum ones but I do have a couple stainless ones but they are pipefitter squares. I use them on wood quite a lot
@robertoo633 That is the type that I had also. The aluminum ones I bought are square corners, whereas my stainless steel ones, the edges, are more rounded.
I made my own carpenter square bracket out of walnut and included a 45 angle
That was smart.
I can also see using that framing square attachment with two straight rules to get precise inside cabinet dimensions.
I have not thought of that, but I won't forget it. Thanks
Thanks, need a new small square, been looking at options, and you upload this lol, like what AI have you do this haha, just playing and I just ordered this...did you upload a vid on that wing for your router? It looks great, and love the inlays on that.
What would have taken a day, I spent a month recording hours of video building my table saw. I had not gotten around to editing it yet. With 30 hours of video, it would take a couple of days. Then my video folder got deleted with 500 gigs of video. All of the footage was lost. I did upload a video on the router lift but the wing build was going to be included with the saw build that was lost. I still forget which way the router spins. Th saw teeth on the inlay are going the same way the bit spins as a quick reference.
@@ShopRamblings oh that's a shame, sorry to hear that, I've noticed it for awhile and it looks awesome...would have loved to see how it's mounted and the process really...either way fantastic job friend ....
Flynndog also reviewed these tools and agrees that they are pretty good tools.
Flynndog is a lot more entertaining than me, but he seems to have a lot of the same opinions about tools as me. If it works well and costs less, it is still a good value tool even if it doesn't have a fancy name on the side. Growing up, we couldn't afford to buy fancy tools, but our tools had to work. I have made many of my own tools that I needed and could not afford.
Taytools has the same thing for a $1 more. $20.99 Framing square fence.
After getting this one I searched around and found a couple of other ones. I had never seen them before. I did notice some of the other models , the groove to put the square in was narrower and could only hold one square. I am not sure about the one from taytools.
@@ShopRamblings I'm not saying which is better, just that there are other similar products out there. I got mine about a year ago. More options are more better.
Great video going to check out the one for the edge of the big square great ideas
It works better than expected. I really like it.
Nice little tools.
Agreed
Great content!
Thanks
