I've seen a lot of these tools on Amazon but now im going to actively look for this brand thanks to your videos. appreciate your time and attention to detail.
Nice tools. Good on GoingMake for responding to feedback. The pocket hole jig is the same design as the Enjoywood one sold by BangGood (and now Amazon). Both are based on the Massca, but the GoingMake and Enjoywood both have 3 hole guide bushings rather than 2. The Enjoywood, doesn't have any blowout on the side of the pocket holes, but the end of the holes are not as clean as with the GoingMake. The Massca and Enjoywood both come with steel rods that can be used to stabilize the jig, but that doesn't really matter if it's mounted on a table. Of the three, the GoingMake looks to be the best value as it's half the cost of a Massca, and 25% less than the Enjoywood. Nice touch adding 1/32 increments to the thin rip jig. I don't know of another one that goes that small. You're almost to 11.5K subscribers. Better watch out, or the next thing you know is that you're suddenly famous.
I have several items from Banggood also. It seems the Goingmake tries to and something extra to all their tools. The first several emails I received from them all asked for feedback on how to improve their tools. It seems their goal from the beginning has been to make better tools than what is already being produced. I respect a company with that philosophy.
That is some awesome demo and reviewing…you speak my language too…where are you from brother? By the way, any of those ‘red’ tools you don’t want to keep, I’ll be happy to give my address…you can send ‘em my way… Seriously, thanks for being you.
I really appreciate you showing the difference in the older edition tool and the newer version. I like upgrading my tools. Like you I pass on my older retired tool to the older care facility’s then I help them make birdhouses. It’s really fun. I think going make is really working hard to make sure they are in the top tier grouping tier. That has been noticed for awhile by a couple of folks that use their tools. Thanks for taking the time. Well Done! TS, Portland, Oregon
That’s an awesome pocket hole jig! I need this! I have dabbled in woodworking for a long time but have recently gotten into it more. Researching different tools and tricks to become better and came across your videos. Love your honest opinions and instructions. Thank you.
many greets from Germany and thank you for your review and I communication with the company for making better tools :) this tools looks awesome thinking about to get some. thank your for your explanation and your time for testing it. I MA very interested in these tools
I dunno I think kreg nailed the pocket hole thing by pure convince of the self clamping deal, be hard for any company to compete with that, that's what sells me on stuff is how fast and how accurate it is...
I have owned Kregg pocket hole jigs for 15 years. I have had issues with several of their auto adjusting clamps. Most times, if I am doing multiple pocket holes, it is all in the same size material. I am not saying that Kregg doesn't make a quality tool. They warrantied every one of the clamps that stopped working. For the price and features, I like this one. If I needed one now, I would have no issue picking up a Kregg locally.
That pocket hole jig looks great . can be a great upgrade from a small plastic kreg that was an upgrade from home made (wood and aluminum tubing ) jig before. One step at the time is the right approach for a weekend wood workers
Definitely, I am constantly upgrading as I can. I started with the small Kregg. I then moved up to the Harbor Freight benche top one. This one is definitely a nice upgrade from both of those.
I have the old Kreg K4. One advantage of the Kreg is that you clamp it to table near the dust port. That would be an improvement to the Goingmake. I like the removable drill guide. I need extra guide for Kreg.
@@ShopRamblings yes I can't justify buying a newer Kreg model. My initial response was that the goingmake was a copy of the k4 until I saw the feature difference. I'm impressed with their products I own
@@ShopRamblings It’s fine. It’s just a rectangle plate with holes for pins to locate, and drill bushings. I think the bushings might wear out because they’re not super hard ones like in JessEm dowel jig. Anodizing aluminum can be done many ways with improved durability and I doubt they’re going the extra cost route there. It is thin, soft, and scratches easily. It doesn’t need to be that good, again, it’s fine. The design is good for a compact jig.
Because I was just setting it to a random spot. I did not worry about dailing it into an exact number. So, to quickly set it to around 1/8. Then, to cut three strips that are exactly the same is a win. If I needed them to be an exact size, I could adjust from there. Being able to repeatedly cut strips the same size it what the jig is for.
Going maker doesn't have one but this is the one I have. I like that it has a replaceable blade. So far I am still using the first side. It can be rotated 3 time before it has to be replaced. www.banggood.com/Adjustable-Electric-Drill-Truck-Circular-Auxiliary-Tool-5-or-16inch-to-3-or-4inch-Round-Wooden-Rod-Tenon-Imperial-p-1999499.html?cur_warehouse=CN&rmmds=search&p=J1182275583621202310&custlinkid=3979014
Picked up you channel by chance, what a stroke of good luck. I have seen a couple of shows using Goingmake tools so watching your show I got chance to see the build quality. Liked your comments and tried to purchase one of the tools shown, unfortunately over here in the UK we cannot get most of the tools shown yet, maybe in the future. I have heard that they may be putting a website together. Fingers crossed. Until then I'll keep watching your channel what a great find with honest opinions good or bad.
Thanks, I am trying to stop doing reviews so I can do more project videos. This makes me very selective as what I review. I just turned down 6 products today. I am glad people find my videos informative.
I like their stuff. Well built, accurate, thoughtful, good prices. I will have to try the pocket hole jig when my current plastic one kicks the bucket.
I like that saddle square I’m going to get me one of those. I’m getting ready to put new stair railing in and that will work great for marking the newell post and the angle for the top rail.
My grandson and I have just started woodworking together and we're looking for quality layout tools. We were shocked at the prices. Thank for these alternatives. Your videos are great keep them coming.
I have to agree with you on the color. There are so many companies trying to make their tools look like the high end Woodpecker tools. Very often they turn out to be poor imitations of a quality product. I've been in the market for one of those thin rip jigs. I'm going to get a black one and start my going make collection. Thanks.
They have sent me several of their tools. Almost all of them I already had of a different brand. I have given away most all of my other one and kept the Goingmake ones. That should be enough to know my true feelings about the quality.
I was surprised at how accurate the thin rip jig made each piece. I look forward to using the pocket hole jig on my next project. They all three will be great additions to my tools.

Some of my favorite tools are from Germany. Unfortunately, many are hard to get or out of my budget. I hope to get over there one year.

When you drew that 30 degree line on the 4x4... did you measure the angle to confirm that it was 30?
I did, and it was.
@@ShopRamblings Good to know...thanks for the response!
The pocket hole jig looks much better than Wen.
I don't have the WEN, so I can't compare them, but this one is the best one I have used. I have used several different ones.
looks solid and lasting ,very ihterested in this brand of tool !
I am still using them and they are holding up perfect.
great channel, keep it up i wonder if i could get their tools here in australia
You would think since they are shipped here they could be shipped there.
when i have tools like that with a loose pin i just use a bit of bluetack to hold them together
That is a good idea.
Looks great. I bought their shelf pin guide maybe a year ago.
What did you think about the quality?

Wish they had a version of the square in metric.
I am surprised they don't.
Am definitely going to check out these tools
You won't regret it.
Ramblings,you ain't lying.
I try not to.
Like the ne version especially rip guide and markings on squares
Do you like the red or the black.

1/8” is .125 not .140 so I don’t see how that is a win

I've got a couple of different tools from GOINGMAKE and I'm quite impressed with the quality.
I was pleasantly surprised at their quality when they sent me several of their tools. All were high quality.
Awesome video. I like my HF pocket hole jig but, it’s time for an upgrade and this looks like the one. Thank you sir.
I have the HF one. I have built a lot with it. The way this one is built itbmakes a much smoother hole. Dust collection makes a huge difference.

I've had one of the blue plastic ones for 15 years. They hold up surprisingly well. It might be in a long wait.
Thanks for another good video. You and the fellow from Hooded on Wood aren't afraid to give feedback to these companies, which they often listen to.
Goingmake asks for feedback. That is what impressed me the most about the company.
Another practical, well presented review. Big fan. Thanks.
Much appreciated!
Nice presentation! I'll just have to give Goingmake a try!
Let me know what you think when you do.
Goingmake has some good tools. I have the shelf pin jig, concealed hinge jig and the thin rip jig and I think all of them are good quality.
I have them also. I have not had a single issue with any of their tools.
Looks like these are some very useful tools. I think I’ll get some eventually. Great video!
Thanks

I just built some stairs last week. It probably would have helped if I had one.
i respect your honest opinion on tools you receive for review. i appreciate you taking the time making the video.
My pleasure!
Nice review and good to see a company that takes constructive comments to heart. I may have to give that 4x5 a shot soon.
That seems to be a popular item. I also have a 3x4. I like it better.
Demo videos are so much better than Amazon reviews to know these items are worth the price... thanks!
Glad you like them!
