    Thanks Will for these best posture alignment exercises. There are many videos on the internet which don’t explain these exercises properly. Glad to follow your channel. You always explain everything so clearly that it becomes really easy to do the exercises demonstrated by you. Stay blessed❤

    What also helps that first tilting exercise is to imagine the pelvis as a big bowl filled with water and to tilt it forward (anteriorly) means to spill out a bit from the front and to tilt it backwards (posteriorly) means to spill out a bit from the back! These are so good and could easily be marketed for younger people as "anti-aging"! Thanks a million :))

    • @bstaykova2003
      @bstaykova2003 2 місяці тому

      Young people have the feeling that aging is something which happens to other people but not to themselves.When I was young in my teens I felt I would be young until the end when I die calmly and painlessly at the advanced age of 50 or a little bit more.

    • @yvonnemariane2265

      @@bstaykova2003 I think at all ages we tend to feel that about more advanced age lol.! *50* ? I'm well-past that and better than ever!

    Re the first exercise - if you do have lower-back issues, the postural tilt can also be performed lying on your back - as they do in Pilates. The benefits of this option, is that by lying on your back, no load is going through the lower-back.

    Thanks Will. These exercises are superb and your explanations and demonstrations are perfect. They complement and add to what I've learned from my physical therapist and personal trainer. Three years ago I underwent Anterior Cervical Discectomy and Fusion for cervical disc degeneration. The surgery was most successful relieving my cervical radiculopathy, but post-op and ongoing neck and back exercises have improved my posture and range of motion incredibly. I can now turn around to back out safely from parking spaces.

    I have been struggling with back aches since I lost 10% of my body weight in Autumn 2023. It has been very debilitating and upsetting.
    Have tried massage and physio which helped the flexibility of the upper vertebrae but the crippling pain in my mid-back area has persisted.
    In the last couple of days I started to try your "chest opener stretch". This is so easy to do even when out and about.
    Today I felt your exercise has almost banished the pain and I plan to continue to be sure of a permanent resolution.
    Thanks so much

    Thanks for all the exercises. I’m 63 and are spending much time infront of the computer screen, during my work. One question, or rather a thought: in my 20ies I was training and competing in judo. During training we often did the bird dog. We often did a variant. When we flexed the back upwards we touched the lifted arm’s elbow to the lifted kne, meeting under the belly (hope this description makes sense) and then lifting the arm and leg again, never puting the knee or hand down. We did a series of these flexions before we changed arm and leg. Love to hear your thoughts on the pros and cons on this, if any.

    What is best exercise to correct one hip being markedly higher than the other? (Due to severe spasticity pulling one hip down so that one hip is much higher than the other)

    I will say that the cat cow in any position ahould be approached with caution if you have deteriorated facet joints like me.
