In some ways the most amazing thing about Newton is that he died at a ripe old age even by our standards with a well paying job he held onto for many decades. It seems like most stories of great historical intellects, philosophers, and artists end with "And then they spent their last years in poverty and died penniless and broken" or "They were tragically taken before their time by some disease or substance abuse," or "They were never appreciated during their time and it was only years after their death that their work would become well known."
But Newton was like "Naw, I'm going to die rich, famous, and old."

It was quite rare for people to live to an old age in the 1600’s. Life expectancy in London was only 30-40 years at the time. But of course, there were a few exceptions. Newton was one of them who lived till age 84. Edmond halley was also born in the 1600’s and he lived for 85 years.

Thanks for your video, highly appreciated. Compliments of the Season. BTC price is in a precarious location, the asset set a new all-time high just days ago but is currently below the record and starting to decline. analysts suggest that the latest rally above $32.000 could have been triggered by aggressive buying from institution investors on coin base, as suggested by the large premium of about $350 compared to the price in binance....The shifting momentum is now presenting in technical indicators supplying bearish movement, adding to the double top narrative that’s been building since failing to break $30,000.?? This being taken into note, it can’t be more obvious that trading Bitcoin is way more profitable than just holding and waiting for the price of Bitcoin to skyrocket. I didn’t think it was possible to make constant win from trading till I came across Carlos Andrewfx program for investors/newbies who lack understanding on how trading Bitcoin works, to help them recover loss from the crash and also stack up more bitcoin, he provided me with %100 signal and with his strategy i was able to increase my portfolio from $4000 to $42,000 in just a week, I was convinced to say his an expert, with Andrew help. A very comprehensive summary of his life and work. I would loved to have known more about Clavis and his experiments on alchemy. Today we scientist would say this was a blind alley of nonsense but what exactly did he do and find out, if anything?

Its nice to hear about the genuinely amazing people of history every once and a while. On many occasions, upon further research of people who I thought were heros, who invented new technology or ideas, and/or were one of a kind leaders of their time, I always end up becoming extremely disappointed when I discover who they actually were. But every now and then, I realize these people were way better than I previously thought. I wish more people were like Newton, and I aspire to be someone who truly makes a difference in the world

Most teenagers have a movie star, or a singer as an idol. My idol was Issac Newton. His equation for gravitation was elegant, and his invention of calculus proved his genius mind. I place Newton and Einstein on equal footing for brilliance and contribution to science.

Around 10:58 Actually, I don't really mind the mid-video adverts all that much. I like radio shows from the golden age of radio where the adverts were practically a part of of programme and presented by the actors, as you do, Simon. I joined UA-cam Premium about a year ago because I got tired of jarring adds popping up in long videos that I wanted to watch. Edit: I, too, would enjoy an episode about Rene Descartes (and Greorg Cantor, the father of Set Theory)...

Since I went to the Leibniz university I have to suggest him as a subject ;) I would also want to suggest Albrecht Daniel Thaer, the father of agricultural science from my hometown, who might be an interesting subject to do a bio on.
