I watched this movie early last year I think (2022) and loved it. Went into it with zero expectations and was pleasantly surprised. I had no idea it was even shown in cinemas, thought it was just another straight to streaming release. Just earned a subscriber for this, great video.
I know this video is over half a year old now, but I just found your channel by chance and gave Love and Monsters a watch. It has all of the trademarks of teen apocalypse fantasy like Hunger Games, Divergent or Maze Runner. But it's actually really nice. I had a blast all the way through. Really nice one. Thanks for lighting up an hour and a half of my life. I appreciate it.
Why isn't this channel popular yet? It is 100% professional, quality match the videos which have 500,000'ish views! I hope you'll break the yt algorythm, cheers 😃
I know right!? I watched the whole video without looking at the view count and was so surprised to see that it wasnt 500k or more, fantastic video, definitely going to be watching more!
This recap made the movie sound eerily similar to Wristcutters: A Love Story with purgatory swapped out with a monster apocalypse. Definitelky intrigued.
i remember i saw thriller of this movie like once...... i think maybe i need to go and watch this my self if it as good as you said. thanks for this video.
Dude all of your videos are mint. I watched the 'LOTR vs ROP' videos first and then you popped up for Skyrim and I didn't realise it was you again until halfway through that video. After I finished it I decided to check out your channel and that lead me here. Your ability to explain the effects of different story telling and cinematic techniques is very advanced. I don't know why, but it's so nice to know WHY I love the stories and productions that I do. Props!
This was the first movie I saw in theaters after the big shut downs, and was heartbroken by how it failed in theaters. I was so happy to see it at the top of streaming services for months after, but still would have been better to have butts in theater seats.
Your channel is going well man, its in my recommended from the LOTR vid, hope the algorithm pushes it where it deserves to go. Keep uploading and maintaining your comments section and you should go really well with this good content
Love&Monsters is so good. It's an amazing roadmovie. It's a great monster movie. It's a cool and scary as hell apocalypse movie. It has good story and very likeable characters. Just a guaranteed good time movie, a very easy reccomend.
I’m going to give this movie a watch tonight because this video. And I’m going to subscribe right now while I’m thinking about it so I don’t forget lol. I’m going to watch it everything you have uploaded, the Skyrim video was randomly recommended and I liked it so much I went and watched the rings of power video, the Harry Potter video, now this one, and will continue to watch the rest in uploaded order… thanks for these videos man, happy to have stumbled across your channel.
This movie is the epythom of good writing. From the start to end, everything fits. Each piece as a reason too be, and place to go. And THIS IS what is lacking in almost all latest Hollywood movies, MCU, DC, Disney and other shit... I have really like this movie, the both time I have see it. And the acting was also great. The world building so well done ❤
I initially thought this movie was bad form some review I'd seen of it a little after it's release and boy do I now wonder waht that reviewer was on, cause I really wanna see the film now.
If this movie were released about 15 months earlier than it was, it probably would've netted a much larger audience from the pandemic. When it did release, everyone was so tired of lockup and talking about quarantine that anything involving apocalypse was picked up and chucked from view. This is still happening with a few other games, movies, etc. like S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2. The human apocalypse survival struggle genre was huge for 20 years but now that we've gone through another event that could've turned apocalyptic, nobody wants to see or hear about it anymore.
I see a lot of clips from The Secret Life of Walter Mitty, which is another favorite of ours despite it getting pretty poor reviews from most critics. Is a video coming about that movie?
Not to be creepy or anything, but you have a soothing voice. I've had to click away from videos I'm genuinely interested in because I found the narration annoying.
For me it was just trying to be too edgy and funny like something from 2010 like Zombieland. The openng scene where he narrated "especially if you leave the thank..Bob" for example really made me sigh.
The movie is derivative slop. Couple of good moments but overall it’s aesthetics over substance again, like the 30 pitch about monster world was all they had. I liked killing time with it but this is nothing special. Just junk food.

Just earned a subscriber for this, great video.
I wish they would do a rerelease of this in theaters so people could have a chance now that restrictions are lifted.
Thanks for joining the team! 🙂
because you had zero expectations you liked it so much, in the end I think it's a little to childish for my taste

: Dylan O'Brien
That dog was so good!!
(and the movie overall)
I watched this movie randomely when searching on Netflix and had a blast, no expectations or anything prior. Absolutely underrated!
This was such a cute movie. Hard to believe it wasn't better received. Thanks for putting a spotlight on it!
This movie was so refreshing to watch On Demand during the real apocalypse tho.

Loved this movie, it has a lot of heart and a good message.

If movies were judged purely on their monetary success, then the Transformer movies are fantastic, and that's a world I don't want to live in. Lol.
Hahaha too true

I just watched the movie after watching this video.. thank you so much. It was amazing! Looking forward to other suggestions!

Thank you for the recommendation.
It was a pretty great movie. A lot of people underestimate how important execution is in a story.

i too thought it was based on a book , or a comic... and totaly Underrated
Two lines from the movie stuck with me:
"Needle through water" and
"Look into the eyes, eyes don't lie"
i watched this and i love it so much all the charaters are good, and the scene with the robots too, would be a fun tv show
I initially thought this movie was bad form some review I'd seen of it a little after it's release and boy do I now wonder waht that reviewer was on, cause I really wanna see the film now.
Yess dude, friggin diamond in the rough, one of the only sane enjoyable movies during the pandemic. Joel aint no simp!

How about Speed Racer:??
It's Thomas!
