- Hey! Sorry i've been gone for so long! I'm finally all moved in and settled in my new dorm at school! After posting pictures of my dorm on snapchat and Instagram I got a lot of requests for a dorm tour. Also, I apologize for the music being so loud at the end, technical difficulty! Enjoy!

Command strips come in hook form. If you put them spaced out along the walls, you could hang the lights on that. Or use thumb tacks underneath them to hang them, but sometimes thumb tacks damage walls.
the white shower curtain is used as a liner, the linwr protects the decorative curtain and keeps water from spilling everywhere. You guys put the shower curtain up wrong o:

You could hang your lights with command hooks. And if you are having issues with an extension cord for them command has strips that are velcro. I use them everywhere in my room!

So I'm going to FIU in the summer and my mom is really persist in me not getting a meal plan but for freshmen dorms like panther hall and lakeview it says its required. Just wondering what residence hall this one was so I can have a better option as a incoming freshman.
im pretty sure all freshman that live on campus are required to have a meal plan. this is lake view south

How do have so much stuff? I feel so inadequate compared to you, my room at home(I'm a graduating senior) doesn't even have that much stuff 😭
Am I really going to need to buy this much stuff just for college? Do people usually bring this much? I'm starting to get worried because I'm on a really tight budget and I doubt I would be able to afford anything to this extent. 😖😔
No lol it just depends on whatever you feel like you need you don't have to have exactly what everyone else has
start saving up now. sign up for coupons. bed, bath, and beyond has a 20% off coupon. if you want, make multiple emails and keep signing up for the same coupons. that's what I always do. look for coupons and bargains everywhere!! they're going to be your best friend. plus, if you can't buy everything rn, you can always work and just buy things throughout the year. dorm room shopping can be challenging because you don't wanna bring too much and be completely cramped. I also suggest creating a pinterest account if you don't already have one. it has really good shopping lists for college students and great ideas for shopping on budgets and even DIY tips!

If you get some command hooks from like target or walmart, you can hang the lights up!

Firstly, congrats on your move to the beautiful Miami! I recently visited FIU campus and fell in love! It's a more mid-sized University of Miami.
I just wanted to ask about tips and advice for most of the seniors out here.
I'm currently a senior at a Developmental Research School and it's basically a smaller version of the actually university (FAMU-to be exact) and well being that Its located in my home town... It's my first university choice. Anyways, I was wondering if you could share your experience in applying to college.
What would you suggest?
What are the do's and don't's?
Just any advice and/or tips will do!
