I met Admiral Stavridis and his wife Laura at the store I work at (Publix Supermarkets) in Atlantic Beach. Very nice couple. He gave me a book he wrote, “The Accidental Admiral “ about when he commanded the NATO forces. He even autographed it for me! Nice to see him on The Daily Stoic! Thank you, Ryan and Admiral Stavridis!

To everyone who has started or is thinking of starting their own business: *Believe in yourself and never give up.* If you can work 8 hours for someone else. You can work 2 hours for yourself..

If anyone hasn’t, I’d recommend reading a book called “Endurance,” it’s a historic book about an Arctic exploration ship called the Endurance was icebound and the captain works to keep his men alive and get them home. It shows just how tough human beings are

It's insane though right? We cannot even seem to endure even the simplest things such as fasting, or cold showers. Our sedentary lifestyle has left us weak and soft.
But deep inside lies a great power that is rarely ever used...

Read this off the recommendation of (another?) UA-camr when I first got into stoicism, self-improvement etc. Great book and very inspiring.

I dare say, at the of the day, you will be on a long path and surprisingly alone, so take it easy on yourself, don't be serious about what you think. It's just point of view.
