He gave me a book he wrote, “The Accidental Admiral “ about when he commanded the NATO forces. He even autographed it for me! Nice to see him on The Daily Stoic! If anyone hasn’t, I’d recommend reading a book called “Endurance,” it’s a historic book about an Arctic exploration ship called the Endurance was icebound and the captain works to keep his men alive and get them home. It shows just how tough human beings are
It's insane though right? We cannot even seem to endure even the simplest things such as fasting, or cold showers. Our sedentary lifestyle has left us weak and soft. But deep inside lies a great power that is rarely ever used...
