Is the initial backflip used to perform the zonk mechanic, a backflip cancel in particular? Also, a good way to train this motion would be to hop in a rings map, like future rings Joshb, and perform a backflip cancel, or a precisely timed musty flick, from an elevated position downwards, and then try and recover afterwards. It’s all about the timing of the cancel.

Not a new mechanic, I did it before a lot 🤓 Those guys are nerds, this has probably been done already a good amount of times, but it’s not popularized. Especially when you went from the wall, I’ve seen that before. But the one from the ground where you chain the resets not so much. This is the case for most new mechanics, they exist already in some way until someone gets to the minute details and polishes it. Same with the musty flick, some people probably already did it but it got popularized by musty.
