If you are still having trouble setting up your DAW for streaming, check out this short Cakewalk by Bandlab tutorial which shows how I use my X18 and a Reaplugs plugin to setup OBS for streaming in Cakewalk by Bandlab. I recently made a video sharing how setup Cakewalk by Bandlab for live streaming. After doing more research I found out the Reaper has the Reaplugs plugin suite which comes with various plugins. One of the plugins works great with OBS to allow you to stream/record sound directly from your DAW. I also discovered that the Behringer X18 will allow you to route audio to OBS for streaming and recording. If you have a digital mixer it offers endless options for routing. Before I used the Focusrite Scarlett 2i4, it is a great unit but for some reason it showed so much latency it made it hard to even live record.

Hi there, I think you are missing a step in Cakewalk. You should insert the reastream standalone in Cakewalk master out FX and set it to "Send Audio/MIDI" (and make sure in plugin interface in OBS it is set to "Receive Audio/MIDI).
Or am I missing something ?

You pose a great question. Honestly I haven’t tried what you suggest. I didn’t need to do all of that but it may be because I was using X18 interface but I will check into that.
Let me know if that works for you. From what I researched it’s as simple as I mentioned in video but I will admit I’m not perfect and still learning daily.

Another way I recently came across is by using the NDI plugin that comes with NDI tools (free download from their website). If you use OBS and have the NDI integration plugin installed, you can send your master output to NDI over your network and anything, including OBS, that supports NDI can receive the signal.

hi Man, can I use behringer umc 404 to stream my DAW without reastream directly to OBS?
Yes. For Behringer products you shouldn’t need reastream. As long as drivers are installed and you have set it up in OBS it should work.

Hey mate, I'm not sure if you're going to see this or not, but I cannot for the life of me solve this problem I'm having or even figure out where to start. When I turn on OBS and have my webcam running, it hijacks all the sound on my pc.
I am currently running a Focusrite Scarlet USB interface, which I output to my speakers with a 1/4" jack adapter, so all my computer sound runs through my audio interface. I know there's a way to record video and be able to record audio input to Cakewalk at the same time, but whenever I have OBS open with my webcam, CW actually completely freezes because it can't access the audio device at all (apparently, from what I'm seeing - I have to hard-close CW when this happens).
Any help you can provide would be amazing and super appreciated. Love the channel. Cheers!
I’m sorry you are having issues. Do you have Cakewalk set on Wasapi shared or Asio.
When I used focusrite I had to use Voice Meeter with obs. Or use the restream plugin.

I'm so sad cuz I saved with difficulties to buy a focusrite and you tell me it doesn't work for stream, feels bad man.
Oh don't be discouraged. i have an older scarlett. i had issues streaming Cakewalk tutorials. It doesn't mean that you will have the same problem. It could be a simple driver update.

Setting up cakewalk to work with presonus studio live faders. And knobs to recording using studio live as controller please send me a contact number also is this called streaming setting up Mackie hui MCU so that moving faders on board and software works together
Hello sounnice. I apologize for the late reply. I'm a little confused on what you need help with.
I believe you are using presonus studio live as controller in Cakewalk. This should work fine as long as drivers have been installed on the computer and you have it setup as controller in Cakewalk. If you need help with this let me know.
Second you mentioned streaming using the Mackie HUI. Are you wanting to use that as a controller also or just hoping that one of the units will work in Cakewalk?
