Great video, you covered some good topics & I agree with all of it. There are times when some of these things are more important but for the most part nope, cheers 🍻
Awesome of you stopping by my friend. You always catch my videos I appreciate you so very much I hope you have a happy holiday! Love to you and yours! ❤️🩷💜

Love the song. It's stuck in my head now lmaooooo. Thanks for checking it out. I agree just get the lock open without the key and you're in business! Hope you had a great Christmas and have a wonderful new year my friend. You deserve nothing but the very best! 💋💋💋💋💋💋💋
great advice there Lady Locks! I'm still working on barrel spools and in the mean time opened my Lockman Megacross, now trying to open my two Lockwood Twins that I got from Weasel. The side pins make no sense to me at all. It feels like an impossible pick at this time.
OH shoot Wolfgang we can hop on discord and figure it out just hit me up when you've got some time. Or I can do a video about them too if you want. Don't know how much help just a video would be for what you've got going on but let me know man. I'm happy to help if I can. Thank you so much for watching my friend! 💜🩷💜
I have used key bitting in the past to check and realize that a pin is a zero lift jobby; but what was odd to me is that before doing that, it might feel like the pin was binding anyway, so I'd pick it and inevitably overset the stupid thing, at least in my beginner days. Initially, it was hard to visualize why a driver pin already just above the shear line would feel as if it were binding under tension but eventually I figured out I was just forcing the key pin up into the tight, narrowed bible space, ala "binding". I'm still not sure how differentiate that feel though between pins though.. probably the degree of resistance?
I still cannot tell a zero lift pin from a binding pin. I just try to pick it and see it oversets then try to avoid it. But I have no way to know the difference otherwise. I've been asking ppl and no one can tell it seems. If I ever find out I will be blasting it from the rooftops though so everyone else can tell. 💜🩷❤️
This may sound like a pointless question, but do you think that learning from a lefty when I'm a right hander makes a difference? I've noticed how you how your hold your pick and am currently trying that.
Probably makes a bit of a difference as far as holding things would go. I know myself I cannot mirror things to like watch a lefty and then do it righty. Lmaoooo. I'm terrible at that stuff. So it may help to just catch a righty video to see how to hold things. But the core advice as far as the feedback you're feeling and stuff will definitely be the same advice. Just the holding things part may be difficult to get down trying to do it opposite. 💜🩷❤️
@LadyLocks YES!!! It's super hard. I figured it was just a me thing. 🙄 but that's what I've started to do now is watching your videos and others of course just to see how people hold their pick. I will find my comfortable hold soon.
Unfortunately learning the hard way, totally with you on the Key Bitting*. In my humble opinion as a newbie, it appears to be more about possibly needing a deeper hook than difficulty. As for Binding Order, I think I needed to use it half a dozen of times or so. It can and does help, but hardly needed. At least for now. Thanks for the chats! Wish I could listen in more.
Awesome stuff! I'm sorry I missed this one because there are a few things you bring up that I find of particular interest, so much so that I may make a video myself - not so much a response video but kind of, lol. One thing I do have trouble with is spool pin locks - I'm working on an Abus Silver Rock 5/40 at the moment, I've picked it before a few times but its very tricky for me for some reason. Beautiful little lock, but very Abus, by which I mean its like a frickin yo-yo in there - you set one spool, another one drops and it just goes on like that for ages, lol. Abus are the hardest for me, at least out of the ones I've come across - they're my bogey lock, if you will. Gimme an American full of serrated pins all day! This could end up being an essay, so I'll just do a video myself later I think, lol! Catch ya and thanks a lot, merry Christmas. :) x
I'll definitely check it out if you do a video. I put some tips about the spool pins in that other comment on the other video. I hope it helps you out. If you need some more help, hop on the discord server and we can figure out how to get you kicking butt on the spool pins in no time!!! 💜🩷❤️
Good points and perspective. I did not realize anyone was making half tang picks. If any of mine are I have not noticed it.
Yea, I've never noticed either. Lol. Thank you for checking it out! 🩷❤️💜😘
Fantastic video , Merry Christmas everyone.
Thank you so much! Have a great holiday and give love to the family from me ok. ❤️🩷💜
