Can def relate to so much of this... expanding new layers of healing and understanding. Growing up with at least one Narcissistic parent groomed me to 'find a man' to basically control my life- always torn between, feeling shame for my needs, and feeling super dependent, and wanting independence. So confusing... I can see now how this all led to my experience in a cultic situation with a 'Guru' fixated on me. And the confusion and guilt when leaving.. Uggh .
Thank you Daniel Shaw, this was very interesting, and thank you ICSA for these videos. They're invaluable to those of us manning the anti-cult trenches.
I found this very interesting- at the end the discussion about his inability to participate in a subjugating position anymore... I can't even listen to "Guided Meditations".. which drive me nuts, and talk about Chakras and Ego and...etc etc
"...who you are is now all about what the leader requires ...." - this nails a huge aspect of my own experience or a border-line cult .... when I became physically ill, I was essentially thrown under the bus and I got to see how mercenary the culture really was and not at all about living the values of unconditional support and respect it espoused ..... much more to it than just this aspect, but this is just the point I'm up to so far in this video (27:27), and I really wanted to acknowledge it
Identify thief:: very profound concept and true. We do out of who we are. People playing God for agendas deny the basis for life out of being who and what He made us to be, living in a loving way towards others.
am living this 3 years wish i could get help so angry as i have been explaining to teachers and social service given printed reports they dont even read. thankyou for this you are amazing wish i could get the right help for my 7year old
Michael Jackson said it-"HE'S BAAAD"!!! For information about Swami Shankarananda look up these words: "guru sex scandal the age" or "secret sex shakes shiva" or "alleged victims of shiva the age" or "police investigate sex shiva the age"!
Daniel Shaw spent a large part of his adult life telling people that Siddha (SYDA) was a perfect group and that they should donate money to Siddha to make it more powerful. Where is his public apology written for this?
so in general a Narcissist is just someone society does not like, someone who has ambitions and a few traits that are vaguely "evil". Bragging is seen as bad, and humble, talented, ambitious people are seen as a scam. Then what is the difference between a psychopath and a narcissist? Lookths to me like the diagnosis Narcissist also subject to a lot of envy and helplessness for hens followers and friends. How about the old diagnosis Satyriasis? Satyriasis was a casanova-like behaviour that many people would disgust because many people would feel betrayed - but today, there is no such dagnosis because the acceptance for a free sexuality has outlived this diagnosis. I think there is a tendency to label Narcissist anyone who has more control over us than we are comfortable with, same with psychopathy. Now when someone does a crime or mistreats someone by controlling , manipulation (actual manipulation, not felt manipulation) or abusing, that is a real problem that should be dealt with. When it comes to sect dynamics, I am a former member of one myself, and unfortunately there is very little research on the dynamics in the sects up to this date. I reccommend a book by swedish Håkan Järvan called Sektsjuka, about a former Scientologist.

Same here.
Having a narc parent makes you a magnet for these assholes sadly. Better not to have anything to do with these losers

Lecture starts at 5:47 skip the lengthy intro.

Legend 👏
Why? She made a good presentation.

Stick with "calm" and "declutter the mind" youtube channels. They are safe.
Guided meditation, chakras and ego are all new age (shadow black square Masonry) stay away from it. Kabalastic cult BS!

So grateful to discover this today. Just what I needed. Thank you very much for sharing. Much needed and courageous!
Awesome presentation of the Toxic shaming of Narcissism
Very good video -- explains why I'm circling around cults and not really being sucked in.
it's like when you're madly in love, straight out of madness, as if every song talked about you supposedly.

Really appreciate this video, it helped me a lot to understand the truth about the cult leaders, thanks!)
Thank you Daniel 🙏🌹
Thank you!
Traumatic Narcissism: Relational Systems of Subjugation.
It’s really interesting but the sound is very muffled.
Unfortunately, the audio is too poor for me to understand it and the subtitles don't help.
Too bad, because it’s highly valuable understanding and material

asa este MISA in Romania...foarte trist..
YEAH, put the lumber in back boys ! ! !

Dudes, this is your brain on Daniel - yeah, real, dudes ! ! !
Is there any historical background to Tantric sex ,it seems to be a home-cloth invention?
It's called "date rape" ? The definition of Tantra to these people is promiscuous sex !
I think he sat on the big one during this writing of this book !
25:40 32:20
Really bad audio. Can't listen.
Is that Shaw or is this a Danny DeVito movie?

Wow some real freaks on here.
Lecture ends at around 1:18:00. If you just skip to there, that's the best part.
He would look good in something 'skimpy' from Victoria's ! ! !
As Swami Shankarananda would say, you "have carrot in you rear"!
the constant laughing b the audience is so annoying
boring, let him speak I'm wasting my minute's already !
And psychoanalysis isn't a cult? lol
Please describe how it is so
Sounds like you never had your a** beat and maybe you should’ve for failing to show other people more respect.
