Always good to catch a titled Tuesday!! Most exciting chess on the internet. I prefer watching Simon to Hikaru or anyone. So much more exciting. All the best from Bristol
More human!
Agreed.. and don’t forget hilarious 👌
couldn't agree more
Good ol' british madness on the board!
Nothing more fun than watching GingerGM make up a gambit on the spot 😂
That's his specialty!
"My shit move meets an even worse move". Love it.
It's so good to have the GingerGM back , even when you haven't oiled your engine!! 😂
You are the most likeable GM by a mile. Would not want to face you in a chess game, but would love to face you over a beer.
Wow Simon that game against Anastasia was absolutely stunning !!
thumbnail's absolute gold, brave sir simon
I must admit I didn't get it
Always great to watch your Titled Tuesdays!!
thanks
Best chess presenter! Love the Ginger!!❤️🙏🙏
It’s the only hour long chess videos I will religiously watch.
It’s fresh air from computer analysis and boring commentary.
Keep it up!
Man this thumbnail is 10/10!!
That game against NewYearGirl at the 1 HR mark was a beautiful bit of creative, tactical, striving, discombobulating play. That's what chess should be about, and you pulled it off with aplomb. That exchange french before it definitely was indigestion-causing. I sort of had Kramnik-esque doubts floating in my noggin' at his perfect play... As always, you are above and beyond the best chess streaming personality by a country friggin' mile. Everyone else is lumpy porridge by comparison.
I did not find that french game suspect at all, white had very easy moves mostly, even I catched most of them. When I played more I played some french with black and that... happens often at slightest mistake.
Ben Finegold: "Never play f3". Ginger GM: "I can play f3 here!"
Love your thumbnails! I always look forward to your weekly uploads.
Simon is very entertaining! I have followed him for around 10 years and have massively improved in my own games. Love how he HATES the exchange french!
That last game is a showcase why GMs are so scary. Even in that mental state you still grind out to victory with zero misses, mistakes or blunders.
The attacking game at 59:53 was an absolute banger! Also, I do like the rollercoaster of highs and lows lol, like there are stakes while rooting for you
Love these streams. Wonderful British wit, and who thinks of these brilliant thumbnails LOL ! Hearing names of great British players I used to watch at Hastings Chess Congress brings back so many memories, especially playing in the same school team as Stuart Conquest and his becoming world under 16 champion.
Thanks Ginger for making me laugh even when I'm depressed. Haven't paid my rent and today's 20th mahn! But the laugh was a legit one for a long time I haven't had that.
game against Anastasia was vintage GingerGM !
Always enjoy your TT'.s. The elusive 8 will eventuate, we may not know how, and we may not know when, but we know it's in the pipe and just awaiting the light. Looking forward to the next recap in a couple days, I hope. Good luck, create mayhem, and ignore the flesh wounds.
Always a treat to see these Titled Tuesday tilts. Thanks for going into such detail on each position. Really helps to engage with what transpires.
Exciting chess, engrossing commentary! Really entertaining stuff.
That first Nikita game was thrilling. What a brilliant game.
Pressure/pressurizing statement is GOLD!
Most fun chess channel to watch
Mystifies me how anyone has the slightest interest in watching Hikaru or Magnus scoring 11/11 when we have crazy shit like this. I'm here for the Irish Pawns and Pigeon Vindaloo gambits.
Love these video's SImon (and Charlie!).
Great game against Anastasia
Always the best video of the week !!
„more mayhem incoming!“ is always a good starting promise👍
From 1:19:50 to "Because checkmate ends the f***ing game my son!!"
These 3 mins are the most authentic GingerGM ever
the most entertaining titled Tuesday stream
Super exciting and some good fast play endings
Top notch analysis during the games today. Really enjoyed it!
so nice, that you keep posting videos
Hi Simon , I don’t understand why you don’t play the exchange French with Bd6, Nc6, Qd7, 0-0-0.
You have opposite castles most of the time and a good attack, that is normally a little bit quicker than the queen side pawn push against black.
I’d love to see some more casual blitz videos like you used to do on lichess
Happy to see you play bird opening just bought the course. Game 4 we’re u sacrificed rook on f3 was brilliant I would’ve missed that move if I was playing the game
Always a pleasue squire! However, I am having serious Psycho Cowboy withdrawel symptoms.
Any chance you might be able to help over the coming weeks?
At the top right corner there is an analysis button, when you are en game review you can use than to switch to analysis instead of finding the move number.
That early g4 line against the Slav is so much fun!
Would you ever do live streams of these Simon? Or just live streaming generally where people could pay to play you?
I'd play you for free...I'm cheap. UA-cam can pay 😂
That Slav game was dope
18:15 QUEEN CHECK on a6
An emotional roller coaster as always
Alex saved his most accurate game for when he played you.
Now I know the origin of the expression " for rhe Birds" .......
Love it! Stresses me out though
Thank you sir
Yes, but a lot of theory in Nimzo-Larsen, which is the same position as your Bird's until you gave up the B....still interesting.
Can’t wait to tune in next week for some spicy pigeon poo. Good chess and even better banter.
I think when people ask 'why don't you play opening X' what they really mean is 'what do you think is wrong with opening X?' ie. they're assuming there's a reason you're playing something else instead.
That might be true often, but no one can believe the Reti would be a bad opening.
@@juhonieminen4219 10 years or so ago people believed italian was a rubbish opening.
FM Alex , 58 min. mark probably cheating.
That's what you get on this channel, boys and girls 🎉🎉🎉 😂
I think in the first game which was a Jobava London, you should've played 4.Nb5 ! Instead of 4.e3
Brilliant thumbnail.
4:10 Rd2 to protect c2 and double rooks? I’m surprised this wasn’t considered
1:20:09 Shouldn't we take the pawn on C3 here?
50:30 I believe it's Rg7! setting up a mating net with Ne6+ and Re7#
If Re8 then Nh7#
If Ke8, Ne6 anyways and Black can't escape the mating net.
If Rc6, Nh7+ followed by c7+. If black plays Ke7 we have f8=Q+ and I'm sure that's mating somehow.
Sponsored by Under Armour! Bout damn time
Playful and inspirational 😅
Does youtube restrict accounts that have too much swearing in them? Just wondering why other, shall we say less spicy (boring), channels are way over 100k now and you're not. This channel should have been up there long ago.
Simon has historically lacked consistency, so I'm certain the algorithm hasn't been kind to him. I've been following since 2016.
mad board structure @16:15
That’s the first time I heard tripled pawns are called Irish pawns
❤
not even 20 seconds into the video and i've already been flipped off
EDIT: oh it's fingers crossed
❤❤❤❤❤
Hi Charlie.
does he live stream these?
#sensible chess brought me here
Mary Poppins said to feed the birds
Once in a blue moon play the Budapest gambit
I felt like Kramnik looking at the chinese cm I'm sorry
Omg 1:06:30
I wonder what score Simon would get to in Titled Tuesdays, if he didn't stream and commentate at the same time, but just played silent concentrating chess as the Grandmaster that he is. He is much stronger than these streams make out.
It's the way he likes to play and he has blown away several super grandmasters in classical with his style.
@@ianpierson9935 What?
@@howardgraff4084 I said..."A Monkey's Bum burger with Hippo sauce and French fries, please."
@@ianpierson9935 That's exactly what I thought you said.
Is he though? His biggest problem for what I've seen is he tends to blunder during time trouble - maybe he just isn't that suited to short time controls. Also the guy is in his 40s now and the reflexes might be going a little bit compared to all these young kids playing in TT who were born with a mouse in their hands.
please be my coach ginger gm !?
Simon should just stop playing the Reti, he already has the Bird to get some more experience on and he started playing the Botvinnik English again. It’s fine man and it’s a nice opening but you can’t learn everything.
mate mate mate the faqa
here's my guess at the results, one second into the video!
total: 6.0/11
g1: W g2: W g3: D g4: L
g5: D g6: L g7: W g8: D
g9: L g10: W g11: D
Simon, set up a patreon and ask for £2 per titled Tuesday video
I don't get it... You used to be such a wonderful French opening player (don't like the word defence, cause it's an attacking opening in my view), but you seem to have lost it somewhere...
Again, against the boring exchange : try the set-up with nc6&ne7 + f6 + 0-0-0.
It will allow you to attack with g5, h5, etc... Lots of fun!
Simon, if you read these reply if you like $$$. I would pay alot of cash to hang with my favorite GM for a day! Sorry it it seems creepy, just wanna chill with a cool dude that I res.
"Irish Pawns" Casual anti irish slur there ?!
Don't insult fellow Ginger brethren lad !😂
The dude in game 3 completely mashed the endgame. I could do better with less time.
Long Live Armenia!
Normal d4 lines that lead to Carlsbad structure and we can all go to sleep.
Don’t play the bloody Carlsbad structure. It’s the reason I stopped following Eric Rosen. Bloody boring, one could treat insomnia with the Carlsbad structure 🖕
Please stop following Simon too...
