Particularly for women - their afterlife is completely dependent on their husband’s status in the church. Something you learn in like a playwriting class is if your story doesn't have a conflict that raises the stakes in the character's life, then your story doesn't need to be written. You could be like Michael Chekhov and write something like "The Cherry Orchard" where absolutely nothing happens, but thats a specific style of his own creation.

kendahl i would really recommend a lesbian romance called: those who wait by: haley cass, it’s super fun and one of the love interests is in politics (even though it’s unrealistic). also for sarah, i really recommend bright young women by: jessica knoll, it’s fiction, but it focuses on a male serial killer who targets particularly women who are “full of life” and the victims friends work together to bring him to ruin. great story that focuses on women and defiance of the patriarchy.
