Great Video! I'm gathering the last pieces to build my DIY bench. I grew up without a dad and I really admire you for being a great one. Greetings from Chile!
Oh man, found this channel in 2020 during the pandemic, Im sooo subscribing for more DIY gym equipment... was on the process of making my own leg press, so glad I found this channel. Thanks man.
Class stuff. Made the bench yesterday out of spare 4" x 4 garden fence posts plus the simpson ties as recommended-Sturdy Job. Not a welder but might have a crack at the leg press. Keep em coming thanks
So awesome! Great job on both the equipment and your physic BUFF dad >:D. you have inspired me to make a lot of my own gym equipment. Thank you for taking the time and effort to making these videos. stay BUFF!
you Sir , are seriously very innovative , I mean who the fuck thought one could build a whole leg press machine like that!! seriously good work diy duke #Respect
Wow, fantastic video, brilliant gym apparatus. Only one info, you could tell me the measurements of the base of support (long and short side) with minimum height and height extension of the press (the two vertical arms). I would like to build it too, Would you be kind ,Thanks a lot, Fantastic
I think the idea is great. I've been going through a lot of your DIY videos recently for home gym equipment - actually super excited to build a squat cage rack after watching your video. But, I don't know if this particular equipment is all that safe.. it looks like it positions your spine in a very uncomfortable position; rather, the point of where you bend your hip is an anchor. All the pressure seems like its going to be placed on that area. Might just be me though.
Great video buff dad, is there a possibility that the buff dude gym would one day have a standing calf raise machine that attaches onto the buff dude power rack? That would be an interesting project. Great videos buff dad keep them up 💪🏻
DIY Duke Maybe you're hiding the specifics for an instructional video series or book or something huh? But after more use how has this vertical leg press held up and how has it been working over time just curious?
+Charlie MMAFAN been working really well and coming up in September I'm going to be hitting it hard been a long and busy summer and Fedor is my favorite MMA fighter of all time
@@diyduke that's awesome I love Fedor as well obviously with my picture in here but regarding the vertical leg press if you had the top pipes that come down be the smaller pipes that go inside the bigger pipes that would be on the bottom uprights you could go a little bit deeper in your movement just to tell you but regardless you're awesome at making things and I love watching you and your son in all your buff dudes workout videos.
Hey DIY Duke, I commented on one of your other videos thanks for getting back to me. I was just was wondering where you got your leather brace on your one wrist. Pretty badass I must say. DIY Duke fashion line confirmed hahahaha stay buff dude!
Ha ha, thanks Tyler. My wife Buff Mom got it for me. I'll find out where she got it. She's visiting the Buff Dudes this week so when I find out I'll let you know.
Buffdad you should check your birthmark on your right temple and let it be removed. im serious. my girlfriend is an MD and she told me so. and secondly she said "now i know where the buff dudes got their characteristics from" :D awesome channel. stay buff! :D
+Ernie Vc yeah goodwill is a thrift store, I just know they're Converse brand. Never seen that kind of Converse shoes before, thought cool hope they fit. 10 bucks and they were like brand new. Googled them but couldn't find them.
hi duke! your channel is like a dream, i really like it. i just sub. i wanna build this leg press, can you provide me thesize and length of the square tubes and rods? i would appreciate it. thank you!
Okay here is the info Rafael, et al: the square tubing is 1 -1/2 × 1 -1/2 inches, the top piece is 41 inches long that's where the weights are put and also where you push against. Next is the base made of the square tubing: 2 pieces at 36 inches, those are the length. The width is at 32 inches (two of those). You have 4 pieces, 3 inches long which have two holes 3/8 inch drilled in each one. They are welded to the 32 inch pieces, this is so you can take the donkey press apart. Course you'll be drilling 3/8 inch holes in the 36 inch pieces to create the frame base. If you don't need to take apart just weld the base. Two sizes of pipe: 1- 1/4 and 1- 3/4. The 1- 1/4 is used for the support and the 1- 3/4 will slide over the 1- 1/4. I put a little axle grease on the 1- 1/4 so it slides easier. There are two 1- 3/4 pipes cut at 24 inches and 2 at 14 inches on top where the weights go. 2- 1- 1/4 pipes at 36 inches and 4- 1- 1/4 at 16 inches for the 45° supports. The plywood base is 26×34 inches. Two 2×4 's 34 inches long cut in half length wise at a 45° to provides rear elevation. The plywood is screwed to the 2×4's. Then padding and upholstery cover. Course you can adjust the height of pipes for your particular height.

Where did BUFF DAD - DIY DUKE got his pair of shoes? I like them.
+Ernie Vc found em at Goodwill
Is that a real store or you are just joking. I like the shoes, and I wonder where can I get them. I assume they are those boxing shoes, right?
+Ernie Vc yeah goodwill is a thrift store, I just know they're Converse brand. Never seen that kind of Converse shoes before, thought cool hope they fit. 10 bucks and they were like brand new. Googled them but couldn't find them.

hi duke! your channel is like a dream, i really like it. i just sub. i wanna build this leg press, can you provide me thesize and length of the square tubes and rods? i would appreciate it. thank you!

Thankyou. Yeah been procrastinating about those measurements, do that later today.
oh thank you, i'll wait. you should do a leg raise/captains chair next time
