Love this aluminum boat stuff. I’ve fished forever in a 648 War Eagle with a 40 merc. I’ve been on Fork with it many times. You’re gonna have to talk to Ott about rigging it out. As you probably know he’s got a sweet Tracker like yours that I think is the king of aluminum rigs. Please keep us updated on the rigging.
Hey David glad you like this topic, I really enjoy aluminum boats and I’ve actually been texting with Ott to get some tips and ideas and how he rigged his out.
Thanks Beavis, appreciate the sentiment…fishing generally leaves wanting more. 😁 Yah me too, I finally had it out for the main den voyage and it’s a super sweet rig
Just bought this boat from cebalas today. Waiting for them to install the minnkota and Hummingbird. Cannot wait to bring it home and put on the mulTbars and lightbars. Gonna be an awesome cattin rig
@@jamesniggemeyerfishing Recently sold my 462; my biggest mistake ever!...I'd put an offer in on yours, but that would be quite the road trip from up here in Ontario!
Did you get the recessed tray in. Just wondering because I have a 1754 grizzly and the wife bought me the same tray. I was wondering if you cut through the supports and how it is working. Thanks
I appreciate you following up and checking back in on that project. Unfortunately, it has not progressed as other things had taken precedence. That being said, I do plan to get into it sooner rather than later, and I have different ideas on how to distribute the supports with an extra brace. I plan to do a video on the entire process, hopefully before the end of the month.
That’s a solid tracker, and it’s cool to fish team tournaments, but 17’ can be a little cramped for 2 people casting , and that depends on which direction 😜 I’m in 2 bass clubs in North Carolina and one of them changes teams for each derby, and I fished out of an 18’ which I had to watch my partner’s casts🤷🏻♂️😂😂 and I felt his lures wizzing past my ear 😂😂😂🤣 still a great boat and motor and I know I will learn from your rigging tricks✊🎣🍀🍀🎣👍👍👍
Thanks Will, you definitely need to be cognizant of the other angler in the boat, but you can do some stuff or some places that you’d never do otherwise

This is so exciting!!! I'm sorry your season wasn't as fruitful as you had hoped. Can't wait to see how she ends up

My Crestliner 1860 with a Yamaha 90hp is a beast! I added a radio and graphs.
👍 feel free to share some tips on how you rigged it out

Congrats!
Thanks for the video James - just sold my Ranger Z521 - and looking for something just like this - can’t wait to see the progression!!!
Thanks, yeah I will show more of the completed version and how I went about the transformation
I was hoping to watch some step by step videos of the upgrades!
Yah sorry that project had to be put on hold
Just put a deposit on a 1754SC today, really looking forward to getting her set up and ready for this season!
Hi James. I just bought my 1754sc in mid June. I'm going through the same process as you. I'm excited to follow along and see what you do.
That’s great Marcus - yeah a little slow on getting everything done but will have videos up as things come together
Can’t wait to see the end results
Thanks Steve - pretty excited about it
Suggestion: 3 things extend the front deck and change out the outboard to a jet for shallow water, add another
gas tank.
Hi Caleb I would like to extend the deck. If I get a jet and add a gas tank I can’t fish tournaments with it so gonna pass
Thanks for sharing your thoughts
Where did you get or can you find that white plastic tray for pliers, snips and such? Had one on a glass boat but can't find another one for it
Hi James...what happened to the Ranger 461 you started putting together?
The 461 is like 95% finished and really while I would LOVE to keep both I will mostly sell the 461. 😕

@@jamesniggemeyerfishing oh, I agree you will enjoy going to some “secret” locations 🙏👍🍀🎣🍀
Do you still have the 18 ft. Ranger you were working on
I actually still have the 18’ Ranger 461, but will most likely sell.
R there any option that can be add a windshield at the console for that boat?
I believe so, there are some options on line
Cool boat thanks for sharing. Enjoy yourself with it. Do you still have your 461VS?
Yes I still have the 461 but have plans to sell it this fall
What size boat cover for your boat?
I don’t have one that actually fits well but I am using an older Ranger cover on it
Just did a recessed trolling motor recess in my 1754 SC. I'd email you some pictures if you have interest, couple things I almost messed up.
What brand? I like to see pics.
I pre drilled for one, was right into the frame. Had to stop. I have an Ultrex 80 on mine.
