Great information, Allison! I will be waiting, too, to get my ETA, as our next cruise is in September ‘25. FYI, there’s a typo in your title: ETISA ➝ ETIAS
This interesting! We’re going on a cruise in July, 2025; visiting the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland., so it sounds like we’ll need both. Thanks for this information.
I don't have to worry about England as I'm a dual citizen and have both an English and American passport, but I am going to France in April and would love to know when I can get the ETISA and how much it costs. Thank you for keeping us informed!!
Hi just to say whilst an ETA lasts two years if your passport expires in those two years as far as I'm aware you will need to renew the ETA as it is linked to your passport and doesnt automatically transfer to a renewed passport. Hope this helps!
We have three trips planned for 2025 that will take us to the UK. We'll apply for our eta in March. We may have to apply for the etias right after that.
Thank you very much for the ETA and ETISA information. We are booked on the Sun Princess starting March 22 for 35 days. I'm concerned the ETIAS requirement may go into effect during the cruise which ends in Barcelona on April 26. Do you think Princess will be able to assist if necessary?
I just applied for the ETA about 15 minutes ago and instantly got an email back that I was approved. One of our ports other than Southampton will be in Scotland. Did you say that this will work with the stay in Scotland as well?
That's a nice succinct explanation thanks Alison. Interesting point on the tipping. We spend a lot off time in the UK and with the exception of the case of exceptional service the only people who tip there are the folks from North America.
@@markeaston7353 Hi Mark. Not accurate, as Brits both my Wife and I tip at Coffee Shops, restaurants etc . And Taxis too.We do not have a notional percentage figure for tipping as you do in America though. Our reputation for being a nation of "Non Tippers" may well be due to our general attitudes towards the subject whilst on Cruise Ships. We invariably tip abroad according to the customs of the country we are visiting and tend to respect the expected percentages whilst in the U.S.A.However, it is true to say that many British, European, Australian New Zealand folk do not like the mandatory "Gratuities" in place on most American owned cruise lines because this is a practice not found in our cultures.I believe quite a few North Americans are also beginning to question this now - particularly because of escalation? Best wishes, Bob South Wzles.
ETIAS is no charge for people under 18 or over 70.

I'm going on a quilting trip to just outside of London in September! So excited for this, Allison! Thanks for always keeping us up to date!
Very informative video Allison! Thank you @letsgotraveltips

The app , UK ETA, is easy to download and use.
Thanks for the good information as always, will be in the UK in April as well as the EU, so may need both!

Question: if we depart on our cruise in April & the ATIAS becomes required after we leave, will we be required to get it while on the cruise?
They will announce the date well in advance of when the ETIAS will be required. It won’t be a last minute surprise. 💕

Do you know if the UK ETA will be required for US citizens on flights connecting through LHR to EU countries?
Yes, it is required for transit passengers
Thank you for this information. It would be great if Gordon could pin the correct URL on this video. 😊
I don't know if I missed it, but what is the cost for these travel forms?
The UK ETA is £10 which for US is about $13. I used the app to apply and received an email confirmation within minutes.
@@hettytravels thank you
