- Lucas Botkin runs through a number of drills with a variety of weapons in a new environment! All in one take, of course.
MK18 CQBR - EOTech EXPS3 - Surefire SOCOM RC2
Steyr AUG - Trijicon ACOG + RMR RM06
PTR MP5 - EOTech XPS3 - Surefire SOCOM RC2 MINI
SCAR 17 - Leupold MK5 + Offset DPRO - Surefire SOCOM 762 Fullsize

Them MOD 2 days
@@dubvc1 I had so many friends that wanted the ACR because of that game. Overpriced pile of garbage.
@@TheApana I can second that, both in terms of wanting one then recognizing that it was lacking compared to the SCAR 16s,
then in 2013 seeing that the SCAR 16s was lacking compared to the XCR-L,
And then in 2015 seeing that the XCR-L was lacking compared to the new MCX-Virtus.
TheApana COD made me want so many different firearms, I was sad to find out the ACR wasn’t as cool as COD made it out to be.

Just when you think you’ve spent too much on guns and accessories. You watch a T-Rex arms video and realize you’re poor Lol
Caleb Clark so true
Considering they get a lot of the gear for free or it’s sold to them at a highly reduced price due to their exchange of free advertising, Id say it’s more of a business arrangement than people being rich or poor. Anyone can put the legwork and do it if they put the time and effort in.

"Handguns suck for shooting things anyways" say it louder for the folks in the back
Why do they suck? Of course they aren’t as powerful but as a sidearm within handgun ranges, they are perfectly fine. As long as you aren’t shooting an armoured target of course.
@@mouthbreather280 because they suck at killing things, and they're intrinsically less accurate because of the user interface.
arbyssauce Of course I understand that. There are less points of contact so you can’t shoot it as well as a rifle, but if your not using it against animals but human targets at handgun distances they are fine. As long as the target isn’t wearing armour. So I don’t see why they suck for shooting things, given those things are human.
@@mouthbreather280 less power in the round, science
RagingGinger I acknowledged that but like I said, it has its purpose. Of course less energy down range than a rifle, but invaluable tool nonetheless.
I'm of the opinion that you and "Garanddaddy" are without a doubt the best riflemen on UA-cam. Its been that way for a long time and likely to stay that way. I sincerely learn something from every one of your videos. Thank you. 🇺🇸👍

I love that you can hear the echo. A lot of people I know think that quiet tubes make things silent. Not the case. Sure fun to use though.
Exactly! Movies and Games always give the impression, as if a silencer would really make the sound of shooting disappear. All the sounds (echos, bullets breaking the soundbarrier, moving parts of your gun, etc.) that you only really start to hear if you delete the loud bang, are erased as well in hollywood.
It's called a Snowtercycle, my dude.

To heck with that cold stuff! I'm from Kentucky. I think it's got into the single digits once or twice since the early 80's. If I'm shooting in that cold of weather, something's bad wrong. The U.S. military learned, after WWII, to fight wars in warmer climates. When my breath is THAT visible, I'm having a Kentucky bourbon by the fire. The oxygen is always thicker there, and you're always welcome to join me. But you were sure having fun with that full auto, and that SCAR brought a smile to your face. That snowmobile action was some big boy's toys at work; AWESOME! Great footage!!!
Great work man. Running drills in these conditions is absolutely necessary for us folks in the colder elements and it's never easy....NEVER easy. Thanks for putting in the time to make this video as I know that it was an EXTRA pain in the ass as compared to a nice warm 75 haha!

Melt it down, melt it down
The last part of your video reminded me of something from James Bond, very cool!
Quick tips for anyone who is gonna be in a cold environment from a person who grew up in a tundra. First, you lose heat through your extremities your hands they are the most important to keep warm. Example, I was out and it was around -25 degrees and my gloves froze and I had to switch gloves and to keep my hands warm I unzipped my jacket faced downwind and put my hands in my armpits. If I would’ve kept them out they would’ve frozen up and I would’ve lost them. That leads to the second point, your hands lose functionality when they get cold, before hypothermia or frostbite or anything serious happens you won’t be able to move your hands well, it will feel like they are stuck in molasses, this is your body warning you that you need to warm your hands up right now or shits gonna get real bad. Third tip, wear wool under layers, when wool gets wet it doesn’t get cold, if you get wet and it’s -25 and you are wearing cotton under layers you will die don’t wear cotton. Wear wool socks (2 layers if needed) wool long johns and a wool long sleeve shirt, then wear overall snow pants and an insulated skiing jacket.
Training in all weather and terrains is a must. Thanks for the vid keep up the good work!
Yeah, until its -30 in Canada and your semi autos just dont work. That’s why our military arctic rifle is a bolt gun.
Chuck Beef wow that would be brutal temps to keep any normal motor skills exposed skin wouldn’t take long to freeze the bolt might be easier to run
If Lucas participates in a BattleRoyale (PUBG), he wins in 1 minute. ThIS guy is NINJA!
8:46 you're welcome

Best video to date. This gave me the warm and fuzzies!
I learned more just watching your movement and positioning than anything you said. Starting using the stock/brace over the shoulder more while dry running clearing my home. Thanks.
Here is a tip from Norway: Use divingglovs hven fighting/fireing in snow. Good contact and good insolation.
Got an addition to the diving glove.....use a quality thin glove liner as the first layer. Silk was the material of choice for decades. I'm using one with a polymer blend. That thin glove liner doesn't look like much but it makes a world of difference along with an outer glove.
@@LuvBorderCollies Merino wool is also awesome as a base layer for your gloves. I used a 3-layer (sometimes even 4-layer) system when doing my service in the finnish army. Merino wool thin gloves, on top of those a layer of merino wool gloves and over those the standart issue leather mittens. In fighting scenarios I took of the mittens and shot with the gloves only. Really worked great, since merino wool still keeps you warm, even when they get wet from sweat or melted snow
Toilet squad! Assemble!
The echo of the shots is so freaking cool. I love that sound.
