    Looked nice and cosy🙂some very useful tips I loved the food kit bag nice and easy to grab and go.A jam packed enjoyable watch lots of giggle at your arobics lol .So strange how those early dark nights send you off to sleep so early and then your awake for half the night and then summer comes and you dont have enough hours to sleep lol.Happy New Year to you ATB Ana

    Loving the Christmas lights, a nice festive touch. Good advice on packing what you need and not worry too much about the weight. Best to be dry and warm up on the hills. Great video Gordon. All the best for 2022 xx

    Great we camp lots of brilliant tips. I was out a couple of weeks ago in my cloud peak, was thinking it would be a good idea to peg this out first when I was struggling to stop it blowing away.

    One of the great things I enjoyed about your channel was the reviews of cheaper gear, ie nature hike cloud peak 2, ice flame quilt etc,now I see it’s a Hilleberg and a ugq quilt plus Thermarest xtherm! All top stuff, any reason your not putting the cheaper stuff through it’s paces? Cheers, Ed, Somerset

I hear you, just a bit of 'progression' really, I still have the cheaper stuff and its done me proud but I have upgraded bits of it over time. especially for doing a few winter camps I wanted something 'bombproof'. Mine is good to -6c apparently and I'd say that's right. Like the Scarp, you have to pay delivery and import tax but I thought about it for about a minute and then decided "fuck it"!!       The best one is the little goalzero micro. The air bed pump has a built in light too. (I assumed you didn’t mean the fairy lights)🤣🤣

      It does indeed, It only has to blow that bed the once and all the juice Is left for the light, The Goal Zero just never seems to die though, we all had them at the Mafia gathering and they were on for about 8-10 hours on full power and they still had two bars left on the battery!!!

      @@ashropshirelad that is impressive for such a small light, I hang my head torch up but its more a beam than a lantern so annoys me when I move and block the beam.. I will look at getting one of those 👍

    I’m guessing you’re a side sleeper like I am. That necessitates a much higher pillow. I see you’re using three pillows. I have spent hundreds of pounds on dozens of pillows over the years but the best I ever had and the one I still use, is a £10 inflatable foot rest from Amazon/Ebay. They’re fantastic.

      @@dougieranger Keep searching. I bought a big 40 litre dry bag as a liner for my sleeping gear. a few times I've stuffed some clothes, added a bit of air and shoved that under my mat to elevate a bit..

Some helpful to wildcampers of all levels I think. 15 hours in a tent may feel like a long time but on occasions it definitely helps to unwind. Excellent once again. ATB Andy

      Morning Dean, I would say that whatever I do the pack weight ends up around 12-15kgs. thats with food, water and all those little extra bits that we seem to shove in at the last minute. I'm less bothered these days and find that the shock when you first put it on fades after a while. The best way is to just go at a nice steady pace. The problem comes if you're out with others and they go all ultralight as its natural to try and match their pace. Hope that helps. atb, GJ
