Hi. Planning to change the counterhaft to 17t. This will not affect the speedo right? Also, changin to 17t will lower my final gear ratio a little bit, correct? This will give me little bit high speed or top speed?
Sir, are the adv 150 and pcx 150 the same in gearing? I have this problem in my adv 150 whistling noise and i want to buy new gearing set but pcx 150 gearing is only available at store. Thanks for the advice.
@@mlxnrzhr i am using Click 150 (Vario 150) in indonesia and the rest of the world... stock counter gear gives me 116kph tops.. everything is stock including tires... after changing to 14t i reached 124kph. with stock CVT.. so my reading is still accurate?
Tested on GPS. Yes, Upsizing counter gear DOES have an effect on your actual gps reading. Eg : stock 13t - speedo 120, GPS 113. After 14t - speedo 130, GPS 118. It is really add up some top speed on speedometer. But actual speed are not that much. My own experience.
Theres no link with the counter gear.. the speed sensor is on the final drive gear which is directly mounted to the wheel.. but its up to you to believe it or not..
Different manufacturer, different brand, different stiffness and spring rate. Some 1500rpm are stiffer than stock while other 1500rpm from different brand are way too soft than stock.. so its better not to use the term what rpm is better for the contra spring. The different rpm across one specific brand are spring rate. 17t will spread out your gear ratio. Meaning your initial ratio is taller and your ratio will max out at a higher speed.. its like moving off with gear 2 instead of gear 1 and having extra gear 7 instead of gear 6..
@@mlxnrzhr thanks for useful information..cvt matic is all in your head..im impressed 😂😂, im still trying to get mid speed power and try hard to keep the peak power at end..im will trying USR torque spring 1200rpm with 1000rpm clutch spring to balance the tall ratio..what do you think?
I’ll change my clutch and springs to stiffer ones for the engine to rev higher when starting to gain back those lost acceleration. I know one downside with this setup and it’s fuel efficiency but in your opinion, are there other ways other than a big bore kit? Currently I’m using an aftermarket variator 12/14 roller weights. Topspeed on centerstand 141-142kph. 118kph on the highway(1.5km) and still can go higher but the road is short. Planning to reduce roller weights to straight 12 grams after installing the 17t.
17t takes a bit of time to reach top speed. But i can cruise 120-125km comfortably. The gearbox bearing wont last on 17t. I suggest you look into ecu remap or aftermarket ecu before big bore. Stock engine runs very rich at full throttle.
How come the bearings won't last? Is it because of the larger diameter gear will grind against the final drive gear therefore stressing out the bearing? Sorry for asking too many questions, just curious about the consequences of changing to 17t.
The diameter is actually the same, but the teeth are cut smaller with a slightly different angle in order to fit. Gears are usually match in pairs. So in this case the 17t doesnt really fits properly. The other problem is backlash. 17t have quite a big backlash. When you go on and off the throttle at low speed, this backlash will kill your bearing..
@@mlxnrzhr but is it okay to change with stock also? This is the part where you connect the rear wheel tire right? Having some issues with the threading due to not properly entering the nut.
@@mlxnrzhr I'm sorry, I have a problem with my threading in gear comp because the nut was not properly attached with the gear comp. is it okay to change it? thanks!

good morning, the oil you will use is 10w30 honda???? the valvoline 80w90????
My pcx 125 goes 50mph max and can hit on 150 meters, should i change gearing? And if yes what should i get ?pcx 125- 2017

Not same, most of the time is bearing issue.. gear hardly spoil
So it is on the final drive and not the smaller countershaft? I just changed my gearing from stock to 14t.
The countergear is fine..

Yesh, the stock setup max out its rev at 117.. the 14t helps increase the cvt working range..

I dont understand so can change countershaft 17t on my adv?
Usually people will put 17t.

Will I lose my starting acceleration when I switch my gearing to 17t?
Yes. I dont really recommend 17t or 18t.. unless with big bore..

Stock gearing are the best. You should never change them unless youre using big bore kit..

Does Pcx 150 change to adv final drive works better?
No.. usually we up the counter gear by 1 teeth..

Pulley depan.

Pulley aftermarket..
