Thanks for the great video! Made the job so much easier. One minor observation -- the bolts that come with the boards now take an 8mm hex wrench instead of the 9mm you mention in the video.
As a 'former' sciatic sufferer, I have a suggestion that stopped my pain in about three weeks! DO NOT sleep with your legs 'stacked' one on top of the other. Roll your top half slightly off 90 degrees and also roll your hips so your legs are NOT on top of the other. I received this hint from a 'celebrated' physical therapist as one of her top ten things to change; this one thing is what worked for me almost immediately. Some people place a pillow between their legs and roll a little to one side. It's hell getting older, I don't recommend it! Good luck and Good Rides.
Thanks for the video. I just bought the Commander Mini Hwy boards but really couldn't make heads or tails of the included instructions. Your video made it perfectly clear what I had to do. Congrats on getting your bike back.
I’m using Goldstrike’s Hwy Pegs and love them. Ton of adjustability with the Goldstrike’s allow them to be out of the way in the canyons. Show Crome looks like a nice product just be aware there are options with hwy pegs for the wing.
Cool Beans, these Show Chromes really compliment the machine and serve a useful purpose. I notice they are set out far enough to keep the lower leg from touching the engine covers. That's a very good thing,. Good install video Cruiseman.
I installed these pegs last Summer, along with the offsets and the engine trim. I am 6' with a 32" inseam. I never got the perfect angle or length with them. This video has reminded me to tinker with them this weekend and get the settings right.
I have not had enough seat time on my 2020 Goldwing to really tell if I have a problem with foot placement yet, but I've been wondering about these Commander foot boards. You guys may have just convinced me to get these anyway.
Nice installation video of the highway pegs. I am always in debate to have them on my GoldWing or not. I need to ride with one to decide if I need them.
Great video as usual. I wanted to buy these but went with Kuryakyns though I haven’t installed them yet. I love everything about how the Show Commander Boards mount to the engine guard except for how the actual boards look.. I think a larger upper portion & a smaller/thinner heel portion would’ve looked better..
Don you might consider sending your seat to Russell's day long sofas for a rebuild. They did mine and pushed the back of it almost 2 inches and raising it higher I think this would give you the ultimate for long rides
@@alt9874 it would be a guess on my part. I can tell you that the offset arms adds position versatility that you otherwise would not have, but they can also get you into trouble if you lower the pegs too much. Too low and the pegs can scrape in tight turns. Also, the right tipover bar is about 3/4 of an inch more forward than the left, so the right peg will have a little bit different adjustment for comfort than the left. That’s due to the right side pistons being offset from the left side pistons to allow all pistons to attach to the same crankshaft. You can understand why I can’t say for sure what would work for you but maybe knowing what I just told you will help you decide.
Ok. I am ready for highway boards. My question is: Will these work with the OEM lower air deflectors I have installed? I don't want the deflectors digging into my shins when I use the boards.
Chris - can you tell me what keeps the point when the bracket is attached to the crash bar from rolling downward when you put weight on the board. I see the three bolts that make it clamp but are they teethed on the inside that touches the crash bar to keep it from rolling down from its mounted point?
Hello CM! Thanks for the awesome video. I have a question about the nut with the silicone washer in it. Where does it belong? It fits into the board but the screw will not pass through it. Is it necessary with the use of thread lock? Thank you again CM
You should not need thread lock on a bolt going into a lock nut with the nylon. I am going from memory here, but I am not sure why the bolt will not go into the nut. Now, it is a very tight fit until you get the threads to start to dig into that nylon locker.
Great video. Please can you ask you friend to swap out the white grandpa Sox out for some darker ones? Things like this give the Goldwing the reputation of an old man only bike. Just sayin’.
any reason why you went with these vs the ones from goldstrike? I am looking at getting the goldstrikes for mine in the next couple of days and now am wondering if I shouldn't go this route instead.

Great video. Enjoy all the installs and reviews you do. Keep up the great work

I agree with you Sir ... Cruiseman, you are an inspiration . God Bless
Good job Cruiseman…..you are an inspiration….Cheers
They look good
Your a good man helping your friend!
He gets the item for free and put it on his friends bike to make money off the video.

Did you ever install the Kurakyns? If so how did it go and how do you like them? Thanks
Love your videos. Thank you.
Hey wait a Second ! At 12:27 we can see the pegs are already all scrapped up ! What gives Cruiseman?
Fantastic idea
Thank you Cruiseman! Thank You ShowChrome!

Hi Don, would you mind telling me your height, or inseam? I'm trying to judge from this video if I need the off-set arm like you, or not. Thanks, Al
@@alt9874 I’m about a quarter of an inch shy of six feet tall. Inseam is 32. Hope that helps.
@@mrdonsmith - Awesone Don, thanks. I'm 6'3" with 34 inseam... do you believe I should order the off-set arms?

Otiimo lavoro, spedite in Italia?
Who do I go through to get the trim piece for the engine guard opening.
How does it lean, I mean will they catch the ground before the foot pegs / board? Also how are they when you drop the wing?
2:45 looks like his fog lights need adjustment. I am wondering what happens if you dont use the offsets? Too close to engine?
It’s all about comfort.

He gets them free and in return he makes the installation video and gets paid.
Thanks Cruiseman. What height is your friend (or what's his inseam)? I'm trying to judge whether I need the off-set piece or not. Thanks.
My inseam is 32”. I’m slightly under 6’ tall. -Don
Il n y a pas trop de chaleur ??
maybe for him' but they look terrible
Hi CG, Can you please tell me what a Honda Goldwing DCT Tour “Ness” is ?
My understanding is that it's the very rare "Untouchable Edition" that was only offered in Chicago...
i dont want to be critical ? you could/should sell him some proper footware for SAFETY
