Funny that this song never made it big ... Been listening to country for a long time and not once any song made me feel the way this song does. So much meaning, So much truth and so much facts of life that we all wished we could fix. Cant wait to Big & Rich live again .
Big & Rich are lucky to get played at all on the radio.. NOT that they aren't good,but don't fit into present "mold" of what "Pop Country Radio" is playing... I've seen them a few times live and ALL great shows...
Hell, I was country DJ for decades and once this song came out.... it was the first or last song I "spun".
saw them last night with Gretchen Wilson, Cowboy Troy and Two foot Fred. these guys are American heroes! to the core!

Someone told me that no matter what I go through I come back just as strong and don't let it get to me. I tell people that the reason for this is that I give those things that I go through that could cut me off at the knees and knock me down to God and then just let them go. I'm Bi-polar and I've been through a lot. I was diagnosed as having chronic depression for over 10 years before I cycled. I also have chronic back pain and have had a knee replacement in October of 2021. But God is there with me no matter what and he holds me close and helps me make it through the rough Patches in this life. I'm going to be 58 in June of this year ( 2022). God bless All you.
I too have depression it's an old song but depression is more real now. I don't if they could play a bunch of depression songs in concert maybe they could bit people would be crying
It's ok Anita. You're doing good and our Father will never fail us. On any given week I live out this song, and that's sad, but I get to experience His glory more than most. Just keep waking up and say His prayer before you get going, hold on to Him all day, carry your cross and follow Him.
They should make this into a full length movie. THEN they'd have careers as actors and Country stars. And judging from this video, they certainly can act

I've mostly been into heavy metal, but Big and Rich have converted me to a lot of country music! Their voices together are amazing, and I can happily listen to every song they put out over and over again!
They were a total enigma 20 years ago when I was a kid who had a CMT addiction. They are even more of an enigma now. They found mainstream success and just tossed all the money up into the air to sing about Jesus and other worthy causes. They never gave a crap what anyone thought.

It's about being raised a good Christian, but exploring the wilder side of life and trying to balance that life with salvation. It's about realizing that you aren't perfect and that God's forgiveness is there if you ask for it and repent for the wrong you've done. None of us are perfect, and those that say they are are lying, and thus not perfect and are sinners just like the rest of us. Thus, we are ALL somewhere Between Raising Hell and Amazing Grace.

At times it does get tough. With my grandma in the hospital was really tough. When she got out of the hospital, it's been a blessing. It's still tough, because having to keep watching on her for 24/7. It's really time when all four of her children needs to get right together right now to put her in assisted living. It would be hard on her to get away from what she likes to do on schedule. But I agree with God being there all the time. The bible is really amazing. Even though it helps through tough times like this. We all need god. God is amazing.

Waiting for the restrictions to lift and for these two to have concerts again - have not enjoyed them yet but looking forward to the performance. I bet it will be grand!

I think many of us are 'between raising hell and amazing grace.' We are all born unto original sin, and that provokes temptation, which is difficult to resist sometimes. But, if we find our grace with our maker, and ask forgiveness contritely and sincerely, then it shall be granted.

Original sin means we can't follow our own conscience , because there are more things that are true than we can prove.
We are ALL born sinners. Even if you repent you're still a sinner, a forgiven sinner, but still a sinner. We all slip up. No one is perfect. Only Jesus was perfect and sinless.

Not only is the title and words like matching pieces to a puzzle of my life, but right down to the video and the roles that Big & Rich play in this video are also synonymous. Kind of supernatural when one can relate the way I do not just with this one but also most of their work.

In just sharing, I have been thru a situation recently at church where I left the congregation bc for years, and and I didnt know , there was a narcisist among us. Every time I stood up to a trouble maker, i was made out to be the bad guy. And the pastor defends these kinds of people. Yes I stood up for what is right for myself and my family and yet I am the troublemaker not the actual culprit.

This song describes my life to a tee!!! I was raised in a penicostal church but I strayed away when I turned 16. I put 50 plus hours in at work every week and raise hell every Friday and Saturday night but I’m stil in the pugh come Sunday morning no matter how bad the hangover is.
Jesus died for us long ago. So that we could have an eternal life of happiness. I know and I believe is the truth. But I hate feeling doubt about my salvation.

First time I ever saw these guys was at a free show in Allentown pa before they went big. It was awesome, even saw Cowboy troy too! Been a Fan ever since! They are my favorite country band. Glad to see them back!

Hey if anybody was sitting around watching CMT on new years eve some years ago, Big and Rich were hosting New Year's Eve party, getting a little on the liquored side, and having a great time. That was the first time I ever heard the song "Between Raising Hell and Amazing Grace". It was just Rich and Big on six string acoustic guitars, unplugged and singing from the soul. That performance of that song was absolutely stunning and sent chills down my spine. Anyone know where I could hear it?
