I wonder when if ever top corporate executives, current and former, would be found guilty of culpable homicide or manslaughter. And be put into prison with other criminals found guilty of similar charges not in a country club.
Why am I not surprised that since merging with Douglas, standards have fallen drastically! McDouglas was found to be buying parts on the black market, cutting corners and maintenance schedules were adjusted large scale, so parts weren't being replaced when they should've been after so many hours of flying time, instead were being kept in situe for as long as the part held out! I've watched so many plane crash videos and can't count how many of these crashes all came down to poor maintenance! Always, profit before people! When are the regulators going to be given more powers? You don't need to be scared of pilot error, you need to be scared of the company!
and that now-former CEO stood at that podium - IN FRONT OF THE WORLD - and BLAMED THOSE PILOTS .... and he KNEW BETTER! Last I checked, he now (again, the last time I checked) now heads a tractor manufacturing company - God Save the Farmers.
Lookup how the ATR (Automatic Throttle Restoration) sneaked in to the SAS (Scandinavian Air Service) MD80/90 plane and brought it down. And where's MdDD now?
The entire aerospace industry has a temp labor contract and kickback problem. It's corrupt. I watched my dad endure it for decades as an engineer. Now they don't even pay the pilots well.
Back in the 70s , McDonald Douglas covered up a manufacturing defect with the DC10 rear cargo door. Downed 2 planes and almost a third. Killed a lot more people, but didn't create half the stink that this Max issue has. Boeing's issue is management. The planes are still safer then Airbus in my opinion. Just don't fly on the Max. Automation , fly by wire and poor pilot training are the biggest problems. Pilots nowadays are to reliant on a planes automation to fly and aren't trained to fly the plane.
Capn / Chief pilot or which ever. India also has billion $ ceos which runs your Google's, Microsoft's and other engineering... just giving random nonsense without evidence doesn't help . shift the blame somewhere., the same what Boeing did blaming the pilots for crashes
My condolences to all the families and the victims. i know this didn't have to happen. I work in the Seattle Tacoma area and i see scapegoating all the time. in companies here. Washington state is corrupted.
My friend works as a Boeing pilot. And even he is on high alert when he is working a MAX machine. SO! Only airbus airliners from now on
Airbus... listen up. If you start building your planes using temp workers then you will be next too.

How come nobody's commenting on this? This is crazy ! They should do something about those planes!
They did finally. The 737 max were kept at ground for a significant time. And you are correct, it took much too long.
first country that took action was China USA was last country and only because of direct order of president
Luckily no one of my friends or family died on airplane crash
Don't book a ticket on a boeing. If it's bowing, I aint going.

It's no secret. Boeing values stockholders over passengers, bean counters over engineers.
"why haven't you resigned....?" LOL, of course not...why would he? That's the corporate culture, everywhere.....
In the animation of the mcas system/trim, the vertical stabilizer points in the wrong direction.
I aint going if its a boeing!
Never fly Boeing if you value your life.
So why cant they override the mcas?
The MCAS was a computer program that would not allow the Pilots to manually fly the plane.
Blame trump he told Boeing too listen too trump not FAA
The shareholder business model needs to go bye bye.
