Oh its very simple! At first they looked as if they were being bitten by dogs. Secondly, all the small dead-eyes were not positioned correctly, they should be in one row with the big ones. And thirdly, the smallest channels did not even have capping strips...

Nice job, but I am missing something. What was wrong with the original channels? The things themselves seem odd. They are presented as almost the largest single pieces of wood on that ship.
