I have all the pumps. Injectors. And terminator x or binary editor on Shelf. I wanted to test the actual Ecu factory with new tech old school way. Just to see what it does.
That’s awesome bro. Gives people an idea of what to expect if they can’t buy a stand-alone after dropping the money on a turbo kit ect. You gotta make a ride along of you’re pops reaction to the car once you get her dialed.
I hope to get my gt40 3 bar heads and intake on my aod fox pretty soon and see what I can get out of her in an 1/8th. I love to see these videos because its not really about just having a fast car its about looking back where you came from and what you have done to make your car better. Im 45 and never had the car or the money to play around with back in the day so Im gonna do it now! Lol
Looking forward to more FP! Look forward to see what clutch you go with. Hopefully mine will be out of jack stand jail soon. Looking forward to my first 5.0 turbo car. I am a little worried about putting too much clutch in it. Some say a slipping clutch saves the T5.
This is great to see! Im about to do a head and cam swap on my ‘87. I just had a friend give me some “Brodix BP ST 5.0 R Series Cylinder Heads CNC Ported” and was wondering how these would fare on a SD car? So far my 87 Notch has a 306 with mods that include Intake, BBK 70mm Spacer and TB,BBK long tubes,BBK Off Road Cats with X pipe to stainless piping with Borla XR-1’s. Currently running some crap E7 heads that don’t breath for anything and the car still did 251hp and 321tq. Now what I wanna know is how SD would do with a Crower 15511 or a Steeda #19 cam(both are SD LSA friendly) and those new heads added? Has 19 pound injectors too but they are not explorer ☹️
Having a blast with the dyno guys there - gotta love it. Same age as you Dan - remember the early days of Fox body fun. Enjoyed them a lot and then married with 4 children lol. But I’ve got my 93 and love every bit of it. I’m just the other side of Lake Erie from you actually right off Lake St Clair. Curious to know how you got into all this - come from a mechanic/automotive family or just curious and like to tinker?
@@Neomustangs Can't you explain why it is so "difficult" to tune the stock SD DA1? A clapped out pump gas turbo 4.8 auto with a stock P01, 2 bar cos SD tune would be laying down 550-600 whp. Now that's worth it, with no split block or torn up T5. Running out of reasons to stay 302 sbf. Oh, I forgot the junk LS would get kicked out for going 9's!
Does it have the 10-inch clutch or the 10 n 1/2 clutch? The initial timing is 10 degree's and i think total timing is 32 to 34 degrees but not for sure. Not bad at all for having fuel n clutch problem's. kept up the good work!
What is your thought on providing more fuel to get that mixture a bit fatter? Bigger injector with the fmu spacer dialed in? Kick that fuel pressure up with an FPR? I don't think people realize how effective of a tool the dyno is. So many guys think it's just for measuring HP. There's a lot of info that comes from being able to run a car through its paces with you standing right next to it assessing the data.
I hope you get this message bro my driver side valve cover breather is one of those solid Chrome with foam inside but has little holes around the bottom of it the underside of it can I drill holes in that so it will breathe like a regular breather one like we got on our cars
Hey Dan, I run the same combo, 3 bar heads, Explorer intake, stock cam, makes 555hp and 625tq to the wheels with WMI. 👍 My question is: I was told that 110 race gas is leaded and will hurt the O2 sensor(s) with usage. What’s your experience/opinions on this?
i have used cam-2 race gas 112 which is leaded and no problems 2 years with turbo and 1000cc FIC injectors i also mix it somtimes with 93 octane, yes keep an eye on 02 sensor it depends what brand you buy.
@@aaronliddell4280 so how did it work out? was it a daily driver or just a weekend toy? Lead was said to coat the cat cons and I suspect coats oxy sensors too on daily drivers. but then again, new gas that says, "lead" really ain't.
@@alertgasper it’s just a weekend toy. I upgraded the O2 to the E85 compatible one for my Holley EFI. I think it’s made by NGK if I remember right. No issues as of yet with it. But it only sees about 1000 miles/year.
Neo would you be interested in a trade. Aeromotive A-1,000 fuel pump! and maybe some bigger fuel injector’s? McLeod RXT twin disc! She would be set up to party 🎊.

AutoFox5.0. I'm interested to know how the AOD fox performs once you change the heads and intake. Probably should change the cam too.
Same here man. 43 and I'm really enjoying the learn as you go process.
