I think even though pep knows how good KDB is he has always been planning to build around foden. He tested him especially moments when he had little to no game time
In Pep's team players really develop. Foden developed under Pep's management, he made Foden so versatile he will get a chance in the team let it be Man city or England as he can play in so many position and he is good in all of them.
I always said foden will become a tremendous player he is already fantastic but i predict a complete beast

He claims to have had one decent conversation with Mourinho, he asked why he didn't play as often...M took a piece of paper and read the stats of the players that were playing in his position. When he replied that those players played 10 more games than him, he just laughed. That is supposed to be a top coach?
Mourinho is terrible at developing young players. Seriously, really bad.
His ego is too big. He thinks of himself as a Picasso, and only wants to coach already "complete" players.
He views development as something to be done by assistant coaches and second tier clubs.
