Beautiful People! Welcome to the Football Records. We are currently working towards building almost mini docs on the channel. Next few weeks we will aim to get even deeper with the storyelling & key moments along the way. We appreciate all of you that are here early for the journey. #StayBeautiful
I honestly feel that people underrate city's ability to develop young players (even though they never normally manage to keep them), lots of promising talents come from there and somewho are rlly succeeding or have real potential and its almost like every second player. Like Kabore, Herrera (doing well at girona rn), Pedro Porro, Itakura, Ferran Torres and Eric Garcia to name a few
Yeah, almost a catch 22, if it’s in more recent era after Man City has had the funds so few can actually make it into lineups quickly with the youth. & beforehand when City was more mid table… lot of the promising young talent wanted to make moves to a larger club or for european competitions
@@TheFootballRecords Thats true but im kind of focusing even about recent times, I know there are other that obviously would have left to join giants like man united and liverpool at the time, but even now I can think of so many great talents like the ones I mentioned above and see the in Man city's departures in the transfermarkt
Sturridge wasn't really a forgotten City man. He was insanely highly rated there. He was seen as one of the top young players in Europe. There was a little bit of uproar when he signed for Chelsea because he was a bosman and City wanted like a record amount of compensation for him. Then he wasted his years at Chelsea before finally looking like the world class striker he was meant to be at Liverpool and then the injuries finished him.
I hear you, I think if we polled the masses most would not think of Sturridge & remember his time at City. Just my opinion though Idk, if I would go as far as “extremely high rated”… but without a doubt had potential & a buzz around the next steps for his career
@TheFootballRecords no no, no, you are wrong here, Sturridge was HIIIIIGHLY rated whilst at City, the hype around him was insane. City really didn't want him to leave, and tried hard to get him to stay.
Well, part of the challenge for City / Bayern is their first teams are so talented... they often can't find placements to develop talent while giving prime minutes to grow the athletes unless the athletes are already at elite levels n their teens / early 20s
@@TheFootballRecords my man! I know it’s been very rough but I’ve been a blue since I was born I had no choice because of my dad 😂sending love from the blue side of Liverpool
Well, we try to focus on "forgotten" or "under the radar"... I think everyone knows Cole Palmer came from Man City's academy & it's super super recent with the move to Chelsea

Jaden Sancho and Phill Foden to Brahim Diaz and Jermey Frimpong to now Rico Lewis and Cole Palmer.
When he was at city I said to everyone that palmer would be great (Not as good as he is now) bot now no-one remembers .
He's back and Better than ever!

8:08 Huve, my favourite club. But jokes aside I'm pretty sure J in Italian makes a Y sound instead of H. It's more like Yuve.
Aleix garcia of girona
Good video but just a bit of advice, I’d double check the names of the time stamps as not all are correct…
I don't really know how to explain it but it wouldn't surprise me if Olise ever moved to Juventus
he's likely to be on the move somewhere imo
City is similar to bayern munich. Bayern has a lot of talents scattered in germany and europe. Good academie, poor structure
