"Planet of the Ood"'s genius was in taking Series 2's most terrifying creatures, among the horror further, reframing them first as victims, and finally as a sacred people in a state of spiritual grace. Ingenious!
Even if Doctor Who had a small budget set by the BBC, it gave us some pretty incredible futuristic scenes 26:14 That looks like they used Uskmouth Power Station, Newport, Wales for filming
Something I loved about the time vortex from the Eccleston and Tennant era was that if the vortex was red it meant the TARDIS was traveling forwards in time and the same was true for the opposite effect if it was blue. Just a little detail that I miss from the relatively bland versions we've gotten in recent years.
I absolutely loved the Satellite V/New Earth stories...following that time and era gave the stories intigue and stakes and warmth that peaked with Gridlock. Wonderful!
I've really come around on Kill the Moon recently. At first I thought it was lame. But since then I came to love strange sci fi concepts. The moon being an egg is one of those.
the cybermen's first appearance in the new series of Doctor Who was when the 9th found a head on display in the underground museum of Van Statten. Which is when he told Rose they were an old enemy. To me, this implied that he had defeated them once and for all, (or so he thought) question is, when was the last time The Doctor had fought them and defeated them in the old series?
Kinda amusing when #4 and Harry come across the repository in "Ark in Space" with the 'complete record' wall of microfilm since these days all that info can be put on a single two-inch thumb drive with room to spare. I always enjoy watching our "old" future. Cheers....
I thought Martha was bright and a good companion. I know this will be unpopular but I felt Rose was too immature. Initially, I liked Donna but her abrasiveness became tiring. Just my opinion as you are welcome to yours. Thank you for this video.
The Doctor does love the human species! Though they feel like they could sometimes throttle whichever one is closer, still, isn't that sometimes what love is? Isn't that sometimes what a parent wants to do with a recalcitrant child, for that matter? I know, having raised two sons to adulthood, that I can vouch for that feeling. 😆 Fantastic collection you've put together, here! Very dramatic, very emotional!
Watching Dr Who over the decades just shows how the world actually changes and conspiracy theories are hysterical XD Lizard people of middle earth is my favourite. Dr Who so far ahead of reality XD
What season or episodes is the one where some lady isolates a gateway/portal by building a sky scrapper around it. Apparently the portal was in the sky and the lady builds a building to occupy the area around the portal in order to try and breach said portal? I remember watching it so long ago, and vague memories of it for I didn't really watch dr who, but one night with nothing else on tv I scrolled to it and watched it and found it interesting and good, but cant recall much.
I would like to see the alien race called the Ood, reappear in the (DOCTOR WHO) show series, and I would like to see a new form of them as well if it might be possible to do.
Ironic for a show that seems to be stuck in 2005 right now. Also your really having the first clip be from one of the worst episodes in all of doctor who?
Please could you add a list of series and episodes as I don’t remember watching the episode that was the last one played please reply via my Facebook messenger or even in this comments
Hi Steven! The last episode is actually a (spoiler?) two-parter from Series 6 [Eleventh Doctor] with episodes called “The Rebel Flesh” and “The Almost People”. I’ve been rewatching NuWho and it seems the releases are synchronized with me in some odd way that the last episode featured in the compilation is the last episode I rewatched.

they actually did the same thing with smith's bow-tie, if the episode was in the future it was red, past was blue

Okay, I’m seeing you’re doing a pattern with those videos. First it’s the Parallel Worlds now it’s Into the Future. I wonder what will be next?

Hey BBC! Release 'Torchwood: Absent Friends'
Love these type of videos they're releasing!
I keep forgetting how very good, absolutely bright and beautiful Martha Jones is.
literally the worst companion after yasmin and clara,
@SoullessKuriboh Worse companion afterwards??? Come on she was great. You can do much worse!

The best thing about stories set in the future is that it might not happen like that.
me watching the 2012 London Olympics and seeing some random guy carrying the torch instead of the Doctor 😔😔😔

17:28 so was Moffat already thinking on the Doctor's name being a promise?
if a Time Lord is made via exposure from the Time Vortex or something like that, than what was time lord DNA like before the genetic mutation?

Gutted they missed out the waters of mars!!!
As ham fisted as Oxygen can come across, it does make one excellent point. You can always beat people at their own game, if you are smart enough.
Wow love doctor who dramas i think every year uk should make a doctor who movie now that would be nice 👍👍👍🔥🔥🔥

Season 2 was the best of new who imo
Series* 2; Season 2 wasn’t part of New Who at all.
@@DrWhoFanJ season and series are completely interchangeable, season is more of an Americanism tho
@@TheOldBlackShuckyDog Not for _Doctor Who,_ they’re not. Season 2 is 1964-1965; Series 2 is 2006. That’s a 41-42-year difference!

Are there new episodes out?
Hello
Hi
Hello Richard moyler David Tennant doctor who BBC iPlayer 7 click 30 PM now leaauing doctor who netflix week Sunday now
I have to say that the Davison era is almost as bad as the Whitaker era
It has some of the highest highs and some of the lowest lows of the series.
The Chibnall era combines the errors of both the 5th and 6th eras.
The “new earth” stuff is to scary for me
I’m a tough guy but I don’t like some of the scary stuff and I’ve seen every episode
Just Snipets from previous episodes. Dr Who franchise is too valuable to give much for Free. Disney is buying. Oods are cool.
classic WHO is way more fun to watch
哈哈
"The moon is an egg" was the worst doctor who story ever imo
Just because of that or are there more reasons?
