I signed up but heard nothing for just 1 week. So, what I did was email the right department and in about 150 words, explained how great I was and that I loved making people happy and some of my jobs. 2 days later I received a "YOUR HIRED" email and welcome pack in route. So basically, it took about 10 days. I'm so HAPPY!

Don't put yourself on the schedule unless you are awake, so you don't miss orders. Also It's going to show all zones in the open order screen, not just which ones you selected, that's normal. I like it because you can see what's orders are available for the whole city. Don't worry about the time estimates, its just an estimate to give you an idea. I usually don't look at it. Just think about how many items and how far the delivery is and estimate how early to start. Don't deliver late if possible because it affects stats, so start early. If its a promo yes it's ok if you are late. Tips can come through way after, I've gotten tipped a month + after doing the order. I've been a Shipter for almost a year and a half and love it!!! I'm pretty new to instacart though, just started recently. I love your videos/channel and fb group, & your personality is awesome! You are soooo helpful! Keep on shinin 😊

I’m a hairdresser from Denver and retired in Az and couldn’t fly home to my clients and income, my bestie from high school is a fashion designer in Portland. For future reference always ask a team member to scan something that will make sure the accuracy is in line for your customer never guess or take the cust word for it prices change all the time

Read your shopper hub. Put yourself on the schedule, they will deactivate you if you just take promos. Do not go by the shopping times, it will mess you up! 😂. Take yourself off the schedule for the next hour if you need more time. Good luck. 🍀
I've been taking only promos for 3 months straight no problem. Besides non promo orders aren't worth doing I will see 11$ orders and I gotta drive 10 miles and go through a 1.90 toll haha

I watched a couple of videos,on what it takes,to become a very good Shipt shopper.
And I just went on their app,and notices several orders are diffrent paid,wow.I think,I'm going to love this job,since I'm always shopping for myself in stores.

The scanner is just to confirm the barcode. But if you found the item, you can scan whatever and it bypasses that
The zones you choose only affect the orders that are offered to you!! You can pick up available open orders throughout any zone in the metro. The schedule is just to help you choose the times you want to work and the area you would prefer to shop in.
Also the shop start time is just the suggested time they think you should begin the shop. They base is on the estimated shopping time. You can obviously start shopping whenever, but it helps you plan a good time to get to the store

I’m just getting started on SHIPT and there was a lot of training for me to look through before I went out on my first shopping trip. Did no one point you to any of the training? Some of the things you’re talking about makes it evident that you never saw any of the training. If you’re still shopping for SHIPT, and you are still trying to figure some things out, go to the shoppers hub. It’s so full of information. And the Shipt website recommended I join the Facebook group for the whole site and for my metro region. All of those resources are immensely helpful.

That was a pre paid Target order you did. Tip: next time leave the lettuce til last on your list, let it get scanned first during checkout then you can have the correct price. That or take pics of the out of stock items (send to customer) and then you can see the price once you’ve walked off.

Congrats! I'm on the Shipt wait list. I'm praying to hear from them soon. I do Instacart but my area has a major bot issue. So getting orders is a mission sometimes. Thanks for all the videos. They are extremely helpful.
I applied for Shipt june 28th. Just got the text and email yesterday that theyre moving forward, had to download app & proceed with back ground check which literally came back in like 2 mins, now just waiting for card.

Hey future Stephanie. It will say promo for an order and the amount. Tips are like bonuses when they trickle in. Start small then move up to the bigger order. I just started with shipt. I have done a few orders so far. I do doordash also. I am going to do both opposite of each other. The customer can tip afterwards like postmates.
It’s hard for me to look at tips that way. It’s a service and we do count on them.
I’ve been doing doordash too, honestly though, it’s not that great of a pay out. People just don’t tip in my area lol. I end up having to deny like half my orders because they’re like the base rate $3-4 for like a 12 mile or so drive...How’s shipt so far? Which would you say is the better app? Obviously I’d run both too, but just to choose one, which makes you more $$$?
Hi Steph How did you get. The app to bring up by isle when sorting items all I see is category which sometimes makes it much harder in planning route

Wow, your payout is sooo much higher than my area! Most orders pay under $10 here in Charlotte, NC

You can only shop by isle at certain stores. It kinda sucks by a lot. Zones only matter while you are on the schedule. Open metro orders will show orders for all zones. You can also change your area to see open orders in any zone or metro across the United states. The shop time is their estimated start time. To deliver in the window the customer chose.

Seems like there is an adaptability curve in getting used to these shopping companies. Not just a matter of going into the store with a list. Sounds like some hunting and switching of products if necessary. More than a shopper..Like a store rep helping them all the way.

One year I had to deliver with no AC...in PHOENIX, AZ!!!! You know what I did...1. I left the house after making my shirt wet with cold water...2. I kept rags/short towels with me in a cooler with ice water. Throughout the day I did not deliver during the hottest part of the day and also, I wet my shirt in bathrooms when they were private...yup...and it worked...I know it's getting cooler now but if your in that situation again...just some helpful tips (and of course, for anyone else.) It was time consuming but worth it!
I just started Shipt in NM because uber eats has been sucking bad. Here, Shipt seems okay. Today was my first day only 4 rides and my first one I made a rookie mistake...geesh! Anyway, I'm going to be visiting my family in Aurora over the next few weeks so I really appreciate your video. If you have any specific tips like where not to add my zones to so I'm not driving all over the damn place, I'd really appreciate.

Certainly better than instacart but the frustrating part is when the store has out of stocks and you tell the customer then they act completely asinine, angry and rude. My advice is take a lot of pics of the shelves so they can SEE for themselves that the product is out and its NOT your fault

King soopers and Safeway is much closer to how instacart works but isle numbers are still a struggle...some target orders are closer to the way instacart works but if the order says “prepaid” that’s when you go to guest service
Also zones only matter with scheduling...
I did one that was through Postmates. It was a Walmart shopping where they brought it to the car. Never EVER take one of those if you have a Mustang. I was glad she was able to fit everything in the trunk. They tipped great though.

Open metro orders give you all of them and your schedule is just selected
When you deliver the groceries, do you have to take them in for the customer or do you just leave it at the front door?
32dreamgirl at the front door, I’ve never seen a customers face lol, they always choose contactless delivery which is fine with me👍🏻

How much driving was there? $22/hr-expenses seems like a marginal gain depending on gas and maintenance costs.

I just have a question because I do instacart and FINALLY got accepted to shipt. Am I aloud to use both at the same time. Not like 2 orders at once but let’s say there’s nothing on IC can I go over to Shipt and pick one because I know Shipt says I have to make a schedule so do I say like 12-5 so basically I can only work shipt 12-5? Idk if that makes sense but I know with IC I can just bring up the app whenever and take an order and end whenever.

I started Shipt back in April. I used to be offered 20+ orders a day but suddenly I stopped receiving offers. I will be on the schedule for 6+ hours in 7+ different zones and not receive anything. I don’t know what happened; I have a 5 star rating and am on time but it’s now been 2 months and nothing has changed. Not a single offer.

Happy 10K subscribers! I’ve applied 3 times for Shipt and got denied every time. I don’t get it cuz I’ve been a 5 star shopper on Instacart for a year now. Oh well. Cool video though.
They probably do not give preference to IC shoppers. IC kind of has a bad name.
Shipt is so much better than instacart in my area. You don’t necessary have to put yourself on the schedule, but ina e found I get better offers when I’m on the schedule. Member matching is a plus as well, but you have to be in the schedule in order for that to occur.
I will try the schedule. It’s intimidating to me for some reason.
Steph On The Pedal it was for me at first too, but put yourself on for like two or three hours and accept the order, but make sure to take yourself off for that hour. Also for you working a bigger metro, you’ll get first pick from being on the schedule. Personally, I feel the clientele is better with Shipt to where my earnings are much better than instacart.

I pick a category by what Isle I'm near once I enter a store usually produce is first entering a store...Whatever isle is right there I see if I have that category to shop and continue this concept throughout the store...frozen should always be last..this way you're not running around back and forth like a chicken with your head cut off...lol
My first day was12/8/20...I chose 2 shops...should have did 1...lol
One was on time second was late too much distance between them and the unexpected learning curve using the app in the store...way more than I expected with substitutes and customer communication...tips are now shown on the app after delivery same day
I made $75...3hrs time.
Not bad but I'm definitely moving slower until my actual shopping speed increases ..and my zones have been greatly reduced for convience for now...

Not dissing you. Honest question. Why didn't you check out some youtube videos on Shipt before starting? I've checked out UA-cam videos on each of the gig jobs I've accepted before I've started to give myself an idea of how it works. Was it because you've done instacart and thought it was the same? I'm not on shipt so haven't looked for videos... maybe there aren't any? Sounds like you had a stressful first day. Bummer.
I try not to watch a lot of other gig videos because I feel like it influences my videos. I did join Shipt's Facebook group and I also looked over their training materials in the app. There is a lot of information to absorb. This video is intended to show you my experience. It's not meant to teach you how to be a Shipt shopper. With that being said, I earned over $20 per hour so I think I did pretty alright.

I have a friend who's been doing Shipt for a couple years. She likes it but she's a little concerned because they plan on changing the pay structure.
The pay structure changed in Denver. I started out with that pay but I have heard it’s worse. It’s a shame.

No way! That’s terrible. I show how to do it at 13:10. It’s under the shopping list and you sort by category. Maybe you only have the option for target. Not sure. 🤷♀️

No, I was waitlisted for about 3 months. You cannot study the app before your approved.

Im here because im always ordering from target and i want to know what the shipt driver does because i feel a sense of laziness on my behalf but its w job for someone else so i guess is not that bad i hate feeling like a lazy person i do have a small child who hates being in stores and its also cold to take him out every time we need snacks which is a lot !! We are always home 😭😭
