Honestly, this and Mission 23 are one of the hardest missions ever in racing games. Hell, the entire 1 lap magic thing takes skill to do. One small mistake and you’re done.
So I got a PlayStation 2 around 2008/2009 with a copy of Gran Turismo 4. Since then, my parents never bought me another game, and I didn't have the memory card but you can bet I spend days playing that game, I learned the tracks, the cars, everything. This game will forever be my favorite racing game ever.
Yep, I agree with this. The graphics were great for PS2, but the handling holds up today. I've driven worse modern sims than this. It's also the only sim I've ever driven that has gotten the difficulty balance PERFECTLY right. There are elements of the game which are accessible, and others which are extremely difficult even for seasoned veterans. The outrageously high number of cars, the sense of humour that the game is garnished with, the music, the fact that there are exploits, but that even they require effort. I have never, ever gotten bored with it. The only minus is races only have 6 cars. I don't personally see no damage as a problem. But those are minor details compared to how good the plus points are and the fact it came out 16 years ago!
What? The sim driving aspect isn't that great and there is no difficulty balance. You can race a 787b against a Nissan Micra and the only downside is useless A-spec points. And a lot of the driving tests are tedious, pointless, bullshit. Try Enthusia.

@@badtuber1654 The feel of progression in the Gran Turismo series is light years better, and that is coming from someone who loves both and has for years. You can be driving one of the fastest cars in the game on Forza within one day. Also gran turismo was really neat for all the details it gave you about particular cars, Forza started to do that with FM6 with the Forza vista narratives, but they stopped doing it, and it was only on certain cars. That gave FM6 a lot of charm, same thing with the drivatars you could train in FM4 I believe. That was a really neat thing that added in a lot of charm to the game, and may be one of the many reasons people to this day still claim it as the best one. FM7 did away with two very good systems that gave it a lot of charm and lure, without adding in anything better to replace them, and buried it into the ground. So I understand why a lot of people knock on it nowadays. I understand how much time and effort it would take to have a detailed narrative explanation of every car while viewing it inside and out, especially with a list of 500 or more, but that is part of the charm, and showed the devs were actually passionate about the shit they were trying to sell you, just like you are actually passionate enough to enjoy those kind of things in the first place. So when they take it out without replacing it with anything better, and pretend like it never existed, its pretty fucking annoying, and makes you lose faith within those devs. BTW, im not sure if it was FM6 that had the narratives of information on the cars while in Forza vista, or if it was FM5, it has been awhile since I have played either. Also, im not sure if Gran turismo even still adds in a long list of detailed info on cars are not either, because I have not played one since GT 5, and I don't even remember now, for all I know, they both got lazy with that aspect and just assumed anyone and everyone could or would use google if they wanted to know more about a particular car, but im guessing Gran Turismo at least still adds something in on their history where Forza seemed to have abandoned it all together, not in the form of narratives, or even text like GT does, and that is simply pure, non passionate, laziness on their part. So with all that said about FM in its current state, and knowing how much charm and passion it had there for a good while, it begs the question, why should I love and be passionate about your game if your not, and don't even want to put any kind of charm and passion into it yourself? Now don't get me wrong, they are still fun to play, but you got to admit, if you look back on how it use to be, you can definitely tell they started getting lazy and careless with them, and started loosing a lot of the charm that made them great in the first place, now to me they are simply *good* or *good enough*, but not *great* or *fantastic* like they use to be.
@@dboy2258 I Played all gts from Ps1, ps2, and played just one hour gt5 on ps3, they allways felt like arcade games. Forza I played endless hours of Forza 2 and Forza 5 . And they never felt arcadish to me you can even feel the tires break vibrating on xbox one triggers controlers, you got the ToP gear guys making narratives for the game. the cars response to the tunings is absolutley fantastic, you got all the tracks with excelent detail , the engine sounds sound amazing... I was in the 10th grade when this game came out. This was one of the first things, if not the first, that I bought from Amazon at a time when most people did not buy things online at all. I remember it feeling like the future had arrived. I'm not sure I can explain how crazy all this was to someone who wasn't alive back then.
Beautiful explained. You hit the nail on the head with how GT4 and the older racing games had Soul put into it and had great UI to boot. The one thing I would like to add as why these games are great is the progression. You couldn't get your hands on a Super or Race car until you are several hours in (or if you exploid a certain event here). You had to work for your dream cars. But when you finally got your hands on your dream it is a magical moment. I know how I felt when I finally got the Toyota GT-One Race Car for my garage, it felt amazing. How are the car restrictions in GT4? I know it was pretty loose in GT2 and thus you could bring a LeMans Gt1 to a American Muscle Car race which felt pretty unfair.
The restrictions are tighter as far as I know but there's still nothing stopping you from cramming stupid amounts of power into an Evo and turning the game into baby easy mode
You can put sport tires on a Mazda 787 and go into beginner MR event. Which I like, basically it gives you an option to have a good race if you bring a somewhat normal car, or you can bring something way overpowered to complete it as easy and quickly as possible.
The lack of big car brands mentioned (Ferrari/Lamborghini/Porsche) doesn't really bother me at all. Gran Turismo had made me learn, explore, and respect cars from other brands until I think how overrated those big car brands are.
Yeah, that's actually a logical fallacy; because you couldn't drive those cars, you couldn't directly compare them in game - so believing they are overrated despite having never actually found out for sure is an appeal to ignorance. Sorry..
@@kurtiskohlman6432 oof. That says more about you than it does about me. I put no effort into that comment. I think you're the one who missed the mark: claiming certain brands are overrated without actually knowing if they are is an erroneous claim. The fact is, GT4 would've been far better if it had Porsche, Ferrari etc, because then you COULD compare them with all the other brands GT does have.
@@Eatinbritches Nah, you're being overly verbose and nitpicky because someone doesn't care about Ferraris and had a great time playing a video game. Out here with your highly folded brain pointing out "logical fallacies" in a passing comment about a 20 year old racing game. Big oof my dude

Don't forget B-Spec mode. That stuff was great. I used to set my drivatar up for a Endurance race in the morning so I came home from school to a ton of cash.
Grand Turismo 4 has alot of passion like you said. I have many hours in this game and I feel passion even in the creation of the menu, in the garage, in the care and details in the sound, storage options and even in the countries and the variety of brands and their models of several years.
the revival is an actual thing and i'm happy for it. my childhood was basically afternoons and mornings of playing GT4 with my dad, so i'm happy that someone is putting in the effort to actually bring it back with gameplay and instructions on how to get it running.
I was 5 when this game came out. I took ages in the nurburgring trying to complete the A license with the 190e, got to a point I knew the entire track by heart.
@@ayesse96 Even with racing tyres it is a lot hard to control the SLR (especially with the controller) as it is a FR drive train and given the fact that it is also long for the narrower roads of Nürburgring Nordschleife it twitched a lot.
The worst problem with the SLR is how heavy it is , and without the racing tyres it handles like a boat , I've beaten mission 34 twice on a controller, but man it wasn't easy
While talking about the AI you forgot to mention that it seems like the slower AI cars will hold up the human player so that the fast AI can get away clean then as the human you have to catch them from way behind.
To look back after over 15 years after this game was released it is a blessing indeed. I literally played that game until my disc wouldn't work anymore.
I played this game when it was new, it really set my passion for driving as a whole. I'd definitely argue that it is a fantastic game that has held up to the test of time and was a major influential game for those who played it. I still wish I could play it, I keep my copy of it like it's my most prized possession, unfortunately my PS2 went the way of the dodo so I can't play it anymore and refuse to get an emulator to play it, this game needs to be played in all its glory, not neutered by a emulator that despite being run on a machine that could run a million PS2 games at once, can't seem to run 1 decently.
I remember when it came out. I couldn't wait. I ordered it from Japan and was constantly checking the tracking. When the time came, I decided to run out drive to the other side of the city to get my first wheel. I think it was a gt driving force pro PS2 wheel. I picked it up and got home. Started opening the box when the courier arrived with gt4. Twas a good day.
I loved that game to the bottom... The 48h Races that me and my father keep switching on turns to complete (we didnt know about the B-Spec), the damn near-impossible missions... Everything was good and gold
I couldnt agree more mr purple, 👏 from grinding at licenses to make sure you get everything in gold , to unlocking unknown cars , to doing a simple oil change, the soul of Gt4 will always live on, and the fact that they had a r35 GTR and r8 concept is mind blowing , and you could actually feel understeer for a change , i wish the next generation of developers would revisit the basics of what makes a game enjoyable
Gran turismo 4 lives rent free on my soul, all thoose afternoons playing with my father, thoose laughts when you loose on the driver license tracks and the weird music started playing. Great great video man, really enjoyed it
My aunt got me a copy back on my 4th birthday in 2005, the game is still going great without the fatal red clock. (Edit: As an onwer of a Driving Force Pro was indeed one of the first 900 degree wheels with a close release to the G25, its a VERY solid wheel)
Wow you were a lucky little kid, I’m your age but didn’t get my first console and game until 2011 with halo reach. Didn’t get to play in my child hood, but now I can run it on a pc with an emulator so I can experience what I missed finally.
Yep, I was privileged enough to have it as one of the first ever ps2 games I bought, it blew me away, because the previous car game I played was Need for speed high stakes of ps1, just the intro blew my mind.
At the time, this game's graphics was incredible. Even stacked against PC games released that year, like Half Life 2, Far Cry and Doom 3. It was one of very few titles that could be displayed natively in 1080i on the PS2. The gameplay was phenomenal, and the content was top notch. Even to this day, there are few racing games that offers the same amount of cars and tracks ON DAY ONE! (looking at you Forza). It still holds its own quite well, even to this day.
Yes... GT4 will always be special to me. I still remember how blown away I was by the graphics of the time when I would watch my uncle play it. So much so that I went to EB Games (before they got bought out by Gamestop) and got it. I spent many an hour after school playing it, and later before I would go to work in the morning. 5, 6, and Sport just don't capture that special feeling that 4 had. I even bought a special adapter for my PS2 so I can play it on modern TVs. The only thing is the blurry picture. Is there a way to play GT4 in HD?
I played GT4 for 6 YEARS! And I was still getting better and finding new tricks on it or finding ways to get more A Spec points. I still think it's the best nurburgring representation and it will always be my all time favourite no matter what Forza does or anything else. I just never got bored of GT4 and love it to this day. Bury me with a copy!
I don't remember how many hours, days or weeks I've played this game. It's still my favorite racing game today. I hope GT7 will bring back this kind of content and pleasure.
I went on holiday on an island I go to every summer. I have a PS2 there, where I spent most of my time when I was little. Among the games I played was GT4, so naturally I wanted to check my 10 year old save file again Imagine my shock and disappointment when I realise that the disc was not working.
the car selection is unmatched perfect blend of modern and classic unfortunate that some newer stuff is left out, but all of the weird old stuff that is there and hasn't been seen since is more than worth it imo
Bro, there was just something magical happening in games around this time, you just had to be alive then to experience them (Sigh) Gt4, San Andreas, nascar 2004, NFS most wanted, Simpsons hit n run, vice city, the list goes on....... We hit a blessed pinnacle in playability, and memorability. There's a reason these old game will never be forgotten🥺🥺
I am a total gran turismo fan and have every game that PD did in this series. I have a lot of love for this game and I personally think it has some of the best tracks of the entire series. The amount of hours I played this game must be huge. Great video, thanks, happy memories of this. Remember the really long test track with all the different types of corners on it? That was brilliant.
Played this for hours after middle school with my best friend. We still talk about it to this day. Epic memories. Now I’ve gotta buy a PS2 or download the emulator cause I miss it, despite having GT7! GT4 really was the holy grail of this epic series!
I have been emulating Gran Turismo (PSP) on my phone for quite a while now and I will say that it is the best racing game for mobile. It is literally GT4 but in your pocket.
I used to have a PS Vita that had GT-PSP for it and I played it till I have the PD-F1car, took a while but it was... Not worth it honestly. But funny enough I learned how to drive the Nurburgring nordschleife fully with all golden trophies! Playing without any assist was hard but it made me care about set-up's, Engine/Drivetrain layouts and weight a lot more! It's sad that the game didn't came with GT mode, if it did then that would be my ONLY reason to keep my PS Vita!
@@haaxxx9 Honestly I have never used the assists since they take away a lot of fun. And making money for the cars isn't that hard if you have an AWD and know how to drift on snow.
I passed this entire game twice in my teens. Bought a ps2 a few months ago with all first 4 GT games and im in the process of passing both gt3 and gt4. Im about 65% on both but I do have to agree that gt4 is the shitnizz.
First time GT player (literally just bought GT4 last weekend) and could use suggestions on how to get good. I've got apex and out in out driving lines down but would love even more tips from someone that has beaten GT4 twice.
So random, started playing it again just a few days before this video came out. I had been playing FM7 for a couple of months and now I can't force myself to play it anymore, it's all about GT4, man.
Such a great video. Prefectly sums up the greatness of this game. The GT series was made by car enthusiasts, for car enthusiasts, which explains a lot of the content and attention to detail.
Finally someone said it. That big gaping hole in my heart for racing games... it's this game and the inconvenient fact that nothing since has even come close to it.
Amazing, this is game is truly special to my heart and it makes me so happy to hear someone else tout its magnificence! BTW, this game has one of the most epic intros ever to exist, that choir gives me chills every time!
Well, i think that gt4 had few ux mistakes. Like you choose manufacturer on the list and to read it's bio you need to read kinda fast ;) it were designed better in gt2 with "splash" screen of manufacturers
Gran Turismo is more than just a game franchise. It's a teacher. I don't remember if GT4 did, but GT2 came with a manual explaining oversteer, understeer, pitch, yaw, roll etc to help you become a better driver. Then after that, it explains racing lines, apexes, s-curves, etc...to help you become a better racer. So much time and effort to make the player better, not only at driving within the game, but driving in the real world.
This video took me back to a time when life was truly beautiful and carefree. I'm 25 now and haven't played a Gran Turismo game in at least 4 years but I can still remember that soundtrack to this day and all the nights spent on endurance races man great memories
Grant Turismo 4; the game where the severe lack of bloom, film grain, motion blur, piss and/or diarrhea filter and bad screen space reflections that vanish the moment you look elsewhere, actually make the game look far more hyper realistic to the eye, than 90% of what's out there today.
I had the game and the official wheel. (Still do.) I played it everyday it seemed like. I showed it off to many people. All of them were impressed by their experiences back then. I also believe the game still holds up today with the proper setup.
I played GT4... and now my children do. Even with all the fancy new racing apps on nvidia shield, GT4 on our old PS2 is the one they like and play most.
Facts. I played this game as a child/teenager and even tho i wasnt able to see the goods of this game back then I can do now. Hell man did this game strengthens my interest in cars and racing and all the racing games after it and always thinking back to the GT4 days makes me happy. When you got home from school hoping that your parents didn’t turned down the ps2 because you paused your 24hours race just to continue for the whole day.. wonderful times
Man I loved this game , we used to play with my dad and brother. Each of us had his own car . My brother had the White Astra Touring Car , I had the Motul one and my dad I think had a Subaru ? I don't remember since we never saw the back of it , he always struggled with controllers lol . But we also used to choose other cars with my brother and race twice in Trial Mountain , this way each used both cars and we calculated the differences to determine the winner of each round . And the races were brutal , because we raced that track so often , we had our lines on point, and we both knew how to cheat against each other too.
In my opinion this game perfectly encapsulates the aesthetic that is Gran Turismo. From the car selection to the music, the tracks and menu layout, this game was almost perfect. Whenever I think of GT, this game is the one that comes to mind, even after playing all of the newer ones. I honestly enjoyed being able to grow up with this game as a kid.
The PS2 was such a great console for racing games, it was amazing to be able to play both GT4 and Burnout 3, which in my opinion are still the peak of more realistic/simcade and arcade racers.
One gaming memory that sticks with me is the first time I used the Driving Force Pro with GT4. I was enjoying the road courses and then decided to load the Chamonix rally track up. There's a section where the road changes to tarmac and then back to snow. As it transitions from tarmac to snow the traction breaks and all of this is felt through the wheel. The force feedback eases and the steering lightens up, felt so realistic! Still one of my favorite driving games to this day, great vid!
dude, I can't even tell how nostalgic I feel after watching this video but thank you, I agree with every single world you said. The opening theme together with the ford GT are something else, never felt the same booting up any other game after GT4. Think it's time to remove the dust from the ps2
I never noticed that the Italian brnads of Lambo and Ferrari wasnt in it, the game blew my mind. 24hrs races..with friends...were the most intense hard and demanding gaming sessions ever, this game is amazing

Gran turismo was the first car sim yes, I respect that . But Forza is better, Its just a no contest for me. Of course I have no idea of where GT is at the moment because I dont own a PS5. And I didnt bought Forza 7 yet because, I destroyed 2 xbox controlers A buttons playing Forza 5 the way I used to play with the clutch on A and manual gears and I currently have no xbox controlers lol . But I decided to download GT5 right now to see what you are talking about.
I will be the most dissapointed man in my life if they wont release nike 2022 i was literally waiting like 8 years for this car

The lack of big car brands mentioned (Ferrari/Lamborghini/Porsche) doesn't really bother me at all. Gran Turismo had made me learn, explore, and respect cars from other brands until I think how overrated those big car brands are.
Porsche is definitely not overrated
Yeah, that's actually a logical fallacy; because you couldn't drive those cars, you couldn't directly compare them in game - so believing they are overrated despite having never actually found out for sure is an appeal to ignorance. Sorry..
@@Eatinbritches Youre trying way too hard to sound smart. Everyone understands what he was getting at, guess it went over your head.
Honestly they should just remaster this game
And here comes the GT7, which is basically a GT4 remastered version
@@WaiLIp I'm hoping gt7 will have more cars than sport did because I love a lot of the cars in the game but it still was kinda disappointing.
@@jasonswagmaster9865 GT Sport was aiming at esports so it completely different than pervious GT versions, however, Polyphony claimed that GT7 will be back to the root of the series which heavily based on GT4, sounds too good to be true but it’s actually happening! I’m on the same boat as you do, hopefully we won’t be disappointed.
@@WaiLIp this will be my first gt since ps2 then
They don't even need to remaster it, just make it available on PS4 like Dark Chronicle or Forbidden Siren!
Actually I'm playing GT4 I bought a PS2 to play it both GT3 & GT4 and I'm happy as a kid.
I'm 45 yrs old and I love it
Glad to see a 45 year old can enjoy these games as much as I did back when I was playing it as a kid
The classic Mercedes license test around the Nürburgring with a wheel is one of my top gaming experiences ever. This game was and still is fantastic.
Don't forget B-Spec mode. That stuff was great. I used to set my drivatar up for a Endurance race in the morning so I came home from school to a ton of cash.
Freaking masterpiece. The summer of 05 holds so many solid memories for me just because of this game.
Setsuna Yuki also remembered Gran Turismo 4 as well.
Grand Turismo 4 has alot of passion like you said. I have many hours in this game and I feel passion even in the creation of the menu, in the garage, in the care and details in the sound, storage options and even in the countries and the variety of brands and their models of several years.

I loved GT4. It was the last of the GTs where you were actually rewarded for wins. From GT5 onwards, it was such a massive grind to get some money up.
GT6 is easy to get money too.
GT3 is a bit grindy but worth the effort.

I was 5 when this game came out. I took ages in the nurburgring trying to complete the A license with the 190e, got to a point I knew the entire track by heart.
It's so odd I just replayed the game and that was the ONLY test I could get gold 😂
The talk about beasting a Fiat Panda reminded me of Jimmy Broadbent's play through of GT4, where he beat a McLaren SLR with *THE* best box
McLaren SLR is a difficult car to control (I believe there is even a mission with it).
VW Nardo is better compared to SLR (at least in handling).
@@Arun-117 mission 34 was hell because the McLaren SLR fitted sports tyres instead of racing ones
@@ayesse96
Even with racing tyres it is a lot hard to control the SLR (especially with the controller) as it is a FR drive train and given the fact that it is also long for the narrower roads of Nürburgring Nordschleife it twitched a lot.

I love the way he said how it is the holy grail, as if it was something hard to believe or a controversial opinion.

100% agreed. This game is a masterpiece everyone should experience.
To look back after over 15 years after this game was released it is a blessing indeed. I literally played that game until my disc wouldn't work anymore.
Agreed 100%, this and Tourist Trophy for bikes in PS2 is the holy grail of racing games.
You are right: SOUL is the key, something that current games lack. On the other hand Enthusia racing game has better physics.
This game had my PS2 on for days at a time. And I still turn on my system for this game till this day.
I got this game free with my PS2, and it instantly hooked me into racing. The right game at the right place can make all the difference
Ride and shine, Mr. Freeman

I love the fact that old games still get videos on UA-cam, as a "retro" player I love it
The wheel shake at 500kph is an intense workout, so I've heard. So many hours of fun, great video
The car selection, the tracks, the soundtrack, the progression, the fun driving. These are the aspects that made it the best racing game of all time
At the time, this game's graphics was incredible.
When they finally included the Circuit de la Sarthe (or what we all know as: Le Mans)
that was it for me: best racing/driving simulator game ever.
The early to mid 2000s are the only age of video games worth thinking of
you're missing out on a lot of good games then
Just use component cables and 480p mode for progressive scan output (don't use the 1080i mode, is interlaced and in some lcd tvs looks like shit)
@@DrkTrx Thanks for the info. I'll try it on my other PS2, which is in my room.
Just emulate it using an emulator. You could get it up to 4k. Granted, some of the textures will still look bad but it's way better than nothing.
Among the games I played was GT4, so naturally I wanted to check my 10 year old save file again
Imagine my shock and disappointment when I realise that the disc was not working.
the car selection is unmatched perfect blend of modern and classic
unfortunate that some newer stuff is left out, but all of the weird old stuff that is there and hasn't been seen since is more than worth it imo
GT7 cant match it at all despite the inclusion of AMR VALKYRIE.
Bro, there was just something magical happening in games around this time, you just had to be alive then to experience them (Sigh)
Gt4, San Andreas, nascar 2004, NFS most wanted, Simpsons hit n run, vice city, the list goes on....... We hit a blessed pinnacle in playability, and memorability. There's a reason these old game will never be forgotten🥺🥺
midnight club 3 Dub Edition was sick too
I am a total gran turismo fan and have every game that PD did in this series.
If only they included the gt mode...

I had been playing FM7 for a couple of months and now I can't force myself to play it anymore, it's all about GT4, man.
am the exact same age as gran turismo 4 very fucking nice indeed
Such a great video. Prefectly sums up the greatness of this game. The GT series was made by car enthusiasts, for car enthusiasts, which explains a lot of the content and attention to detail.
I was lucky enough to be 15 when it came out. Spent many an hour playing it. Hell of a game.
Finally someone said it.
That big gaping hole in my heart for racing games... it's this game and the inconvenient fact that nothing since has even come close to it.
I bought a ps2 and gt4 yesterday because of the music and intro alone, and now I find this video. I love your commentary and I hope I enjoy gt4
I played the shit out of this game when it came out and I honestly never noticed it was missing Ferrari, Lamborghini and Porsche.
It was in this game as a 8 year old I found something called a honda euro r and fell in love, 18 years later I got one on my driveway
Amazing, this is game is truly special to my heart and it makes me so happy to hear someone else tout its magnificence! BTW, this game has one of the most epic intros ever to exist, that choir gives me chills every time!
Damn GT4 is almost 20 years old 😮
Every corner of this game just oozes style. Easily the best menus in any game I've played. I want to *live* in this game.
I'm 25 now and haven't played a Gran Turismo game in at least 4 years but I can still remember that soundtrack to this day and all the nights spent on endurance races man great memories
the holy grail and THE trauma of IA-15 Nurburgring lap guide 😍😍✨
Grant Turismo 4; the game where the severe lack of bloom, film grain, motion blur, piss and/or diarrhea filter and bad screen space reflections that vanish the moment you look elsewhere, actually make the game look far more hyper realistic to the eye, than 90% of what's out there today.
I had the game and the official wheel. (Still do.) I played it everyday it seemed like. I showed it off to many people. All of them were impressed by their experiences back then. I also believe the game still holds up today with the proper setup.
I played GT4... and now my children do. Even with all the fancy new racing apps on nvidia shield, GT4 on our old PS2 is the one they like and play most.
this game meant everything to me at one point of my childhood, i really really learned a lot from it... GT4 you are the goat 👌👌
You can mod the PCSX2 emulated version with HD textures and HD hud, and UI as well. It makes it a lot better.
Wow, this video just popped out nowhere in my recommendation. And I love it!.

Gran Turismo 7 would like to know your location
Man I loved this game , we used to play with my dad and brother. Each of us had his own car . My brother had the White Astra Touring Car , I had the Motul one and my dad I think had a Subaru ? I don't remember since we never saw the back of it , he always struggled with controllers lol . But we also used to choose other cars with my brother and race twice in Trial Mountain , this way each used both cars and we calculated the differences to determine the winner of each round . And the races were brutal , because we raced that track so often , we had our lines on point, and we both knew how to cheat against each other too.
I still play it almost every day, not joking.
BTW, honourable mention: "Enthusia" by Konami.
I spend hundreds of hours in GT4 back in the day. I even played the 8,12 and 24 hours races
