- The ICJ (international court of justice) hearings on Israel's recent Rafah offensive have commenced and Israel presents their case for the offensive. and BIG NEWS - we get to talk about HAMAS TUNNELS again. LonerBox reviews their reasoning and also checks out a video by @RyanMcBethProgramming on justified/unjustified military tactics. Will the ICJ find this acceptable?

Squirters is a term in common usage in a military. For example you attack a building and people come running out of the building, those are called squirters.
No, I will absolutely not insert a sexual joke.
I heard it from a channel "Syrmor", interviewing a US helicopter gunner Afghanistan veteran, something like "guy in vr talks about their worst day as soldier". He refers to them as "squirters", says something like, "if you see it happen, you just get why you call it that, it's just what it looks like".
still feels like this is the absolute worst word they could have chosen for the concept
@@thatshadowguy1005Squirter is a military term. It's supposed to be that way. It's part of the gallows humor that is pervasive with all military cultures.
windowlicker pfp does not make it any better 😭😭
The "Israel built the tunnels" misinfo might genuinely be a massive game of telephone gone wrong, which is unfortunately common with this conflict.
What I first heard is that Israel built tunnels under Al Shifa to maximize the space efficiency of the hospital. The theory was that Hamas built off these tunnels and made their own. Some people were also saying that they were using the Israeli-built tunnels but this was less commonly said in my experience
Israel used to control the hospital and builds bomb-proof operating rooms in every hospital as a standard practice, which were referred to as "bunkers".
@@TimPortantnoyeah. Unironically, Israel has built more bomb shelters in Gaza than Hamas…
When I was in the military we did call it “the LOAC” (low-ack) all the time.
Also squirters are people fleeing a building, usually after a bombing or attack. I believe it can also refer to people fleeing a battlefield more broadly.
You want to encourage the enemy to flee because they are easier to capture for interrogation and intelligence gathering and because routing an enemy is oftentimes more desirable than fighting them down to the final man.
Gross. You should be ashamed for having participated in that. Hopefully one day you'll realize nothing you did was right.

Ryan Macbeth is a fairly objective source. Him and Preston Stewart both do fairly solid osint analysis
He has a massive blind spot towards Israel. He thinks young people hating Zionism is a Chinese op from Tik Tol. He couldn't consider that violation of civil rights and ethnic cleansing at minimum is to be condemned and young people don't have a fawning relationship towards Israel. He didn't show anything towards why Tik Tok specifically was bad when all social media, including YT was easily exploited by foreign agents. I unsubbed for such blatant propaganda.
Yeah…no
@@richardarriaga6271He has massive blind spots towards Israel despite having videos calling out Israel? Makes sense
FYI Nawaf Salam is Sunni. His cousin Tammam Salam was PM (a Sunni position), and there are sporadic calls for him to be PM every now and then.
The wiki entry for his grandfather literally states he was President of al-Makassed, a Muslim charity organization.
It wasn't (and still isn't) uncommon for Lebanese muslims to go to christian schools. It was well understood that the christians generally had better funding for their schools, and so the quality of teaching was better.
Israelis: Why are we held to such a high standard?
The standard: The absolute bare minimum the law asks of you
It's more that they're held to higher standards compared to Hamas
@@aaronsaada9878 god forbid people expect more from a sovereign nation than from a terrorist organization right?
@@erichardy32no. We should hold a terrorist government to the same standard as a democratic one, realize that they're not meeting the standard, then condemn them like any other nation who doesn't meet the standard. Palestine is recognized as a nation In the UN. If Hamas wants to be the government, it needs to act like it or get removed from power. One of the two
Compared to other countries in the region they are lol to the north we have assadd gassing his own ppl to the south we have the gulf states that practice a quasi form of slavery yet nothing from the international community.
@@cyropox8235ok, when do we get to condemn Israel and the IDF because we have spent the last 8 months condemning Hamas and the moment it's time to hold Israel accountable "why do you not condemn Hamas?"
Also I'm pretty sure it ain't Hamas that is representing Palestine in the UN.
Glad to see some Ryan Mcbeth in here, very good source for anything military.
Squirter - bad guy running out of a house under fire
When was this recorded? Interstitial music goes hard in the paint good job Olive.
This is from just two days ago so it’s recent! Also thanks, - Olive

If you listen to the tank rolling over the sign video, there's a lot of gunfire. So, in case it is in active combat then of course who cares about the sign, but also the soldier is saying something, a translation of that would probably be pretty insightful as to the motive of the rolling over lol, I can't believe that ryan didn't translate it

Can you please do examination of war analyst John Spencer's interview on Sam Harris's podcast? I haven't found much of any interactions with his arguments on the war on Gaza
You need LB to watch videos for you? No wonder his little grift works, you guys will swallow anything, including genocide denial which is pretty gross. Do yourself a favor and try to develop critical thinking skills of your own, ditch these shameless hacks.

Your commentary has become insufferable to watch wtf. You're soying out over people who pay you money to respond. Moreover, the meaning behind the criticism of IDF attacks on Al Shifa was the "muuh command centeerrr."

I really wish Israels first instinct isnt always to lie, then lie again before finally conceeding to the truth.
I feel like there would've been less pushback if everyone was honest about the scale of the hospital base
Israel is built on lies. What you're asking for is impossible
But if you destroy the only hospital and cut off all aid, you are the evil one regardless if there was a base there. Israel's actions only make sense if they want all Palestinians gone.
I think there still would've been pushback, imagine Israel from the outset said we want to kill as many citizens as possible over saving hostages, it became clear ages ago, that the Israeli government intentions were never to save the hostages
"the "i heart Gaza" sign was Khamas" the IDF probably"
Why was my comment removed??

While i agree mostly with Loner's characterization of the Hamas complex, i do think it's important to note the difference in what Israel displayed with the multiple levels and the other rooms, like the barrel room, that seemed excessive in the initial animation.
True, but Israel is in a position where no matter what they say, people will say they're lying, so I don't think they care if they exaggerate an animation of a Hamas command center a bit.
@@dzed5579weirdest defense of the IDF I've seen in some time.
It's ok if they lie, because people will say they lie.
Ok dude, you alright? Need a glass of water, going for a walk maybe?
@@dzed5579also, where's the command center? It's not an exaggeration if it doesn't exist. That's just a lie
@mgg7756 when did I say I support the IDF and defend their actions, even the bad ones? I'm saying it makes sense from their perspective to lie. And I think it's clear enough with how the media and people on social media have reacted to the conflict. No matter what Israel does, they will get blamed because a decent portion of the population genuinely thinks Israel is committing a genocide, so there is nothing good they could do. Which is why Israel probably thinks they shouldn't care and do what they want. It's not good. But, I can't blame them for thinking that way.
@@dzed5579oh you think there's no genocide going on? Well I'm not surprised, I know it's the default position here. Genocide denial is pretty gross though.
When Israel objects to the standards they are held to,they are not comparing themselves to Hamas, but the US. I think.
You should watch Sam Harris' last podcast,it's on the topic of the IDF's conduct, with a urban warfare expert. They have favorable views as you might expect. But I am very interested in your reaction to it.
Do they talk about 'where's daddy'? Wouldn't have bet Sam Harris thinking such a high collateral to be acceptable
