Did you even watch Survivor Series 1990? Slaughter was made to look great in that match, he took out the whole opposing team apart from Tito by himself, then got disqualified. He was completely protected. If he'd of won he'd of had to of got in the ring with Hogan at the end of the night, which would have been ridiculous as they were trying to keep them away from each other till Wrestlemania. It didn't derail Slaughter at all it only strengthened his character.
Charlotte Flair How Can you not want to see Shield Vs. New Day? Clearly you've never seen Elimination Chamber 2014. The Shield's 6-Man tag matches are really, really, really, really good.
well no but if it's a PPV you kind of expect title matches..... because thats when title matches happen. So if you just have a bunch of normal matches, that can still be good, it sort of takes away from the magic. Also you can't deny the fact that the title being on the line at a PPV event does make the match more interesting, because there are actually stakes and the wrestlers are actually fighting for something. In the end im sure the matches will be fine, however there will be a weird feeling when none of the wrestlers actually end up losing anything that feels big to them
The issue with survivor series this year is the lack of any real stakes. The biggest stakes you have is angle being fired if raw loses. Thats it. You could have some interesting stakes. Royal rumble positions, first draft picks, pay per view choices, and etc. There is nothing here except bragging rights which was a bad pay per view back in the day.
Exactly, a PPV should feel big and right now no matter what the result is at Survivor Series it really wont matter. Like you said Kurt Angle being fired is the biggest stake but even then it probably wouldn't even be that noticeable just a few months after
no he didn't 'basically' say that or even imply it, he said theres all these champion vs champion matches with no titles on the line, which makes no sense so why should he care? its a valid point and is irrelevant to not caring about a match because its a nontitle event
Uh...the problem with the Cruiserweight SS 2016 match was that fucking Baron Corbin DQ'd it. A CRUISERWEIGHT MATCH. DQ'D. IN A PPV. BY A NON-CRUISERWEIGHT. WHY.
Why care about tonight's Survivor Series? Because its fun, its WWE, different talent, the old fashioned tag team elimination matches. Not everything has to have meaning, story, etc. Look at most of the past. Still quite successful.
This is very true. You can care for matches with no story. You can also acknowledge that some consequences for the matches could have been put in place to make some matches more interesting. You gotta see it both ways. You can also do this while still enjoying the show.
Sheamus cashing in saved survivor series 2015, because fuck Roman Reigns. I would have liked Sheamus to be booked better though, it kinda felt like they only had him cash in so that they could have Roman win the title anyway.
I don't understand how the Immunity Battle Royal implied that everybody in it was expendable. If anything, do you know what implies that your wrestlers are expendable? Putting the existence of your promotion on the line in ONE match (i.e., the whole premise of SS 2001). At least the jobbers and low-carders in the battle royal got a chance at job security for a year, which is something that the main-eventers in the "Winner-Take-All" match didn't get...
As much as I loved Survivor Series, I was pretty pissed that they knocked Nakamora, Roode, Joe and Balor out of the match first so that it would seem like Randy Orton, John Cena, Triple H and fucking Shane I-was-never-a-full-time-wrestler-and-now-am-only-a-part-time-wrestler-in-my-40's would seem like the biggest stars of the match. What the hell is the WWE gonna do in 5-10 years when all these guys retire?
I have to disagree with the Sarge bit. He went out in 4 vs 4 match after being left alone against an entire team, then went on to singlehandedly eliminate three guys before dropping to Tito's out of nowhere finisher. They did the same sort of thing with HBK and Orton a couple of times and it was great. Sarge came out looking really strong without coming to blows with either Hogan or Warrior before his big matches with each of them.
For this year's Survivor Series, WWE apparently learned how anniversaries work about a week before the pay-per-view because they suddenly started referring to it as the 30th anniversary of Survivor Series. Took them long enough to figure it out.
I remember Big Show winning fondly; in kayfabe his father had died and he'd just defended hi honour against the Big Boss Man, so the title win was the culmination to that whole emotional rollercoaster.
“Survivor Series is the one night a year where superstars from Raw and Smackdown go head to head.” -The line given by announcers leading up to Survivor Series 2017 Finn Balor (Raw) VS AJ Styles (Smackdown) A match held at TLC 2017, the PPV event held before Survivor Series
The slaughter one did make sense. He had to be kept away from Hogan and warrior that far away from rumble and Mani but still look strong enough so that him getting the title shot wasn't out of absolutely nowhere. He basically destroyed his opponents including tito. He just got caught cheating so it didn't take heat off him in the loss
I think YOU don't know what an anniversary is. It marks a number of years passed since a thing started, and isn't a ticker for how many such marks have been made previously. A 25th anniversary is held at year 25 because it's the years being counted, not the anniversaries. When you turn 35, it's your 35th birthday even if you haven't had 35 birthdays, for the same reason.
Kendrick vs Kalisto was probably the best 205 Live match so far. But yes, they should have had a 5 vs 5 Survivor Series match. 2017, they had the chance again, failed to do so.
I like the idea of Brian Alvarez to put some sense into Raw vs SD SuSe: The winning brand gets the #16 to #30 spots on next Royal Rumble, the losers have to start. So everybody would be motivated enough and it is understandable, why big rivals compete together. Especially for cases like New Day or Charlotte who were main representatives of Raw, and now fight for SD occasionally.
WWE doesn't regret Sheamus cashing in, it literally led directly to the one time WWE's actually managed to get Roman cheered since the 2015 Royal Rumble. They probably consider it the biggest success of the last few years.
Um...that match where Kozlov defeated Undertaker to get a shot at the WWE Championship was won by disqualification. When he beat the Undertaker, that was closer to something like Wrestlemania 25
The warlord was a big dude .Him and the barbarian were one heck of a tag team.I think they were called the Powers of Pain.If they were called something else I can't remember what it was .A double ring cruiser weight battle royal would be cool to see at SS or at wrestlemania.I enjoy watching the high fliers .They are talented athletes.
I cannot believe you would have wanted bray wyatt to beat the undertaker in any situation. He should have beat cena at wm30 i agree but taker 100% should have beaten him at wm31 and at survivor series because he is the undertaker
If you pay attention SS is a ppv to see which brand is better or supperior and putting the champions against each other is a way to see which champion is better
A couple of weird choices. 10 - why would they regret giving Big Show the belt? okay so not exactly the most high profile reign, but the momentum had been building all year and Rock was busy with Rock'n'Sock and HHH was busy with the Vince feud. Plus if they regretted it that much why did they give it to Big Show again in 2002, which was clearly a little nod to him winning it at the same event 3 years before. 9 - They didn't exactly do much with Test and it was a missed opportunity, but I doubt they regret it, unless there was someone else in mind that should have won? Really they just failed to capitalize on something, like so many other times. If they regret all those things then sheesh, they must be living very sad and regretful lives.
I'm disappointed. It's 20th of November and we haven't had a "10 fascinating facts" for every year Survivor Series we had up to this point? What the hell?
I personally love the 2017 card... the champion vs champion matches look pretty good. This really does look like how survivor series should be to a point would love a title match but hey Lesnar vs Styles looks fucking great
Shouldn't this video be called "10 Survivor Series Moments That We Didn't Like." Like.. there's a very clear difference between what WWE regret and what _you think_ WWE _should_ regret. I'm not opposed to the video or the title in and of themselves, I just take exception to them being different things slapped together and passed off as the same thing.
I have a feeling Simon is actually Johnny Sins
Ueno Naoka Who is Johnny sins?
😂😂😂😂
Did you even watch Survivor Series 1990? Slaughter was made to look great in that match, he took out the whole opposing team apart from Tito by himself, then got disqualified. I bet whatculture regret releasing adam and the others
Shenron they wanted to leave
They're happy Adam left.
its better for them as a company adam is gone before all that stuff came out
owenjack172 SCS Blampied
What stuff what happened? And who all got released?
I'm so hyped for Shield vs New Day, The Bar vs The Usos, Styles vs Lesnar and 5 on 5 elimination match
I'm hyped for everything except Corbin vs Miz and Shield vs New Day
Charlotte Flair The Shield vs The New Day has potential to steal the show
Charlotte Flair
How can you not be hyped for Shield vs New Day?
Sefa Filizer it's the bar not var bit I agree
Charlotte Flair How Can you not want to see Shield Vs. New Day? Clearly you've never seen Elimination Chamber 2014. The Shield's 6-Man tag matches are really, really, really, really good.
He basically just said that if its not a title match, i shouldn't care 😂 omg
well no but if it's a PPV you kind of expect title matches..... because thats when title matches happen. So if you just have a bunch of normal matches, that can still be good, it sort of takes away from the magic. BraveHeartedHero1 fair point, but i still love the idea of this bight being about brand supremacy and nothing else
no he didn't 'basically' say that or even imply it, he said theres all these champion vs champion matches with no titles on the line, which makes no sense so why should he care? its a valid point and is irrelevant to not caring about a match because its a nontitle event
Uh...the problem with the Cruiserweight SS 2016 match was that fucking Baron Corbin DQ'd it.
A CRUISERWEIGHT MATCH. DQ'D. IN A PPV. BY A NON-CRUISERWEIGHT. WHY.
Cena winning his fued with Wyatt didn't bury him. The Undertaker fued in 2015 did. At least for me anyway.
im loving every champion vs champion match in survivor series un paper, pure raw vs smackdown
@4:51 - Somebody misspelled the FUCK out of "Sergeant".
TheTruthNJ09 Make this the top comment.
AND THIS SERGEANT IS NOT AT ALL HAPPY WITH THAT!!!!!
It's correct if it's someone's name (such as Sargent Shriver) but as a rank, which it is in this case, then it's wrong.
WWE almost wouldve regretted almost discontinuing their Thanksgiving classic in 2010.
Sheamus cashing in saved survivor series 2015, because fuck Roman Reigns. I would have liked Sheamus to be booked better though, it kinda felt like they only had him cash in so that they could have Roman win the title anyway.
Simon is the only reason I’m still subscribed to this channel
As an American who knows what Eastenders is, that cracked me up.
I don't understand how the Immunity Battle Royal implied that everybody in it was expendable. If anything, do you know what implies that your wrestlers are expendable? Putting the existence of your promotion on the line in ONE match (i.e., the whole premise of SS 2001).

SHEAMUS 5:15 FELLA!
FELLA!!!
I don't get it
Sgt Slaughter fella!
6:10
So Sgt. Slaughter's responsible for the best thing about Survivor Series 2015? Awesome
They've just released Big Show's title win on the 30 Years of Survivor Series DVD. Why would they do this if they regretted it?
I have to disagree with the Sarge bit. He went out in 4 vs 4 match after being left alone against an entire team, then went on to singlehandedly eliminate three guys before dropping to Tito's out of nowhere finisher. They did the same sort of thing with HBK and Orton a couple of times and it was great.

Aleister black vs velveteen dream stole the show last night

I remember Big Show winning fondly; in kayfabe his father had died and he'd just defended hi honour against the Big Boss Man, so the title win was the culmination to that whole emotional rollercoaster.
I don't think they regret any of these but whatever you say...
The gobbledy gooker (WTH was that for?)
“Survivor Series is the one night a year where superstars from Raw and Smackdown go head to head.” -The line given by announcers leading up to Survivor Series 2017

The best thing about Tuesday in Texas is OSW review!
I liked Survivor Series 2001. But I was also 14 at the time.
Kendrick vs Kalisto was probably the best 205 Live match so far. But yes, they should have had a 5 vs 5 Survivor Series match. 2017, they had the chance again, failed to do so.
Triple H will buried Team SD tonight
"will buried"
What did he mean by this?
Number one should've been the exit of Lita in 2006? That was just terrible especially since she's back in the company.
I like the idea of Brian Alvarez to put some sense into Raw vs SD SuSe: The winning brand gets the #16 to #30 spots on next Royal Rumble, the losers have to start. So everybody would be motivated enough and it is understandable, why big rivals compete together. Congrats on 1 million subscribers
It really shows a lot that there's a bunch of comments talking about how they miss Adam Blampied
Hearing Simone voice at the start of these videos is the only thing keeping me around
How did Gobbledy Gooker not make the list?
WWE doesn't regret Sheamus cashing in, it literally led directly to the one time WWE's actually managed to get Roman cheered since the 2015 Royal Rumble. They probably consider it the biggest success of the last few years.
Um...that match where Kozlov defeated Undertaker to get a shot at the WWE Championship was won by disqualification. When he beat the Undertaker, that was closer to something like Wrestlemania 25
I don't watch whatculture anymore but I came back just for this
I bet at least 30% watching this haven't ever used or even held a VHS
DecepticonMecha lmao
vids2002 i raise it to 70%
new videos on yt SexyPlatoon Maybe
I've never even seen one
DecepticonMecha lol.... but why do you have to shove it in though.... that made me laugh
You mean 10 Things WWE "Wants you to forget" about survivor series?
Well if they'd name it that, the ones with Chris Benoit in them would've been on the list.
**memories**
A video they’ve ALREADY MADE?
WhatCulture or anyone else,
Do you know if the real event will be showing on Direct TV,
Because direct TV says
Sports Non-Event
I actually like the team wwf vs. The Alliance elimination match
the "Champion vs. Champion" matches should've happened at Clash of Champions instead.
just realized Clash Of Champions the first letters spell something
There would be no point in having the titles on the line, and it’s about who the best champions are
So basically a dumbed-down version of the 'Want To Forget' list
I haven't watched Whatculture in a while, what happened to Adam Blampied? I don't see him anymore.
I miss Adam blampied
This card looks real good, can’t wait for tonight.
You reached with a survivor series that hasn’t happened yet
I cannot believe you would have wanted bray wyatt to beat the undertaker in any situation. He should have beat cena at wm30 i agree but taker 100% should have beaten him at wm31 and at survivor series because he is the undertaker
2 VHS? THATS UNBeLIeVABle
I'm like returning to wrestling (i stopped watching in 2013) but i don't know how to get back into it
I think Bray is like the reverse Undertaker. His lost streak still alive at Wrestlemania.
0:31 survivor series 199.
"205 died " too accurate , we need one full roster again with varying weight classes
2017 Survivor Series is a great card - How did that make the list?
If you pay attention SS is a ppv to see which brand is better or supperior and putting the champions against each other is a way to see which champion is better
#GiveSurvivorSeries2017AChance Simon lol

Without even watching this video I'm guessing Gobbeldygooker is going to be someone on this list.
Edit: No Gobblydooker? Really?
The Gobbeldy Gooker was frickin awesome!!!!
Why should he be on this list?????
Surprised the Gobbly Gooker or whatever wasn't mentioned.
The reason I never took Kozlov seriously is because the opening of his entrance music sounds like it’s saying “YA! BRING YOUR STINKY BALLS!”
I thought the alliance versus the WWE was a great storyline and a great match
Tuesday in Texas= DLC pioneer
Is Adam still part of What Culture I miss him
Cnm 3443 which adam 😂
Which one?
raydarable cultaholics i think
Wilbourne and Cleary are
Is plumpy gone?
Long play my man.. LONG PLAY!!!
You don't neee 2 tapes when you record smart.
I'm disappointed. It's 20th of November and we haven't had a "10 fascinating facts" for every year Survivor Series we had up to this point? What the hell?
Is Simon the only one who works here
Cryocy no, he's just the only good one
There's also discount Brandy Brewer, the bald and the beard, another Adam and some dude named Benjamin
I personally love the 2017 card... the champion vs champion matches look pretty good. This really does look like how survivor series should be to a point would love a title match but hey Lesnar vs Styles looks fucking great
Tuesday In Texas featured an excellent post-match interview with Jake Roberts though.
Simon's the only good one left at WhatCulture.
It's weird not hearing blampied do these anymore
WHATCULTURE 🔥
Adam and the rest of the crew were on WWE 365 KEVIN OWENS!!!
I'M GOING TO SURVIVOR SERIES TODAY!!!!
Love you Simon. And your big, strong arms. I was never confused!
Umm... I can think of two more Survivor Series regrets:
The Montreal Incident/Finish/Screwjob, 1997
The Gobbledygooker, 1990
Big show is great...Although being so big he can move quick n also he can drop kick...Accept that
Shouldn't this video be called "10 Survivor Series Moments That We Didn't Like."
Like.. there's a very clear difference between what WWE regret and what _you think_ WWE _should_ regret.
I'm not opposed to the video or the title in and of themselves, I just take exception to them being different things slapped together and passed off as the same thing.
Is it just em who thinks that plumpy and the other guys are gonna return weirdly or something?
If you don't know what Eastenders is, I'd call that a godsend.
Tonight's main event should be on the list
So this is basically "10 Things WWE Wants You To Forget about Survivor Series"
Comment your first WWE Pay per view. Mine was the 2003 Royal Rumble
Shadow mines was wrestlemania 28
TriLLBeatz 334 mines whus Summerslam 2017.
wrestlemania 20
Mine was survivior series 2009
"I believe I may have made a Huge mistake!" - Will Arnett
What. The. Hell. Was. The. Finish. Of. The. Mens. Match!?
MeLikeSoap the whole show was bad but that made it 10x worse
MeLikeSoap It was all to make Triple H look strong
Liam pecoraro the show was great. Main event was the problem
because its a cool all star game, were see the best of the best in each brand fight each other.
Stupid decisions I regret.... every time I click on a what culture video and hear Simons voice
Simon and regret go hand in hand
How is Gobbledygooker not on this list? I'd certainly call that one of Survivor Series' worst blunders ever.
From The Washington DC area and my dad loves eastenders yet he has never been to England
When you just got fired from your job and they begin the video talking about regret hahaha classic
It was a punt kick on big show, not an rko
Scheduling it after Takeover: War Games
WWE regrets the fact they realesed Ellsworth
Sheamus always sticks to that announcer
Simon is that you....instant joy
