Lyme Disease Treatment - Weeks 17 & 18 | My Chronic Life

These last two weeks have felt pretty hectic. I started a new antibiotic, and although the side effects aren't quite as bad as the last one, they're still not pleasant, and I had to deal with the first wave if herx's. I also had 2 medical appointments; the first one was at the diabetes clinic that was very overwhelming and kind of scared me senseless, and the second at the hospital to have an ultrasound on my shoulder which although it was quick and painless, really took a lot out of me.
All in all it's been a very difficult fortnight, so hopefully the next few weeks will be easier.

I'm undergoing treatment at Breakspear Medical, for Chronic Lyme Disease and other chronic illnesses and I'm going to document the whole process to help inform other people and for myself, as I'm hopeful for the first time in 4 years that I'm going to get some proper treatment!
