I like what you said about Gojo, and the subtext behind his death and how we are bound to accept it, but I still think his death chapter is one of the most collosal disappointments I've read in manga. It was such a huge disservice to his character and his importance to the story (referring to his death and the airport scene). So while I do agree, it was still set up really badly and unnecessarily sidetracked so we could have a steamroll of fights with Sukuna.
Same. We know what uts suposed to be. We accept it. But we dont like its execution

The non stop whining from the head cannon folks is getting annoying. Just because it didn't fit your expectations. It's the most disappointing thing is all of manga media. Okay dude. We get it. You liked gojo. You HATE that he was used to scale someone much stronger than him. But crying in the comment section of every gojo video is very fucking tired already.
The issue with Gojo’s death, for me, isn’t that he lost. It’s that his defeat was the equivalent of winning a boss battle and then getting beaten in the cutscene… but we pressed the wrong button and skipped the cutscene.

Lmao I 100% agree. Good way of putting it. One of those boss battles you never had a chance of beating anyways because it is written in the script.
We literally saw the foreshadowing hidden in plane sight before that. Anyone who really believes that Sukuna getting World Slash is an asspull weren’t paying attention

It’s been a while since you talked about JJK. You were the one to introduce me to the series years ago when it was just another manga in wsj
One of the things I like about this manga is the idea/fact that in order to achieve something greater than yourself you have to know who or what is at the top to see if you’re strong or weak enough to make change.
Honestly, I would have preferred if Gege gave us more time in between Gojo's unsealing and his fight against Sukuna. As someone who's been keeping up with the manga weekly since around chapter 200, right now it feels like I got plenty of IRL time to see the disparity between the world of JJK without Gojo (Culling Games) and a world where he's back (post-unsealing). But, and I recognize this is more of a personal thing, it doesn't really feel like we got much time to see how Gojo being unsealed actually affected the world of JJK through the lens of the manga itself. Less than 10 chapters (I think) after his unsealing, Gege did a month or so time-skip to when the fight against Sukuna started. Combined with the send-off Gojo got in 236 makes the decision to not have a training arc of sorts (or at least some downtime for character interactions and other stuff) all the more disappointing for me (the only reason I say send-off in a negative light here is because of the "offscreen" death, I knew Gojo was going to die but having it done offscreen felt very odd and jarring). Basically, I just wish we got more time to see what JJK is like post Culling Games AND post Gojo unsealing so that when Gojo died, it would have been all the more bleak for our characters in the moment, but also made Gojo's sacrifice mean that much more to the story and characters. I would have had no issue with this if Gege added a decent amount of flashbacks to the month break before Shinjuku Showdown, but apart from 5-10 panels every 10 chapters or so, it doesn't look like that's happening.
