- Johnny's mother thought her son might be gay, so she asked her doctor how and when she'll know. Her doctor answered in a direct and caring way, leaving an impact on Johnny for his entire life.

As Iggy Pop said, "I'm not wearing women's clothes, I am wearing my clothes. I paid for them."
:D Do you mean Eddie Izzard? (Iggy Pop: "I'm not ashamed to dress "like a woman" because I don't think it's shameful to be a woman.")
Lmao his mom is like "ok he'd rather marry his cousin than a dude. That was close"
Its more biblical actually.
It's fine at that age. I used to work with children and quite a few girls said that they'd want to marry their daddy. Simply because their father was the most important man in their lives, I guess. 🤷♀️ Not because of any impropriety.
@@MyITRcom NICE
Thanks for the commrnt.
"Would you rather marry a boy or a girl?" "My cousin Christina." "Oh, thank god, he's not gay." ??????????
Sonica Speed Lmfaooo
Not gay; just an incestual pervert. This is much better for a strictly Bible thumping mom.
@@d.j.7069 Not at that age. I used to play wedding with my cousins as well, I was never actually attracted to them. (there are tons of little girls that respond by saying "my daddy", btw. It's not a sign of any impropriety...)
Right. Little kids aren't thinking about sex or even romance necessarily when they say they want to marry someone.

My bro wore dresses a few times, my mom never yelled at him, just the one time he came out naked when we had guests. He's straight. I remember my mom asking us when we were younger if we were gay and saying it was okay if we were.
bleepbloop 101010101 - In the 19th Century, young boys (under the age 6 I believe) wore dresses because they believed that this way the devil wouldn't recognize the kid and take him away.
@@kalinystazvoruna8702 Didn't they believe in the protection of the blood of Jesus?
@@kelle0285 Which sect of (presumably) Christianity are you referring to?
@@kalinystazvoruna8702 I figured all christians believed in the power of the blood of Jesus, or at least would claim to.
@@kelle0285 I believe that idea of the "power of the blood of Jesus" is more a "conservative" Christian thing. Certainly, after 12 years of Catholic school, I never heard of that phrase, nor did the kids I knew who went to the Congregational, Methodist or Episcopalian churches.
💜💙💚💛❤️ if you're reading this: you're beautiful and I hope you're having a good day
Nah I'm kinda ugly but thanks
No, sir, I dare YOU to reply!! Also, thank you!
I'm reading this, and I'm a bit of a plain Jane. I also have bags under my eyes, I'm covered in pimples, I have a patchy unkempt beard, I'm tall and gawky, I'm covered in festering boils, I have crooked yellow teeth and I have a beer belly that is not even symmetrical.
@@kelle0285 you still beautiful
From one gay Johnny to another, you're a good man and I wish you every happiness.
first crush in junior high was named Johnny. He was cute, a goof ball, curly black hair and caramel colored skin. He liked me and I liked him but we were both closet cases so nothing came of it. :(
This young man's mother needs to accept her son as is. He's fine the way he is. Love is love whether gay, lesbian, bisexual transgender or straight. I'm bisexual and proud!
Cassandra Mitch Yes. Be Bi and proud!
Luz Estrada I am and always will be. Thanks😌👍
You're making a lot of assumptions on very little evidence. Who says she doesn't accept him now? He's telling a story about when he was a child.
MR AMERICA And are you proud of being American? Peridot poo 💅🏼
MR AMERICA qUEER1!1!1
When I went to the doctors office for a yearly checkup my doctor saw my rainbow pin and began this whole conversation about acceptance while also keeping it neutral because she didn't know if I was out or not. I wasn't and my mom was there.

Great doctor.

Cool doctor!!!!!!
Johnny, you had a great doctor. God bless him for his insight and wisdom. You seem like a really nice guy and I know will have a great future. Keep up the good work being who you are! That is all there is...........Kudos, man...............Ray
He's a certified friend of Dorothy.
When I told my mom I was gay she said she knew since I was a little boy. I said, "Then why didn't you tell me? I didn't figure it out until I was about 14".
Awwww. This is so cute.
I don't think it would have been right to tell you... after all she could have been wrong and then you might have been really confused and a bit worried! Maybe best to let you discover yourself in your own time.
@@hazelangus -I was joking with her. I think you're right. Everyone should be entitled to come out when they are ready.
A parent's job isn't to tell you who you are, but rather to love and support you during your journey to find yourself ❤
Your a gay Harry
This was one of the sweetest videos I have come across all day. Wonderful story.
Life is hard enough, it would be great if families would accept their children the way they are made, in the end you have to be yourself, whether gay or straight
Man. The more I look into it the more coming out as gay to parents reminds me of when I came out as an atheist to my religious parents. They treated me like dirt, despite claiming they "unconditionally loved" me. I suppose that's why I feel sympathy here as well - I've been there. For those of you out there who're nervous, feel afraid, or are in suffering, take heart: millions suffer in silence beside you.
I think everyone has the same feelings of not being accepted. If its religion, sexuality whatever. So those people know how bad it feels. They are supportive to each other! And that warms my heart ❤
Growing up a kid living next to my house, he was 5 he used to wear dresses and his mother's heals. His mom never made a thing about it his mom tragically died years later he is gay and proud and he knew then. I mean we didn't know any gay people but the community and neighbors really never made him feel like he was weird which was weird for the late 90s and our culture looking back
When I was a kid, I loved playing with my little cars & trucks but I also like to play with dolls & doll houses. And it in no way affected who I finally became. Today, I am a perfectly happy & well adjusted gay man. Playing with cars & trucks did not make me straight 😏. 😂‼️
When I was a young girl I only played with cars, army figures and transformers. I don’t relate at all to straight or effeminate women. I’m bi, but mostly have no idea why I’m not like other women. I am what I am. I can’t help it.
Before I knew he played wedding with his cousin (which is beyond adorable) I was a little concerned when he said, “My cousin Christina.”
Oh my god "my cousin Christina." 😂😂😂😂
I love his glasses. They really fit his face well.
I like that - it doesn't matter and you can't do anything about it. Perfect response. The "test" was not exactly fair, but the cousin answer was perfect response! Keep the mom guessing!!!!!😉
I want to hug this guy so much bless him
LOVE THE VID. I HOPE THIS YOUNG MAN HAS NOTHING BUT PEASE, JOY AND TRUE LOVE IN HIS LIFE.
Pease is always good to have
Who would you marry? Cinderella or the Prince?
Let's face it, a gay kid would not even look at Cinderella's prince. He barely had any character at all. He only got one in the third movie where he spoke more often, and didn't act like a doll. Also, he looked hotter in that movie.
I want a Disney movie with Princes as main characters that aren't foreshadowed by the princesses, evil, dead or too young. I don't even care if he ends up in a het marriage! Just get me a prince that also has a hot helper in the background! T^T
Two princes on a magical adventure sounds nice.
Have you watched The Road to El Dorado?
Two things:
1. He still has a lot of pain inside of him.
2. This channel is outrageously underrated.
Yes you can still feel his pain
"She began to suspect I was gay"... She knew you were gay back when you were obsessing over the Wizard of OZ and Judy Garland.
really nice story - and different. Really could have used something like this having happened to me.
What a wonderful doctor! 💖🙏
He looks kind of akward, but I find him pretty attractive :B
I knew a gay guy when I was in the army. He said his mother has sent him to a psychiatrist supposedly to fix him. I think he said the same thing
What l am surprised about is that no one is saying what a lovely man, just obsessed with what he wants to wear.
...We can only judge the mom if we know what dress of Lady Di he was making - some were quite ugly...
I was suspecting he was Canadian because of his surname, lol. However there are Toronto’s in Iowa, Kansas, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Missouri, South Dakota, as well as County Durham England.
I had a very different experience with the medical profession. At junior high age I was sent a psychiatrist who obviously figured out I was gay but suggested that it was my fault that I was being bullied. No discussion of homosexuality occurred and I understand she just told my parents that I needed a different doctor. This experience has made me extremely skeptical of mental health professionals - even though I know that today they consider homosexuality to an alternative normal.
It’s true what he said about pediatricians, my pediatrician used to pretend to be this gruff stern guy and he’d walk into the exam room and say in this scratchy voice, “sit down” and I was a little kid I didn’t understand it. I had all this anxiety when I was little when I had to go to the doctor. The day the man died was the happiest day of my life, unfortunately.
"seems to satisfy my mother for a while" sounds like the source of ambivalence
cute nerdy look
You can't use "assuaged" singularly. You don't assuage a person, you assuage a feeling a person is having. In this case I would assume from context that he assuaged Johnny's fears, concerns, worries, sadness etc...
Precious, brave man
Johnny is beautiful!! I love the way he talks ♥
Why do so many parents freak put if they have a gay child? What a waste of time. Just tell them it's ok and you love them.
Certainly good advice, but I suppose it wasn't as obvious 20+ years ago as it is today. There was a lot of misinformation out there and I think perhaps his mom can be forgiven if she didn't know what to think at the time. Thankfully she turned to a doctor who could give her the facts of the situation, and was apparently wise enough to accept the advice that doctor gave her.
step cousin what are you doing?? o.O
he looks like that guy off of THE BIG BANG THEORY
You mean Raj?
Good vid!!
No one does YOU better than YOU!
That is a really cute story. I love it.
Another friend of Dorothy. 😂🌈
The entire medical profession declassified homosexuality as an illness in 1973, 50 years ago this year (2023). I wish you every happiness.
2 points:
One - please ask your doctor to watch you in this footage. Please tell your doctor that s/he was right on the mark.
Two - please have your mother watch this video.
He seemed to imply that his mother has since come to terms with him being gay, and since he's relating a conversation that he doesn't remember and likely wasn't privy to, it's pretty evident he and his mom have talked about this. I doubt she'd learn anything from the video she doesn't already know.
dat sassy doc, love him
We are all beautiful creatures♥️♥️♥️
I have vitiligo too

Sorry, Johnny Toronto? What a great name.
God love your mom's green suede heels; God love you Johnny. God love all people; Jeff
Awesome
Interesting how she had no issues with incest, but issues with his natural and normal tate of being gay.
The conviction is so strong that gay behaviours reveal themselves< and there seems to be no accounting why. And it gets confused because the signals are not constantly definite one way or the other. You might have crashes on your girl cousins if you are a boy, and you might like them a whole lot, but you may also veer towards the Wizard of Oz and later the movies that feature Joan Crawford and Bette Davis which provide clues about your inner drives. These are clues to character, and part of character determines sexuality as well as other aspect of a person's inner make-up. Just give up on it. You are what you are, and that should not determine whether you go to heaven or hell when you die.
The standard trope .... being Gay is always about femininity & the doctor asked him about Cinderfella ?
I am seventy years old and Wizard of Oz my favorite movie.
If you can accost your kids as themselves, then dont have kids.
True
I also got to meet Margret Hamilton the evil witch
To people out there who want children but not gay children do not have them. Unless you change your position on the matter you are only going to be a source of misery for them. You had a choice . They did NOT either with their births or SEXUAL ORIENTATION. THEY DERSERVE. BETTER THAN THAT!
Wow he has vitiligo too
He's beautiful
I noticed that too, it's a very slight case, and his skin is so light that it's hard to see.
Why are gay dudes into pretty green shoes and always other little gay stuff!?
Amen
Your mother should accept that she failed as a mother and made you gay
Honey you're fabulous 😘
I think most homosexual men identify as female at a very young age. Selecting nonbinary/third gender is a great option when available. Most gay men I know have rounded potbellies, bald or temporal receding hairlines. There is even a gay subgroup called bears that are typically very obese and unhealthy in appearance. Twinks are younger and more athletic, but bears and twinks and anything in between all tend to act like women emotionally and favor feminine things.
Did you drink like scalding hot water when you were young or something cause the area around your lips look like some type of scarring
lol it's just a case of vitiligo. You can tell by the loss of pigmentation on his hands as well. No biggie.
It is vitiligo -- it doesn't matter and you can't do anything about it. :-)
fudgesauce no I didn't mean it in an offensive way I was only curious
Sebastian, I didn't take offense at what you said. It was just an opportunity for me to make a joke by recycling the video title.
clicked on this because i thought it was a filthy frank vid
There is reorientation therapy methods that work most of the time. I like the electric shock method where wires are wrapped around the gonads and hooked up to a spark plug wire on a ford engine. Rev it up once in a while and watch the sparks fly. Even if it doesn't work it makes you not want to be gay anymore.
Thanks, Mr Jefferson
truly the president was a wise man
This from a "president " who impregnated one of his slaves. What a douche....
Thomas Jefferson Can I do the same with you? You seem closeted yourself. 💅🏼
It’s been proven that that doesn’t work but go off.
