We have frogs in our field - they can be VERY loud - they compete with the interstate noise. during the day as well
Those frogs are definitely that loud in some places.

Wildlife sounds probably need to die down when combat happens and then after about 1 to 2 minutes of no engagement then they start to come back.

True, this is how realistically it happens. When in combat or just passing by a jungle the wildlife really goes silent it's like the whole forest knows our presence. After while of not making noise the sounds return. They can make it so if enemies are closeby the noises die down. LandNav course 2018 Sri Lanka, Go lions!
@@ppwithaweewee9403 That's very interesting and cool of you to share your experience. Mad Finger Games is open for feedback. Perhaps there is a way to send that detail in. They take their project very serious. They even implemented their own bullet physics simulation/engine for gunplay, and (some) gear like tactical headsets/earmuffs deafen when you fire a round.
Looks fine, gun shots need more oomph to them sound wise.
And variance. It's literally the same sound every shot no matter where the person shooting is

Yeah the sound design needs some work, once you play squad or tarkov every other gun sound effect sounds like it belongs in a ps3 era COD

Yeah they need to work on that animation for sure! Make it roll a lot tighter or show it thinner, it shouldn’t look like 2 rolls or TP w 0 pressure / tightness around the wound

Agree the sound is too quiet, especially because the character does not wear headsets to protect his ears.
The sound seems too static to me as well. Needs some variation with echo and reverb cause currently it sounds like they're all shooting in a sound-proofed room lol

yea need a lower bumf, for the explosion in the chamber and a louder crack and lingering echo/reverb from the supersonic crack, especially being surrounded by buildings and mountains. though the foliage might soak some of that up.

Funny part is all the walking and moving is motion captured from real , actual , retired special forces .. which makes your comments hilarious.
In fact , the guy that they used for most of it was an operator for 20 years. His entire purpose on the project was to make the models move the way he actually moved .
Mocap is one thing. Shittily implimenting it is another. When they say they move robotically take a look at how the AI either B-lines it through bushes or turns sharply and that's the issue. In real life you would kinda traverse around whatever object, you wouldn't have perfect form walking the way these characters are. @@DummyThinksThoughts

The gameplay trailer looks promising and for pre-alpha it has a solid foundation. With continued expansion on sounds, effects, animations and gameplay - which I'm sure the developers will do - this could really take off!

@@Reymastereo No, they've stated that this will (for better or worse) be in EA for however long it takes to achieve their vision. The "2024" release date on Steam is for EA, which should actually be any day now since they were, and afaik still are, aiming for a Q1 release.

The environments remind me a lot of Crysis 1 but with much more advanced graphics tech wise, it's incredibly beautiful and a natural looking game!
Though the first person animations are definitely a bit stiff and unpolished as well as third person animations but the game is in early access so it's not a big deal as long as it gets fleshed out later on.
Not gonna lie I'm excited to see how this turns out!

As someone who is from a country with rice paddy, Mud physics on those rice paddy should be fixed. They were just literally walking on it as if it were some normal hardened dirt, its actually muddy and quite deep in reality - very hard to walk on, talk about running in them.

this not uncut gameplay, its not even 100% gameplay, its onrails script for alot of this, a hint for this is the heli ride is short, won't load to much for system, the run from heli to first contact is on rails, the cuts from switching, also the devs even said they had to stitch "game play sessions together"
Not only the gunplay, but they got the atmosphere and the settings of Thailand down perfectly. The building designs/architecture, sound design, etc.
They don't have a ladyboy flounting itself in your face and guiding your hand to its pecker once you say that there is no way its not a woman .

atmosphere/environments look great so does the audio. excellent sense of place. the character animations need some work for sure but this is promising
the guns sounds like the m4 from css, no suppression , no sound of the impacts of the bullets , the animations are clunky , the stance when idle is wayyy to static... A lot of works still need to be done but that looks promising

Love the landscape and clarity of visuals. The POV camera is a bit stiff, could be a little more dynamic.
You know for everyone saying gunshots sound odd, while the tone of them does sound a bit odd (I'd up the bass, give them some more oomph without just making them louder), odds are they're supposed to be wearing peltors or some electronic hearing protection that cuts the volume. Through that lense, it's not that bad.
Well if it's so, then how come nature and the toad sounds is so loud? Lol. They need to toned down that sounds
@@fahtydewantara2698electronic hearing protection is often used to amplify ambient sound so you can hear better, and it cuts out for a split second when a gunshot happens. They've actually modeled it pretty well imo.
@@fahtydewantara2698 because the headphones are made to tone down sounds over a certain decibel. The same reason you can hear a person talking next to you IRL but the shots are still muffled.
If they're electronic, they only cut out noises that are a certain volume, like gunshots, but not muffle more normal sounds like talking or frogs.
Can confirm, frogs are not loud enough to trigger activate hearing protection.
@@fahtydewantara2698 Those electronic headsets will amplify low sounds while lowering loud sounds. Makes eavesdropping very easy. The ambient sounds are still awful, though. At least cut the animal sounds when the gunshots start.
Marketing blurb example: "Amplifies ambient sound to avoid isolation. Impact Sport's patented sound amplification enhances the wearer's awareness of their environment by amplifying ambient sounds, allowing them to hear important communication [co-workers, alarms/warning signals]."
Graphics look nice but that's to be expected with UE5, the gameplay and weapon mechanics just seem extremely generic. This is far closer to a casuals DMZ than it is even remotely close to Tarkov.

lmao umm you clearly havent researched the game, they're having the most advanced and modern ballistics and bullet physics in any game by a mile. weapon mechanics? this is exactly how a real like m4 would handle when shot by a soldier, they dont fly up in the air like COD, literal 8 year olds shoot an AR easily. also all weapon handling is mocapped and based on special forces operators they hired so....
Hopefully this gets a lot more work done to it, right now it just looks like a more polished Ground Branch.

so they went in, did some npc killing, and left. whats the premise of the game? and how is a seemless helicopter infil/exfil going to work with 48 players.

It's a PvEvP game from what they've said. Kinda like if old ghost recon had a dash of extraction shooter, except everything is persistent in the server instead of being on a raid timer system.
my guess is copters are just on a continuous loop. We also don't know how they decided to enter the server. This could be a clean-up run (similar to scavs in tarkov), or some other mode. We literally don't know much about the game up to this point in the video.

incoming and outgoing fire needs work. they need some type of low and high ready. Animations need a little work.
But for pre alpha gameplay, this is awesome. So much potential!
