Katelyn is just so fun to watch and her speed is really amazing I am almost always so impressed with how she run❤️
As a wheelchair user I have nether walked or ran, but Katelyn's action and stride length and sheer rhythm it does look rather beautiful and free-flowing. I've watched as much as I can find, it's rather attractive that someone with a quiet and reserved nature and soft-spoken can run like the wind. Fortunately I am also a youthworker so see everyday our young people achieving wonderful things. Go, go Katelyn. Best wishes from the UK.
It's amazing to watch Tuohy run. Not only does she have an incredible stride length but she is so balanced. Just look how her ponytail moves compared to the other girls. No waste to sideways energy.

Given that she is just average height, it is surprising how long her stride is.
@@JRobbySh if one can start cardio early and keep their mile times into adulthood and not gain too much weight they could see huge stride length gains

@@runningislife1523 exactly, not to mention she's a 3 time consecutive national champion, which has a very good chance of never being touched by anyone ever again, let that alone sink in, she has several wins in other major events running consistent dominating times, don't get me wrong jenna hutchins is the real deal and I respect her as a phenomenal runner but it's not even close compared to tuohy overall!🧐
Girls name was Jenna Hutchins. I’ve known her since middle school she’s always been an insane runner.

Girls follow a different improvement curve than boys. Hopefully, as she changes from girl phenom to a woman athlete, she'll avoid the temptation to overtrain or take shortcuts. If she drops off as a college frosh that's developmentally normal, she'll get it all back and more as a senior athlete as long as she stays healthy in her body and mind.
I would think when other people see Katelyn at races they may think " oh great Katelyns here, I wonder who is going to get second" They may not, but it seems like a lot of people would even if they don't want to .

Track kinda pushes people off and she is really popular so people would try to see her and interviewing and stuff. It’s a chaotic thing after races.personally I never stay on the track the minute I’m done, I leave the zone because I don’t look good after races especially the 5 minutes after I finish.
I watched the end she went to get water and then went back.
When was the competition in the video? However, it is certainly strong, but it has an unfluid and therefore costly race. For me she has to practice, yes these aspects

Earned all-conference honors in the 3000 (9:22.37) and 5000 (16:18.99) at ACC Championship
Garnered bronze-medal honors in the 5000 at conference championships
Earned top 20 finishes in all six races she competed in, including four top-10 finishes
Qualified for NCAA Indoor Championship in the 5000
Her 16:02.06 mark at the Boston Season Opener ranks sixth in program history
2019 Cross Country:
Earned highest national finish by a Wolfpack freshman at the NCAA Championships since 2010 to take home All-America honors in her rookie season. Placed 22nd overall as the fastest American freshman (20:32.5)
Finished fourth in the first regional meet of her career. Highest freshman finisher in the women's 6K with a time of 20:02.6
Garnered All-ACC status with a fourth-place finish (20:53.0) at the conference meet
Finished in the top 35 in all three of NC State's regular-season meets against some of the nation's best runners
Honored as ACC Women's Cross Country Freshman of the Week after each week of regular-season competition for the Wolfpack
@@reginald7214 I was being a little flippant since Chmiel is a year older then Tuohy of course but yeah all the new york stand out runners seem to have found their way to Raleigh including Jenna Schulz also in this same race. Henes must have some kind of pipeline to the northeast. and this may have been the single greatest recruiting/transfer class in cross country history. and because of Covid they get them all for another year of development.

Yes but nothing major, just irritating injury same as Marlee starliper, nc state coaches arent gonna risk serious serious injury so both of them are gonna somewhat take it easy till next season!👍🧐

Touhy may be good but she has lousy sportsmanship. Gets refreshed instead of waiting to greet her fellow runners.

She’s working with incredible trainers, I think they know what they’re doing. Strength is super important in running too. I mean just look at Emma Coburn...
don’t ever comment on somebody’s body. she is strong and fast, faster than you.
Is there really any point to training a 14 year old girl to be a beast? After a year or two, all but very very few of them develop into much poorer athletes, just based on mother natures plan, then the girl has to deal with a miriad of disappointments which throw a pall over her teenage running career and her mental attitude toward the whole enterprise.
Giving all the girls a low-key approach until they are women allows them to enter what may be a long running life with completely realistic expectations because their fully-formed athletic instrument (body) will be what it's going to be for the long haul. The few elite will still become great, but the giant mass of teenage train wrecks over the years wouldn't have to suffer this nonsense--they could just enjoy the fostering of the love of running, and take it with them throughout future years.
