Marjorie Hoshelle was Jeff Chandler's wife. Willis Bouchey was an excellent character actor, usually in John Ford's classics like The Horse Soldiers in 1959.
@@GM-cf6jv I stuck with it through the end. For a B movie, it was pretty well acted. Not bad for a double bill in a nice air conditioned theater on a hot summer night. BUT, you're right. I almost bailed too. The script waited too long to give us her back story. The Lady Vanishes did a better job of letting us know there was crime afoot and what the STAKES were. And these fellow passengers just weren't reacting quite normally in being around someone "out of their mind." There was no URGENCY to them. The tension could've been way higher. It need more back story to the the passengers so everyone and yet no one would seem to have a motive for being in on whatever true explanation was for what happened to her husband.
I saw this movie probably 40 years ago I had forgotten all about it, quite a storyline!
The fog horn is like a character. It sets the tone, foreshadows, and is symbolic. It's like a triangle in a symphony orchestra; it plays one tone

Carl Betz was a very good leading man and actor. Jeanne Crain is lovely ❤ That's the type of liner I'd like to cross on.
Annoying movie! I bailed

Was a time when crossing the Atlantic was a vacation. For some. We are still trying to compensate for those got toll free from Africa.
Keepin the divide alive 😏
Saw this about 10 yrs ago & hated how she was treated. Ug.
Voices are not in synch with action.
...getting very annoyed at that dreaded ' fog horn ' throughout the Movie 😡...
Have you been on a ship in the fog?
What? Speak louder! I can't hear you over the fog horn!
I love the fog horn, like some ancient tribal buffalo horn echoing across the valleys....!
