This film was really good. I love the fashions and decor. Also, the lighting in these old films was truly designed to add effects.

dateline and 48 hours>was this a joke >or>?do they actually remind u of them ,,bc i dont see any resemblance ,,except for sick wife beautiful gf drugs tampered and murder yeah but these are way easier to watch and know theyre just movies...48 and dateline are haunted with scamming hate love triangles and crimes but more insidious

      Yes, " As one sows,
      so shall one reap" .
      The one thing that
      stood out in the story
      was that men cant be
      patient ! They have
      to have it now !
      If the silly husband had
had a bit of self control,
      all would have worked
      out well, but he was
      so selfish, he even
      killed his paramour
      as well ! 👎👿
      Monster ! 👿
      Still, patience and
      kindness don't attract
      drama / crime movie
      fans, do they !
By the way, I don't agree
      about " great movie " 👎😢
      🇬🇧😢🦉🤔🇺🇲

Women used to dress, every day. We were poor but almost every day my mother wore skirts, with blouses or sweaters, always ironed crisp and fresh. I followed her example, different clothes but I was dressed, every day. Sometimes a girlfriend would ask where I was going...no place. Just dressed...

Because her devotion was to Mrs. Harrison. And seeing Mr. Harrison dead and that "new woman" that she hated for taking Mrs. Harrison's place, she was happy to see justice done, although a rather perverted justice.
The part I didn't get was when The Whistler said that the page from the diary could have saved Mr. Harrison's neck, I don't see how it could have. They had the bottle analyzed; it contained poison; and the page from the diary showed that Mrs Harrison witnessing him coming into her room and doing something with that bottle.

@@j.criquette3334 Thanks. I also saw that...but if she just wrote in her diary that she saw her husband with a poison bottle, and she suspected him, then WHY would she take a drink..and die from said poisoning? If you were going to get that bottle analyzed, wouldn't you go: "Oh, I'm not taking any chances, there could be poison in anything I'm going to consume here." That's why I even thought when you see her on the floor, I thought for a moment she was faking her death. Aaah, some movie scripts.......

The letter would have proved that she didn't drink the poison. Saving his neck might mean that he wouldn't receive the death penalty since he did not directly cause her death. The stress of it all caused her to relapse, not the poison. But since he strangled the new wife, the letter would do him no good in that case. just my analysis of a movie.
